Make Sure the power on your Super Nintendo is OFF.
Place game pak into the SNES.
Turn Power on.
First you will see the EA Sports logo.
After The EA Sports Logo You will see a Black Pearl Logo.
After that there will be 2 license screens.
Then after that you will see the NHL '97 Screen with
all the team logos flying everywhere.
After the NHL '97 screen there will be 2 production team screens.
Then there will be the Game setup screen.

There are 3 game modes in NHL '97 they are:
Exhibition/Season/Practice

I. Exhibiton: It's a 5 on 5 game.
The options for The Exhibition Game are:

       A. Skill Level: Novice, Intermidiate, & Expert
       B. Period Length: 5, 10, 20 minutes
       C. Goalies: Manual, Automatic
       D. User Records: On, Off
       E. Penalties: On, Off, No offsides
       F. Line Changes: On, Off, Automatic
       G. Rosters: With Trades, Default
       H. Fighting: On, Off

II. Practice: Practice your skills in this mode
The options for Practice are:

       A. Visitor Players: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
       B. Home Players: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
       C. Skill Level: Novice, Intermidiate, & Expert
       D. Period Length: 5, 10, 20
       E. Rosters: With Trades, Default

III. Season: Play the whole 1997/98 NHL season
The League Menu for The season is:

       A. Games Today: Choose the games you want to play or simulate
       B. NHL Standings: Each Teams' Standings throughout the season
       C. Game Options
               1. Skill Level: Novice, Intermidiate, Expert
               2. Goalies: Manual, Automatic
               3. User Records: On, Off
               4. Penalties: On, Off, No Offsides
               5. Line Changes: On, Off, Automatic
               6. Fighting: On, Off
               7. Playoffs: Single-Game, Multi-Game

       D. Team Roster: The Teams Updated roster
       E. Player Stats: Team By Team leaders

               1. Trade Players: This Option is so you can trade players from 1 team to another.
               Remember that you have to make the trades equal in order to get the trade
               2. Sign Free Agents: You can sign anyone who is in the free agent core
               3. Release Players: So you can make space for your team
               4. Create Player: You can create a hockey player
       H. Play Until A Day: Simulate Games Until A Certain Day
       I. End Season Today: Go Directly into the Playoffs

Question} Is there any way to get infinite Attributes for Create-A-Player?

Answer} Yes there is. The way you get them is right when you turn on your SNES Hold the
R Button. Now keep holding the R button but normally Go through all the license & logo screens.
Now keep holding the R & L button untill you get to the Game Setup Screen. Then you should hear
"EA Sports".

Question} Are there any hidden teams?

Answer} Yes there are 2 teams. Complete the Process like you did for the Infinite Attributes.
