The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek FAQ/Walkthrough v1.0
By Meweight

Version History:

v0.91 (September 9, 2004) - With a little help, I was able to get Him's
Belt and get through Heck.

v0.9 (November 7, 2003) - This is a game that was on the Request List,
so I decided to write an FAQ for it, since it didn't have a full one,
just a small FAQ. Next version should have the ending to the game on
it.

The Powerpuff Girls: Him and Seek is one of the many Powerpuff Girls
games made by BAM, and probably the best one I've played (of course,
I've only played this and Mojo-A-Gogo, but from what I've heard, this
is the best they've done). You are on a scavenger hunt assigned by Ms.
Keane, while at the same time, beating up bad guys. This is my first-
ever platform game FAQ with an actual walkthrough, so if I mess up,
don't blame me, blame my brain. Anyway, here's the walkthrough.

( WALKTHROUGH )

X-------X
BEGINNING
X-------X

Okay, you'll start out with the intro and then Ms. Keane will tell you
how to look at the Scavenger Hunt List. The three of you will split up.
I suggest starting with Buttercup. Her level is pretty fun and pretty
easy. (Blossom's is a little bit harder and Bubbles's can get
annoying.)

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

This is Buttercup's level. Move right and you will see The Mayor. He'll
tell you that his "Priceless Porcelain Poodle" is inside the museum,
which is currently being robbed. Enter the museum. The first guard will
tell you that crooks are stealing the gems. You need to collect all the
gems in order to get through the level.

Head up the stairs (after picking up the chair if you prefer) and knock
out the first criminal who will be carrying a gem. Move on and go down
the stairs. Beat up the criminals and gain two gems. Move a little bit
further and pick up the health if you need it. Then move on to the next
criminals and beat them up for more health. Move forward and talk to
the guard. He'll tell you that he wants pictures for the museum.

Keep going down the stairs and beat up the criminals. Then go up the
elevator. Go forward and beat up the criminals for a gem. Go up the
next elevator. Go backwards (away from the stairs) and pick up two
gems. Then, go the opposite way towards the stairs (don't fly down just
yet). Beat up the criminals and get the gem and the poodle. Now go back
all the way left to the spiral stairs and fly downward.

Beat up the criminals for a gem. Don't forget the health inside the
dinosaur skeleton's mouth. Then go forward and beat up more criminals
for another gem. Don't use the elevator. Go back to the spiral stairs
and go down the normal stairs. Beat up the criminal for the final gem.

Then, go back to the elevator and go down. Follow the exit and talk to
the first guard you saw when you entered next to the talking dog. He
will reward you with a Plush Dinosaur. Leave the museum and talk to the
Mayor. He will give you the Pickle if you nabbed his Poodle earlier.
After doing this, you will be able to choose the next level.

X--------X
POKEY OAKS
X--------X

This is Blossom's level. Enter the Pokey Oaks Kindergarten (since when
did kindergarten become a seperate school?). Ms. Keane will tell you
the Gangreen Gang has stolen all the toys. Similar to the Downtown
level, you will need to collect 10 toys. The girl inside says she's
lost her notebook. Ignore her, and move forward. Before you leave
through the door, pick up a toy that's mostly hidden behind the table
furthest to the right. Then go outside.

The first member of the Gangreen Gang you will face is Big Billy. He's
pretty easy to beat up. Just stay towards his stomach and his
dodgeballs won't hit you. When you finish beating the lard out of him,
you'll get a toy. Fly upward and take the toy from the top of the slide
if you haven't done so already. Move a little forward and you'll see
Elmer Sglue and Snake. Ignore Elmer and fight Snake, who's also pretty
easy, but his dodgeballs are less easy to dodge. Again, stay close to
his stomach and you'll get a toy in reward for beating him up.

Fly upward and take the toy from the top of the tree that's to the left
of Elmer. Move a little bit further and beat up Little Arturo. If you
just keep throwing punches at him, he won't even attack and you'll get
the toy he has with ease. He's probably the easiest member of the
Gangreen Gang to defeat. Grab the toy from the basketball hoop. Ignore
Mitch Mitchelson, you don't need to talk to him now.

