Democratic Rambling Anecdotes [1]

This is going to be a very short story.
Upon reading the reviews of Joe Biden’s 30-minute speech yesterday in the foreign press online this morning, two things stood out.
First, that Joe ripped Trump for doing what he’s done and is doing. Just like everyone here on Kos, and resembling a lot on Substack, etc., as well as the Press. Nothing new there.
Second, for God’s sake, why? Why do I say this?
The foreign press — with at least the possibility of being minimally biased, unlike U.S. sources of all colors in this polarized corruption of a nation — brings up the second, sorely obvious point, that Biden is evincing debility of age.
This mitigates the reliability of his remarks otherwise, and it re-emphasizes the recent dysfunction of the Party as a whole. And it re-states the obvious. It was reported that Trump posted a clip of Joe delivering a “rambling anecdote”. This is the foreign Press.
Joe should be completely retired back to Dewey Beach this summer, issuing the occasional insightful comment to the Press in very limited interviews with truthful but friendly reporters who delete rambling remarks. Democrats’ public image is the job of the DNC. For shame.
I was an adult when Biden was elected to the Senate over a half century ago. He is an inspiration for us all, and me in particular. He was an antiwar Senator from near my home, elected over a half-century ago. Felt the horror about Neila and the child, and later on Beau. Sat on the same beach facing East as Joe might have long ago and watched the sun come up over the Atlantic on a hot summer day. Love the guy.
But it’s time to play the right parts. The Party has to pass the torch. So does the DNC.
