The first thing that happens when we diet is for our hunger to increase. Not only are we eliminating food, but more importantly, we are cutting down on the nutrients our body is getting. Food today is lacking in nutrients and since much of our diet is fast food and snacks, this is even more of a problem. Many times, we overeat because our body tells us, we need vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. With this one post I can’t solve all your weight problems, but I can point you in a way that may help, You will be healthier in the process.
Try adding nutritional yeast to your diet.
GoodRx Health makes this claim:
What are the health benefits of eating nutritional yeast?
May help boost energy levels. Vitamin B12 helps the body form red blood cells. ...
May help lower the risk of birth defects. ...
Might boost gut health. ...
Might help lower cholesterol. ...
Healthline.com says:
“This ingredient fits nearly any diet or eating style. It’s naturally low in sodium and calories, and it’s fat-free, sugar-free, gluten-free, and
Protein: 3 grams
Fat: 0 grams
Carbs: 2 grams
Sugar: 0 grams
Fiber: 4% of the Daily Value (DV)
Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 246% of the DV
Niacin (vitamin B3): 109% of the DV
Vitamin B6: 212% of the DV
Folate (vitamin B9): 59% of the DV
Vitamin B12: 313% of the DV
And Trace minerals. These include zinc, selenium, manganese, and molybdenum, which ae involved in gene regulation, metabolism, growth, and immunity. You will note that there are hardly any calories, yet the yeast is chock full of B Vitamins. Along with other minerals. The yeast may increase the number of good bacteria in the gut which helps protect against certain infections”.
Because you are providing your body with additional nutrients, you may find that you will eat less and lose weight. The yeast can be sprinkled on almost anything from eggs in the morning to spaghetti at noon to popcorn in the evening. It only takes a couple of teaspoons and like with any product, you may increase the amount, but use caution. Since you are adding fiber to your diet, you may want to start slowly and build up to the modest amount. If you have been taking vitamins, this may be a more natural way to include them in your lifestyle.
