A: The Basics
1. Introduction
Shao Lin is a game which mixes the themes of an rpg and a fighting
game extremely well. It is set in China, where bandits are the most
feared people by all, for they kill and take without mercy.
When playing, you actually "grow up" according to what you do in the
game. And with that, you also gain new skills, become more powerful and
speedy.
Quests vary from avenging your parents' death, stopping a demon from
world domination, finding the perfect lover, being a bad guy, and even
finding "Heaven" on earth as something connected to eternal youth, but
whichever path one takes, they have to stand tall and overcome bandits
with all they've got...for to reach their ultimate goal, they have to go
to the Black Lotus Temple...alive.
2. The Controls
(Moving Around The City)
- To move, use the direction pad.
- To talk, choose an option, and open doors, press the X button.
- To see your stats, you can simply stand still for 2
seconds, or press the TRIANGLE button.
- To run, hold down the SQUARE button then push the direction you wish
to run to.
(When In A Battle Scene)
- To move, use the direction pad.
- To punch, press the X button.
- To kick, press the CIRCLE button.
- To block up-waist attacks, press the SQUARE button.
- To block below-waist attacks, press the SQUARE and R2 buttons at the
same time.
- To jump, press the R1 button.
- To face an enemy when they attack in groups, press the L1 button.
- To charge up your special stance, hold down L2 until the aura
explodes.

Part B: The Story Mode - What You Need To Know
1. The Basic Form Of A City
- A city consists usually from 5 to 6 buildings.
- The two most important of the buildings are: The Inn and The
Restaurant.
- The place that you need to go to in order to finish your work in that
city is the City Temple.
- The city only has one entrance, which also serves as your exit.
- Temples are characterized by large structures, and are usually
guarded by its students.
2. Level Gaining
- It is one of the most important things that you will want to do, as
increasing your level means increasing your life, strength, skill,
defense, and speed.
- You can gain levels by defeating bandits that roam around town.
- The increase in life, strength, skill, defense, and speed depends on
what you do and how well you fight in the battle. The slowest aspect
which increases is the defense. The fastest one to increase is
strength.
3. The Talk-Fight-Travel Cycle
- Finishing the game revolves around this cycle: Talk-Fight-Travel.
- The first step that you should do in a city is to talk to everyone
that is standing in place.
- Enter every building and talk to everyone inside.
- After doing that, go to the city's shrine and challenge the person
guarding it. After defeating all the students, you may then challenge
the Master of that shrine.
- After defeating the Master of a shrine, you may then travel to other
cities in order to defeat the masters.
4. The Bandits
- Bandits are the people who walks around town. If you talk to them,
you will enter battle mode.
- It is random if you are going to fight one, two, or three opponents
in a battle scene.
- There's a point in the game where the bandits are just standing still
because you have to HUNT for them.
- Bandits usually look like egyptian kings, wearing cloth on their
head.
- Some bandits are girls wearing school uniform with mini-skirts.
- Some wear blue kung fu clothes.

Part C: The Story Mode - Walkthrough
*It doesn't matter if you choose to be a male or female, since the plot
for each technique will always be the same.
1. Shaolin - Guangzhou City
You start out in Guangzhou City. Talk to everyone. You will soon
learn about your past and what the evil Han Lao Tai and his gang did to
your parents, family, and friends. Roam around the city and you'll soon
find two bullies on the upper-right part of the city. Beat them. After
that, decide to forgive them or not. If you don't you will fight them
again after your decision. Else, they'll just leave you alone and act
like babies.
Roam around and beat up a few bandits to gain some level. Don't worry
about spending money because as long as you're in this city and haven't
left yet, everything is FREE.
Don't forget to check your health and endurance status since you're
still starting out and a few good punches from your enemies will
instantly knock you out.
Also, don't spend to much time gaining levels because it has its
drawbacks also. Spending too much time in one city speeds up your
process of age. It is important to stay as much as possible as a child
up to young since these levels will earn you more of everything. Being
old will only increase you in strength.
