1. About Me
Well, I've been playing MHF almost every day since itÕs come out and I would
have to say that it is one of the best damn games out there with the exception
of Pokemon and Final Fantasy 7 (yes I'm a fanboy). I have over 400 hours on
this game and I decided to help out some ppl out by writing this FAQ cause
I know trying to beat those wyverns with different amours and weapons can be
hard for some.

2. WhatÕs in this guide?
In this guide will be instructions on where to go, what to do and what to get
in the different areas. It will tell you the amour, items, weapons and skills
the armor gives.

3. What is the Training School?
The training school is where you can practice against wyverns with pre-chosen
equipment and items. It is unlocked for use after slaying your first Kut-Ku.
The items you find around the map are different from that you find in the real
quests. Also sometimes the wywerns have different amounts of health than
the elder quests so if you need to you can check

Tactics- Leave camp, and in area 1 look in the dung for some mega potions and
in the plant for a map and a psychoserum. Run to area 3 and plant a pitfall.
Kill the Velociprey for some throwing knives and in area 10 look for sleep
herbs. Combine with throwing knives to get sleep throwing knives. When the
Kut-Ku lands lead him into the trap, unload some combos on him until he
escapes. Then use a flash and unload some more combos. He should be dead by
now but if not then hit him a couple more times until he dies.

Tactics- Get the mega potions and the map, go to area 3 and wait. When the
Kut-Ku lands wait until he starts to growl and then hit his head.
Repeat until he tries to limp away then just follow him to the den and hit
him until he dies. Simple.

Tactics- HAMMER TIME! Basically do the same as the GS but donÕt even use
the spinning hammer thing, (Holding R then release while moving) it sucks.
Just take the mega Demondrug when you see him and hit triangle 3 times when
he growls. Should take u bout 7 min.

Tactics- Well, I donÕt think you will need the Mega potions for this but get
them anyway. Run around until u find him then unload the Crag lv 1 and 2 on
his FACE. Then unload the pellet shots because the have the water element.
If heÕs not dead then shoot the pierce shot on his FACE so that it goes to his
wing or tail. NEVER and I repeat Never use normal lv 1 on a wyvern and only
things like Felyne and Velociprey cause itÕs just dumb.

Portable Spit
Tactics- Run to the desert part and take the Cool Drink. Find the Cephadrome
(the big black fin sticking out of the ground) and use the sonic bomb. While
heÕs flopping around hit him as many times as u can until he starts spinning.
The stand in front of him and wait until he rears his head back to shoot a
sand ball then run up from the side and do a jump attack combo on his head.
Pull back before you get hit and repeat.

Tactics- This can be finished in 3 minutes if you do it right. As soon as u
start take the cool drink and forget the Apceros. Find the Cephadrome and
throw the sonic. Hit him while he flops around and when he gets up stay under
his legs and keep pressing triangle, circle, triangle circle, circle triangle
He should die very quickly.

Tactics- Take the cool drink and head out into the desert. Cephadrome stops
for about 3 seconds at each 3rd turn. Wait at the turn and when he stops
triangle him until he either (1. Keeps swimming or 2. Is sent flying into
the air) If 1 do it again, if 2 keep beating the crap out of him and bust on
his head when he shoots a sandball. O Yeah and donÕt forget to take the Mega
Demondrug.

turn and when he stops pummel him. Once he out of the ground u can get some
cheap shots by throwing the flash bomb. Wait till he shoots a sand ball and
the get his head with circle circle circle.

Tactics- Take the cool drink and find the Cephadrome. Shoot him with a crag to
get him out of the ground. Get in front of him and shoot both thunder S and
pierce through his head. Then shoot the Clust on his back. If heÕs not dead
then use the rest of the crags.

Tactics- When u find him paintball him and use the throwing knives.
While he is stunned plant the bombs. To detonate them u have to hit them the
roll away immediately. Then Demonize and when he runs toward u then stops and
bite at things in front of him attack with triangle circle (cause everything
else will be deflected), after 2 of these the light crystal will be knocked
off. Then just pummel him until he dies.

Tactics- Paintball the wyvern use psychoserum to make it easier and hit his
head when he bites. When the crystal is gone it make your job much easier. The
go between his legs and keep upwards slashing him.

Tactics- STOPÉÉ. HAMMER TIME! Since your knock out is negated u donÕt have to
worry about hitting his head (Unless u want to kill him faster - not
recommended). Take the Demondrug and hold R then run between his legs, stop
then release to hit him hard. The press circle tri tri tri and roll away.

Tactics- Once you find it put it to sleep. Then lay the bombs around
his head and set them off with your spear. Sit in front of him with
your shield out and when he bites at you hit min with triangle with
your shield still up. Then bust away at his legs while watching out
for his tail.

Tactics- K, once you find him shoots the crags at his head to get the
lightcrystal off. The use the clusts on his upper stomach. Then finish
him off with the 2 pellets. Easy pisy lemon squeezy.

