After the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1995 Tim McVeigh was arrested. Time Magazine put his face on the cover with the caption, “The Face of Terror.” He had not been convicted at the time.
Ed Bradley interviewed McVeigh. Bradley did not shake hands. He did not exchange niceties. He told McVeigh that most Americans thought he was guilty and that he would be executed.
The bipartisan January 6th committee heard evidence under oath that Donald Trump had a 7 part plan to overturn the 2020 election. When all else failed, he tried to murder Congress to avoid the transition of power. Donald Trump is a terrorist. Five people died on January 6th and 140 people are suffering from chronic injuries.
There aren’t many differences between McVeigh and Trump. If I were interviewing Trump, I would not shake hands. I would not exchange niceties. A sane person doesn’t shake hands with a terrorist.
If I had the misfortune to interview Donald Trump, I would look to Ed Bradley’s example.