After you've gone up to level 5, it's alright to visit the temple just
behind the inn. Talk to the man outside the temple then select fight.
After you beat him, you will have to deal with the other students.
Proceed on beating them. After you're through, check on your health, if
it's still ok, then go inside the temple then talk to the master. He
will challenge you and you will have to beat him. After beating him,
you will learn new special skills.
Press TRIANGLE twice to bring up the obtained moves screen.
This is a nice time to SAVE YOUR GAME. Go into the inn then talk to
your grandpa. You will save your game.
After the defeat of the master (and saving your game), talk to
everyone in town for they will give you 50 copper each. Sometimes more.
After collecting the money, go to the man located down south and talk
to him. He will also give you money then he'll ask you if you want to
leave or stay. Choose leave.
You will be presented with a screen showing a map and you. You can
select any of the southern cities. Don't go to Shanghai City just yet
because you won't be able to accomplish anything as long as the four
southern temples haven't been beaten yet.
Go to Fuzhou or Changsha City.
I suggest that you go to Changsa first.
Upon arriving in Changsa City, walk around and beat up bandits as
usual. You better gain 5 more levels here or more, but keeping in mind
the past advice about over staying in one place for too long.
After checking your health and everything else and doing something
about it. If you're beaten up badly, quickly go to the restaurant and
eat. If your endurance is getting low, go rest in an inn quickly.
Go around the city again. You may encounter a doctor on the north-
east part of the city. But he won't be of any help....YET. Walk around
until you find a man on the ground. Talk to him and he'll tell you that
he's hurting. Go to the doctor and talk to him. Doc will ask about the
symptoms, so go back to the hurting man. Talk to him and remember what
he'll say (for the record...Stabbing pain, Sweating, and Bowels).
Go back to the doctor....OH NO!!! The doctor is missing! Well, just
go to the south-east part of the city then enter the house there.
You'll find the doctor is inside! Talk to him and tell him all of the
symptoms correctly. Pay him up then head back to the hurting man. Give
him the medicine, and he'll thank you. Now that was a good deed.
By now, you should've leveled up already. If not, do so. Now head to
the Drunken Boxing Temple. Talk to the man and he'll challenge you.
Beat him, and as usual, his fellow students will fight you. Be careful,
after beating all of them one by one, the next challenge will be to beat
all of them. You against ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME! This is the
reason why I told you to level up.
After overcoming the obstacle, go inside the temple then beat the
master. He will challenge you again so beat him up again. You will
then have another technique learned!
It's nice to SAVE YOUR GAME BY THIS TIME.
Now it's time to head to the next city...Fuzhou City!
Upon entering Fuzhou City, you may roam around and beat up bad guys
again. If you want, you may head straight to the Hung Gar Temple.
Challenge the guy and you'll fight. Beat up the other students.
Enter the temple then face the master.
After beating him up, you'll have a new technique!
You may SAVE THE GAME if you want.
Now we're ready to head for Shanghai City!
Of course, after checking your stats and health, you may talk to
everyone in there. If you head straight to the temple, the student will
say that the master is out and will return in a few days. Well, since
the master's gone, better build up some levels.
You'll face two school uniformed girls. Beat them up and they'll
admire you. Walk around and you'll find a would-be theif. Beat him up.
Walk around some more and you'll see the captain of the ship. He'll say
you should pay 2000 copper if you're to go north. Since you don't have
that money yet....or even if you did you would just be wasting it,
better head to the nearest inn.
After saving your game and resting, go out and head for the temple.
If the master's still out, go back to the inn and sleep. Return to the
temple.
By this time the master will be inside the the student will challenge
you. Beat everybody up then beat the master. You'll earn yourself a
nice new technique!
Now it's time to head north! But wait...you don't have 2000 copper
yet.... no need to worry! After beating up the master, you quickly
became popular the the people, even the captain's impressed. His gift
to you is a free ride north!