Tactics- Kill the aptonoth (the dinosaur thing) and take the meat then in the
forest get the sleep herbs. Make drugged meat then once you see the los and he
doesnÕt see you place the meat and hide. HeÕll eat it then fall asleep. Place
the bombs on his head then set them off. Then flash him and hit his head. Once
out of flashes he should be almost dead so run at him and just hit him as many
times as you can.

away or you kill him.

Tactics- The los is already marked on your map so itÕs easy to find. First use

Bone Husk. Once your out of that Clust lv 1 will finish him off.

demonize him. Then let him charge at you and dodge it. Then run up behind him
and bust away at his stomach until he tries to use the poison gas. Repeat
until dead.

it goes through to his wing or tail. Heavy Bowguns are much slower so roll
away if he starts to turn or youÕll get charged. Then run around while
shooting both pellets until he dies.

Tactics- Run into the swamp and take the mega juice. Once you find the Rathian
start to throw the Flash Bombs and Demonize and press circle circle on her
head. Then if you can lay the Pitfall and take a power pill. When she falls in
you should demonize Triangle Circle. If sheÕs not dead yet then hit her in the
head a couple of times.

Tactics- Run to area 8 and search for a frog. Once you get one go back to area
7 and fish for Nessie. Once out of the water flash her and plant the LBB+ at
her feet and detonate them then. Plant the rest and detonate them. Flash her
again and Combo her head until she comes to. Plant the Pitfall right where he
runs to get back in the water (you might not need it). Wait in front of her
and when she spits ice at you hit her head with a combo.

Plessy until she jumps out of the water. Hold R and when she spits run up,
stop and release. Repeat. Once the top fin is limping downwards run between
her leg and triple triangle her to death.

Tactics- Once you throw the sonic and sheÕs flopping on the ground charge at
her so u go from her head to tail. Wait till she spits ice at u and charge at
her head (cause when she spits she lowers her tail just after-Perfect for
charging). Once you run low on Stamina forget the Well-Done Steaks and just
triple triangle her head when spitting.

Tactics- Crag her out of the water and jump on the ledge. Shoot the Pierce

Tactics- Run to Monoblos and throw a flash. Hit his legs till he comes to.
When he tries to charge throw a flash and when he burrows throw a sonic just
as his tail disappears. DonÕt throw anything if heÕs in rage mode
(thereÕs red on his head crest). Then go right up against the wall
(if there is one) and dodge at the last second so heÕll get stuck.
Keep doing this until he dies.

Tactics- This for me was by far the hardest training mission EVER! Use the
Psychoserum and find the Monoblos. ONLY fight him while in an area with a
ledge.
Get up on the ledge and when he gets stuck jump down and hit his tail until
unstuck. Repeat until tail is no more. Then do the same thing except stay on
the ledge and hit his head. If he runs wait until heÕs in an area with a ledge
before fighting him again.

Tactics- Take the Demondrug and throw a flash bomb. Hit in between his legs
until out of flashes. Then get up on the ledge and when he gets stuck triple
triangle his head. Repeat until dead.

Tactics-Wait till he borrows then throw a sonic and triple circle him until
unstuck. Do it again until out of Sonics. Then stand in front of a ledge with
your shield out. HeÕll get stuck and youÕll get some free shots.
Repeat until dead.

Tactics- This was by far the easiest training mission and way to get expand
pickaxes EVER! Stand on the ledge and shoot all pellets them all the pierce.
I barley even moved the entire fight. Just get in a good spot and you donÕt
even have to aim. Then finish him off with both Clusts.

Tactics- Once you find him paint it cause it takes awhile to find him. Lay the
pitfall and stand in front of it. It might take a minute for him to fall in,
cause he moves so slowly. Once trapped, Demonize! Take the Mega Juice and
demonize him when he spits electric balls or when he jumps. Sometimes take a
power pill to boost your attack.

electric ball. When he jumps go behind him and hit his stomach. Be sure to
roll away when he gets up or you will be ELECTRO SHOCKED!

Tactics- take the Demondrug and wait in a cave. Once he arrives beat away at
his head with triple triangle when he rears up to spit electric balls. Run
around until he does that again because the hammer is too slow and Khezu is
too quick to use the ELECTRO SHOCK!

Tactics- Once you find Khezu stay close to him but with your shield up.
Press triangle with your shield up when he is surrounding himself with
electricity. When he shoots a ball of electricity triple triangle him and
then pull your shield back up. Keep doing this until he dies.

Tactics- This one is hard because you get crappy ammo. Once you find him shoot
all the crag S. Then you have to run around dodging him while shooting all the
normal lv 2, 3. This can be tricky cause he likes to follow you on the ceiling
and then drop down so keep your eye open. Then shoot a couple of pierce S and
heÕll be a fried chicken.

Tactics- Once you find him take a cool drink. Lay the pitfall and lead him
into it. Hit his wing when heÕs trapped. Then flash him and lay the bombs
around him and set them of with the other bombs. The use the other flashes and
hit his legs until he comes to. He should be running low on health so wait
until he tries to flame breath you and the hit his wings but watch out because
sometimes he spits out gas too.

Demondrug. Now since sleep id negated you can just stay in between his legs
and triple triangle him to death. Or since he has a fiery gas as well you can
hit his wings when he spits fire out of his mouth or his legs when he charges.