Move a little bit further and you'll fight Ace. He's a little harder
than Snake, but just punch him as fast as possible and then you'll
defeat him with ease and get a toy. Pick up the toy that's next to the
nearby tree and fly forward. You will eventually reach Grubber, the
hardest and final of the Gangreen Gang. Just stay close to him, make
sure he can't spit his goo at you. Beat him up and get the final toy.

Fly back to Pokey Oaks and talk to Ms. Keane. She'll give you the chalk
as a reward for beating up the Gangreen Gang and returning the toys to
the children. Go outside and Princess will be waiting for you. Just get
close to her, beat her up, and then she'll move away eventually and
fire at you. Dodge the beam and then beat her up more. Repeat this
until she's done for. Once you beat her up, you'll get Princess's
Tiara, which is one of the items on the list. You're now done with the
level.

X-X
ZOO
X-X

This is Bubbles's level. As you move forward, the zookeeper will tell
you that Fuzzy Lumpkins let all the animals loose. Go a little bit
forward and enter the bear gate.

Now, this is pretty easy. Find all three bears, pick them up without
getting hit, and then put them into their pen. Then move to the right
and you'll find the elephant gate. Do the same. Move to the right to
get to the lion gate and do the same. Head back to the bear gate, then
move even further left to the meerkat gate. Do the same as you did in
the bear, lion, and elephant gates. Move left and do the same to the
goats in the goat gate. When done, move a little bit left to the exit
and leave the goat gate.

Go all the way left until you find the zookeeper you first met. Talk to
him again and he'll reward you with the Stuffed Animal. Then you'll go
to Fuzzy's 'property'. Fuzzy will be mad and then you'll get into a
fight with him.

Watch out for his rage attacks when he gets angry and claws at you when
you're near him, but to a further extent, watch out for the rocks he
throws at you when you're away from him. Stay close most of the time
(unless you can avoid when he freaks out) and just beat on him until
he's finished. After beating him up, take Fuzzy's Banjo.

X----------X
NEIGHBORHOOD
X----------X

The Powerpuff Girls will join together and you'll learn how to switch
girls. (I like playing as Buttercup, but there's usually not much of a
difference that I know of.)

You'll start out in front of Pokey Oaks. Go backwards a little bit for
an Acorn, but then just move to the right. Beat up the criminals for
power-ups and just because they're annoying. Then head right into the
park.

X--X
PARK
X--X

You will see some lady complain about her boyfriend and then you will
see a squirrel. Switch to Bubbles and talk to him. It won't work with
the other girls. He'll tell you that he's collecting acorns for the
winter and he needs you to help him find them. Talk to the Granny up
ahead and she'll tell you her cat is stuck in the tree again. Fly up to
the tree above the squirrel and pick it up. Throw it down near the
Granny and talk to her. She'll give you a notebook. Now, head back left
to Pokey Oaks.

X--------X
POKEY OAKS
X--------X

Beat up the criminals in the neighborhood and enter Pokey Oaks. Talk to
the girl nearby Ms. Keane. She'll give you a picture she drew. Save
that for later and head outside and left until you reach Professor
Utonium and the Powerpuff Girls' House.

X-------X
THE HOUSE
X-------X

Ignore Professor Utonium and move to the window sill next to him. You
will get the houseplant. That's really the only use for being in your
house right now so leave and move left until you see Harry's Mom.
She'll give you his lunch. Move right and return to Pokey Oaks.

X--------X
POKEY OAKS
X--------X

Enter Pokey Oaks once again and go all the way right until you reach
the playground. Move a little bit past Elmer and you'll see Harry next
to some monkey bars. Talk to him, he'll take his lunch, and give you an
apple. Leave Pokey Oaks and head back through the park and to
Townsville Hall.

X-------------X
TOWNSVILLE HALL
X-------------X

While moving back through the neighborhood, remember to fly up high and
get an acorn off of the rooftops. Get to the downtownish are and enter
Townsville Hall. The Mayor will tell you that he left his speech back
at the pickle stand and it's all up to you to get it. You can now leave
Townsville Hall and enter the subway.