Your first stop there is the city of Cangzhou.
Walk around and you'll learn that there's a tournament going on.
Luckily for you, you won't have to spend your time in the prelims. Beat
everybody up in the tournament and become the champion. It should be no
problem as every match is a one on one combat. After that, head for the
Eight Extremities Fist Temple.
Beat everybody up at the temple and you'll earn yourself a new
technique!
It's nice to SAVE YOUR GAME at this point.
Next stop is the final city...Taiyuan City.
Go with the usual stuff. Beat up everyone. Go to the temple and beat
them all. You'll learn a new technique.
Walk around the city and you'll find a man who will guide you to your
most awaited place to go to...the SHAOLIN SHRINE!
By this time, you should atleast have a level of 30 or above. If not,
better start building up levels first because you're going to be in a
really almost impossible challenge. The higher your level is, the
better your chance of SURVIVAL.
Upon arriving at Shaolin Shrine, head to the south-eastern part and
you'll meet an old man. Talk to him twice and you'll get into a fight.
Beat him up. After that, he will be your friend. He will offer you
free food and lodging.
After doing what you should, go into the shrine. You will meet up
with two people. They will direct you to the left door. Head for the
entrance of the shrine then choose the left path. Follow it until you
reach a door. Get ready you are about to take the Shaolin Test!
There's no turning back now. Just follow the path, but expect danger
at every corner. You will have expect trouble four times. In every
corner, there will be wooden people who will drop from above.
Magically, they seem to have the liking to beat you up. Well, you
shouldn't be beaten up by puppets so destroy them all. Do this on every
corner.
When you arrive in a room with a horse statue steaming with heat, just
stand in front of it. You will automatically pick it up. When your
character does this, immediately mash on all the buttons of your
controller since the goal here is to turn around the statue. Your
health will decrease as you carry the hot thing, that's why you should
have a lot of health left when arriving to this point.
After overcoming the almost impossible test, you will earn about 5
level ups. Go to the old man in the south-eastern part of the shrine
and refill your health then save your game.
Return to the shrine then talk to the hermit. He'll tell you that you
succeeded and he'll tell you about Han Lao Tai, the killer of your
family. Talk to him twice and he'll tell you about the ULTIMATE
TECHNIQUE. You should go to the door on the east side of the shrine.
Again, head for the gate then follow the right to the right until you
reach the door.
Prepare yourself. Even if you had level 50, you will still have a
hard time with this test, for you will be facing the Test of The 100
Sentries!
Enter the door and you will battle 100 martial artists..including
powerful pandas!
After mirculously beating them up, you should have atleast 10 level
ups because of the toughest challenge so far.
Go back to the old man. Eat and save. Go to the shrine and talk to
the hermit. He will teach you the ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE!
The final destination awaits....it's the Black Lotus Temple, home of
Han Lao Tai!
BE SURE TO SAVE NOW!
Talk to the old man in the south-eastern part of the shrine and choose
LEAVE.
On the map, if you really are ready, <as if beating 100 guys and
pandas wasn't enough to ready anyone>, head to the Black Lotus Temple.
There's no turning back now....no more time for meals...and no more
time for saving your game.
Upon arriving, you will be rudely greeted with attacks from all of the
temple's students. Beat them up but be sure to save your health for Han
Lao Tai.
The next opponent will be a guy who looks just like M. Bison from the
Street Fighter series. Beat him up.
Now this is the final opponent. Han Lao Tai! It's time to make him
pay for all of his crimes, especially to you and your family!
It is important that you have the most health that you could save
because Han Lao Tai is almost super human! The only way to beat him up
easily is if you reach level 66. Even at that level, you'll need a lot
of health!
Be careful since Han Lao Tai uses the same style as yours, the only
thing is, he's a lot better because he can counter most of your punches
and kicks. Even flying kicks!
