I keep wondering whether a reverse psychology sign campaign would work or backfire. I live in a red state. I’m thinking of a nice friendly red yard sign that says

vote

REPUBLICAN

MAKE the RICH RICHER

Or putting up handbills at the university that say “Don’t vote! People older and wiser should run the nation! You don’t even know how to do it! It takes too much time! It’s too hard to register!” And perhaps add a QRC code to a website with voting instructions.

Maybe I could make a bumper sticker that says “Kill Social Security! You’ll never be old!”

I’ve never dared because I’m afraid people would see “Vote Republican blah blah blah!” and think “Why yes, I am a Republican! Count on me!”

What do you think? What would your sign say?
