Immunity and Insurrection [1]

When the Colorado SC ruled that Trump will not be on the ballot in that state three things immediately came to mind.
First, We are gonna face a number of weeks with talking heads telling us, in minutiae, why this ruling will succeed or fail based on the constitutional foundation of the ruling. After a while that's gonna glaze the eyes of many Americans.
Second, our SC has a historically tough stretch coming up. They have to rule if Trump has presidential immunity in all things legal and illegal. And they now have to rule if Trump can be scratched from a ballot because of insurrection as per the constitution (provided you don't twist it into a taffy of MAGA wishes). We could easily end up with Trump's immunity ruling quashing the ballot case against him. In other words I firmly believe the conservative SC will allow Trump enough presidential immunity to keep the 14th amendment from being used against his attempt to run for president.
Third, I'm not a lawyer. I'm gonna look at this like the majority of us would. Why in the hell should we let a man run for president in a country where he illegally tried to overthrow the will of the voters via numerous seditious plots backing an insurrection?
I don't think the Conservative SC is going to help America here. They will say that a president is not immune from prosecution - except the type of prosecution Trump is undergoing. They will say that Trump can't be kept off a ballot because that is somehow now the purview of the Federal Government or that states no longer control an election to the point they can decide to remove Trump from a ballot.
And I think that puts our country in a real bad place.