The best thing to do is charge up your stance then do your Ultimate
Technique. That's an almost sure way of beating him.
After beating him up...the ending will show up....
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE
MASTERED THE SHAOLIN STYLE!

2. Jeet Kune Do - Shanghai City
Han Lao Tai is planning to break open the six seals located in each
temple to release the demon and possess its powers, will you be able to
stop him?
Talk to all the people and you'll learn about Han Lao Tai. Talk to
the guy near the inn and you'll prepare to spar. Beat him up. Bandits
are not that much in this place. After doing that, go to the exit of
the town and talk to the guy who seems hurt. He'll tell you that he's
been beaten by Han Lao Tai's men. Head for the temple and enter. You
may find one of Han Lao Tai's people stealing the seal. Fight her. You
probably will get beaten up because you do so little damage since you're
still in level 1. If you get beaten, choose EXIT instead of recover hp
and just leave. Sleep.
The next day, you will be called for by the master of the temple so
talk to the guy. Beat the master. You'll gain a new technique.
If the master doesn't appear, then head to the next paragraph.
Now what you do is head to Chansha City. Gain some levels and roam
around. After building up your level, you'll get to encounter a bunch
of drunkards just outside the Drunken Boxing temple. Beat them all.
After that, the student at the temple will challenge you. Fight him and
defeat all of the other students. Beat the master. You'll get a new
technique and a secret scroll.
Next head for Guangzhou City. Talk to the student and they'll be
surprised that the seals have been broken. Fight them and beat the
master.
After that, go to Fuzhou City. Go to the temple. They won't fight
you since they're too ashamed that their seal had also been broken.
Talk to the man just in front of the exit. You'll fight. Beat him for
some points.
Head back to Guangzhou City and you'll find out that the master there
was killed by Han Lao Tai's men.
Go back to Fuzhou City and go to the temple. This time, they'll
understand you and fight you. Beat them all up, also the master. You
just got the new technique plus a scroll.
Go back to Shanghai City. If the master didn't appear the first time,
he will be there this time. Beat him.
Go around and find the captain of the ship. You'll get a free ride
north. Enter the city of Cangzhou.
The city is being harrassed by bandits. What you will do is find all
the standing bandits and kill them all. After doing that, head north
and you'll find a man. Talk to him and he'll be thankful. Head for the
temple and beat everyone up.
Go to Taiyuan City and beat all the bandits. The people will be
thankful. You'll get free things from them. Go to the temple and beat
everyone up.
Find the man who will guide you to the Shaolin Shrine.
It seems that you're too late, since the seals have all been opened
and Han Lao Tai has the power of the Demon! This means BIG TROUBLE FOR
YOU!
By this time you need a level 30 atleast.
Talk twice to the guy just east of you. Beat him, eat, then sleep.
Enter the shrine then talk to the people there.
Follow the left path and enter the door for the Shaolin Test!
Every corner has the wooden people so beat them up. In the final
room, stand in front of the horse statue and start mashing on your
controller to turn the statue around.
You'll be returned outside the door. Go to the man you have defeated
and refill your life and sleep. Talk to the hermit in the shrine twice.
You may want to enter the door to your right. It's the Test of the
100 Sentries. Beat them all and you get the Ultimate Technique.
Talk to the hermit. He'll tell you where Han Lao Tai is. Talk to the
old man that you've beaten and he'll teach you how to go to the Black
Lotus Temple. Don't forget to save.
Upon arriving the at the temple, you'll be attacked by the students
there. Beat them all up. The next enemy is the one who has beaten you
up when you were just starting your journey. Make her pay big time.
Beat her up until she can't talk.
Han Lao Tai is next, you should have lots of health since you're going
to die a lot. Beat him the first time but be careful of all his
counters.
After defeating Han Lao Tai, you find out that he is the one who has
been possessed by the DEMON! The Demon rips out of Han Lao Tai's body.
