Welcome to what is the 1240th original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’ll be profiling Steve Marino, a former member of the Michigan House of Representatives first elected in 2016, and who served three terms in office before term limits caught up to him. This little string puppet who came to life to be a real boy was noteworthy because of the fact that he was dating a fellow lawmaker, and when she broke off their relationship, alleging domestic abuse, he promised he would “destroy” her, that she was a “parasite” and that he “hoped your car explodes on the way in”, so she got a protective order that required him to always be chaperoned at the Michigan state capitol to assure he’d steer clear of her.Great. Another incel seething that he can’t get anywhere with women. As if the GOP doesn’t have enough of those these days.Marino tried denying any wrongdoing, but text messages that are kept are pretty solid evidence. Still, he lucked out that he was not charged with stalking or harassment. The protective order served as enough of a consequence to embarrass him for the remainder of his time in office, and he has six years of conservative nuttery he supported to show for it.Here's hoping he never re-emerges as an elected official.