The Demon is just like Han Lao Tai, except that he's uglier and looks
more bony. Defeat him and you have just saved the world!

3. Tai Chi Chuan - Taiyuan City
You learn that Han Lao Tai killed your parents.
Roam around the city until you have enough levels to beat the entire
Tai Chi Chuan temple.
Go to the next city and beat everyone up again.
Head south and head to the other cities. The master isn't in yet, as
they say.
Beat all the temples then head back to Shanghai City. You'll learn
that your foster grandpa just got killed by Han Lao Tai! OH NO!!!
Go to the inn and talk to the man. The guy will tell you more about
your grandpa. There are rumors spreading that your grandpa actually
killed your parents. Oh what a dillema!
Beat the Jeet Kune Do master then head back up north to your city.
The people will tell you that your grandpa was a bad guy but some of
them don't believe it. Head to the next city.
Be sure that you have beaten every school. You'll need to find the
guide in Taiyuan city.
By the time you reach Shaolin Shrine, you should have atleast level
30. Talk to the guy just to your right twice. Beat him up. Head into
the shrine then talk to the two guys. Enter the door to your left, just
follow the left path. Beat the Shaolin Test. Next, talk to the hermit
in the shrine. Beat the 100 Sentries inside the door to your right.
Talk to the hermit again and he'll point you out to the Black Lotus
Temple. He also tells you that you are actually Han Lao Tai's SON!!!
It seems that when Han's wife got pregnant, she didn't want it so you
were being treated as if you were not there. Han's right hand man took
you and you both escaped from Han, but the mom tried to kill the both of
you so in defense, the man killed the woman. The man was the one who
raised you up...your grandpa!
Talk to the man on the south-eastern part of the shrine. Choose Leave
and you'll head out for the Black Lotus Temple.
Defeat the guards then proceed to beat up the Tin Man. Actually, its
only real weapon is its ability to take a transparent form, although
it's still pretty obvious where he is. He has a LONG LIFE so you may
want to stick to a strategy that is a sure hit.
The final opponent is Han Lao Tai! You will be presented with some
choices. If you choose to join him, it will show that you both spread
terror in the world and it will be Game Over. Choose not to join. Beat
him. No problem!

4. Eight Extremities Fist - Cangzhou City
The times are tough. You start out as a wandering stranger who thinks
that everything can be taken by force.
Walk around town until you find two kids. Beat them up. Remember,
you are the bad guy here, so don't hesitate to steal and kill. Walk
around until you gain some 5 level-ups then head. Go to the inn. If
there's nobody inside, you can save your game. After doing that, an old
man will show up. You can either beat him up or run away. I suggest
you beat him up to earn some experience points.
Head north and you will find a man who will sign you up for the
TOURNAMENT, a punishment for harrassing the town. Beat up all of them
and become the champion. Your next destination is the temple. Beat
everyone in there, then you may leave the city.
You may visit the city just next to yours, or you may proceed to
Shanghai. I suggest you go to Taiyuan City first, since it is closer to
your city.
You will see people just standing still. What's a thief to do?
Steal! Approach every person, enter every house, then STEAL STEAL
STEAL!
After harrassing each one in the city, head for the shrine and beat
everybody. Beware! You will face 10 opponents at once! After beating
them, you will fight the master. Beat the master then proceed to
Shanghai City.
In Shanghai City, harrass people as usual then head for the temple.
Beat everybody up. The master will have someone with him to fight you,
so take care. After that, you may head for Changsha City.
Harrass people again then head for the temple. Beat everyone up, then
head for Fuzhou City.
Harrass people again. Here, you may find a person who will ask you if
you want to try fighting in the Hall Of Darkness. This is a good place
to earn levels and LOTS of money! If you beat everyone, your current
money will be worth three times more!
After harrassing people, head for the temple then beat everyone in
there. Next destination is Guangzhou City.
Harrass all of the people there and head for the temple. Beat
everyone up. You will now be ready to go to the Shaolin Shrine!!!
Head for Shanghai City, then go to the captain. Beat him up to have a
free trip to the north. Go to Taiyuan City then look for the guy in
blue. Beat him up and he will show you the way to Shaolin Shrine.
Head to the right then talk to the old guy twice. You will fight.
After beating him, proceed to the shrine. Be very offending in your
choice of language. Don't train. Call for the mentor. Beat the two
students then talk to the mentor. He will ask you if you will continue
to be the way that you are. Answer him that you will not change. Beat
him up to earn the Ultimate Technique.
Head for the Black Lotus Temple, beat up the guards. Beat up the big
muscle bound guy. Beat up Han Lao Tai. You have just seized control of
the gang!

5. Hung Gar - Fuzhou City
You start out as a young man who is looking for the most beautiful
girl in china. Just beat all the other temples. In the end, you'll
find out that the most beautiful girl is actually Han Lao Tai's
daughter....but then there are three of them! So what you do is beat
the three of them, then you get to choose who you want!
Whatever option you choose won't affect the game in anyway, so don't
bother.

6. Drunken Boxing - Changsha City
Han Lao Tai is searching for immortality. You must stop this or the
world will be in total chaos!
You start out in Changsha City, home of the Drunken Boxing style.
Roam around town and talk to everyone, and beat the bandits if you can.
After gaining a few levels, go to the inn and sleep.
Go out and go north. You will find two bullies. Beat them up and
FORGIVE them. Go to the shrine and the student will be impressed. He
will then schedule you tomorrow for a match. Go back to the inn and
rest.
After you wake up, go to the temple then beat up all the students,
then finally, the master. You will learn that you somehow possess a
special power within you. You will go and journey to the far reaches
of…China.
Head for Fuzhou City, home of the Hung Gar style. There is a Hall Of
Darkness gamble happening, so you might want to check it out for level-
ups and fund raising. After that, beat everybody at the temple.
Go to Guangzhou City, the place of the Shaolin people. Beat everybody
up and your next destination is Shanghai.
Go to Shanghai and you will learn that there are two bandits roaming
around town. Find them (you may need to use an inn first), beat them,
then head for the temple, where you will fight the students. Beat
everyone up, including the master. You will now have a free boat ride
to Cuangzhou City.
Head north, then talk to the man to get into the tournament. Beat
everyone up. Direct yourself to the temple, beat everyone up.
Head for Taiyuan City. Beat everyone up as usual then you'll find a
man waiting for you who will direct you to the Shaolin Shrine.
At the Shrine, head east of your starting point. Talk to the old man
twice and beat him up. Head inside the Shrine and talk to the two
people. You will need to go inside through the left door.
Finish the test of the wooden people and save your game. Head into
the Shrine again and beat up the master. You will learn that you are
the Heavenly Guardian, the one who defends Heaven from people with evil
hearts like Han Lao Tai. You will be given two options, choose FIGHT.
Head for the Black Lotus Temple and beat up everyone, including Han
Lao Tai. The End.

1. How to quickly level-up
Grand Master Jay says:
In Cangzhou City, the Restaurant there has an overly optimistic chef
who will fight you anytime. If you beat him, he'll give you free food,
of course, you also gain levels that way! Do this as long as you need
to level up.
2. How to beat multiple enemies
Grand Master Jay says:
When the fight starts, the enemies will usually rush towards you. You
should use this to your advantage, especially when you have a combo
attack. When they're within reach, perform your combo! You'll have the
first advantage there!
If you're still starting and you are faced with impossible odds, what
you should do is do the jump-away technique, especially if you're being
surrounded. It is most important that you are not surrounded because if
you are, attacks will come from all sides and it will be hard to defend
against. Just away from the enemy then wait for them to rush towards
you. When they're within reach, hit them, then jump away. Just repeat
until they're all dead.
Another way to deal with them, which is also more fun to watch is to
use the betrayal technique. Jump over them and run furthest from them.
In time they will be hitting each other accidentally. If one of them
hits someone, the other gets back at him in revenge!
3. How to get free items
Grand Master Jay says:
Getting free items can be done by helping people out when you see them
in terrible situations. You can also try impressing them by winning
tournaments or beating them when they challenge you. They usually give
out money or advice.
4. How to win one on one battles
Grand Master Jay says:
One on one battles are by far the easiest battles you'll ever wish

When the enemy just stood up, hit him with a combo that will bring him
down. Repeat the process until he's out of consciousness.
5. How to beat the Shaolin style
Grand Master Jay says:
The Shaolin Style is very well balanced. It has a package of punches
and kicks for you. You will want to stay out of the punch and kick
combos since they usually come out with 5 to 6 hits.
When you see someone starting the spin kick, move away or block high,
then low, then high. Attack afterwards since they'll be open.
The punch techniques can be just be blocked also, but it has a fast
recovery time so watch out, you might get hit with a surprise hit, which
can lead into a barrage of punches again.
Also watch out for the sweep kicks.
When dealing with the Ultimate Technique, better side-step out of the
way since it seems to be unblockable.
6. How to beat the Jeet Kun Do style
Grand Master Jay says:
Jeet Kune Do focuses mostly on rapid kicks, then a few uppercuts.
When someone begins to punch, begin to block since they're usually
going to follow it up with an uppercut.
Do not be tempted to rush towards a Jeet Kune Do student since he may
easily kick you out of the road with a vertical spinning kick.
The Ultimate Tehchnique is a barrage of Muay Thai kicks which gives
you a lot of pain.
Attack only when you are sure that he is open since Jeet Kune Do
students are usually fast on the feet.
7. How to beat the Tai Chi Chuan style
Grand Master Jay says:
Tai Chi focuses on using your Chi, or spirit power. The attacks are
not thrown out heavily, but when they hit, the power is immense!
Beware of low hitting attacks since they usually are followed up with
punches that end up with a Chi push, which will really blow you away.
Don't continue your attack if you see that they have blocked already
the first attack since there is a big chance that you'll get countered
with some kind of chi attack. Even flying kicks can be countered!
Tai Chi is truly a powerful style.
8. How to beat the Hung Gar style
Grand Master Jay says:
Hung Gar is an art of many styles. It imitates animals, even dragons,
and uses their movements for attacks.
This style often has a blend of fast AND powerful attacks, so beware
especially if the opponent has changed his stance.
You should be careful about blocking since different styles mean
different blocking techniques to use.
Hit them after a combo that they missed.
9. How to beat the Eight Extremities Fist style
Grand Master Jay says:
Eight Extremities Fist style, as the name suggests, focuses on rapid,
strong punches.
You can just move out of the way and forget about their kicks since
the primary weapons are the arms and fists for students of this style.
Also beware of their long range attack! Don't get caught off guard
even when you're far away since they can reach you with that attack.
Attack quickly and take advantage of missed combos.
10. How to beat the Drunken Boxing style
Grand Master Jay says:
The Drunken Boxing style uses a technique of teasing. They will want
you to rush in, and by doing so, they can easily play fool since you
will be surprised that they can attack you in the weirdest position!
You should always block when fighting someone using this style since
their attacks are hard to read.
Also beware when they're just sitting. It's also an attack.
11. What happens when you complete a story
Grand Master Jay says:
When you complete a story, you will be awarded with characters found
within that story. You will be able to use them in Versus Mode.
12. What happens when you complete ALL the stories
Grand Master Jay says:
When you have successfully mastered all of the stories, you will be
awarded the Time Attack in the main menu. It will put you through the
test in the Shaolin Shrine with the wooden men and the horse statue.
You will then be able to break your record or a friend's.
Also, when you complete ALL of the stories, the main bad guys will be
selectable.