X----X
SUBWAY
X----X

The Gangreen Gang is back in the subway! Beat up Ace, then Grubber,
then Little Arturo (who can be taken out in about two hits), then
Snake, and then Big Billy. After beating up Big Billy, you will be
rewarded with the tooth. They're all a little bit harder since the last
time you fought them, but still not that big of a deal. Leave on the
other end of the subway.

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

You COULD enter the zoo now after moving left, but there's really no
point right now. Keep moving left and pick up an acorn. This brings
your acorn count up to three. If you fly far upward, you will notice
the Multi-Eye Monster in the air. He's a piece of cake. Keep moving
right while high in the air and pick up a kite.

Land and beat up the Power Plant Monster. Move left and pick up the
acorn. Move left until you get to the other part of the Downtown and
beat up the Sludge Monster. Fly slightly upward for an acorn and land
to get the Mayor's Speech.

X----X
MUSEUM
X----X

Now, enter the museum and fly all the way right until you see a second
guard. He's the one who wanted pictures. Give the drawing you got from
the little girl who lost her notebook to the guard. He will give you a
lost wallet. Now, leave the museum.

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

Move slightly to the left and talk to the tall guy with the hat.
Apparently, it's his wallet. He'll reward you for finding his wallet by
giving you the newspaper, an item on your list. You could enter the
Arcade, but I'd save that for later. Skip Tokyo Townsville for now too
and just keep moving left.

Fly upward in front of the bowling alley for an acorn and then fly left
and land when you see the American flag. Then, enter Townsville Hall
(or the Mayor's Office if you prefer).

X-------------X
TOWNSVILLE HALL
X-------------X

Move left again and the Mayor will thank you for finding his speech. He
will then reward you by giving you the key to the city (what the key
would ever go into, I have no idea). No matter, it's an item on your
list. Now you can fly out of the hall.

X--------------X
TOKYO TOWNSVILLE
X--------------X

Fly right until you reach Tokyo Townsville. Grab the acorn next to the
pond and the Japanese boy. Move all the way to the right and pick up
ANOTHER acorn. If you go to the left and fly really low, you'll find
the four-leaf clover, one of your items. Only two more acorns to go and
only fourteen more items to go! Go far right and leave out that exit
(not the left one). Move to the left and a man will tell you that
monsters are attacking Tokyo Townsville.

Beat up the TONS of monsters by moving left. Fly up to the roof of the
hotel and pick up the acorn. Only one more to go. Now move to the right
and beat up more monsters. Once you beat up all the monsters, talk to
the Japanese man in front of Bonsai Gardens. He will give you the
chopsticks as a reward.

Go back into Bonsai Gardens and you will be 'greeted' by the Balloon
Fish Monster. This guy is pretty hard unless you figure out how to beat
him (you'll probably lose one of the girls in the process). Punch him
in the eyes to do damage to him. When all of his eyes are X's, he will
shrink and you will have defeated him.

After you beat him, move a little to the left and pick up the lantern.
When you leave the area, it will suddenly be nighttime. Buttercup will
make a comment about the obvious nighttime. Guess who's back? That's
right, it's the Boogie Man!

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

How stupid, how could someone try the same plan again? Of course, maybe
they learned their villain skills from Mojo Jojo. Erm...never mind.
Anyway, fly to the right and beat up the monsters. After it says "Area
Clear", move left and beat up all the monsters there.

After beating up the last monster, you will find the password to get
into the Disco Club. Talk to the short monster outside of the Disco
Club to enter. Instead of fighting the Boogie Man, you have to...listen
to this...DANCE for him by pressing the buttons he calls out, but only
when they're in the circle. Get mostly Perfects and he'll give up
(wuss). You'll get the dancing shoes.

X--X
JAIL
X--X

The girls will mention Mojo and how you need to go to jail to get his
cape. Go far right and enter the jail. The policeman will tell you that
the inmates have escaped and some of the other cops have been tied up.
Move left. Enter Jail Cell Q to untie one policeman.

Then move left and enter Jail Cell M for another one. Then go even
further left and untie the next cop. Then fly up to the next floor.
Jail Cell H has another tied up cop in it. Move further right and
you'll end up coming out of Jail Cell I.

Move right and enter Jail Cell K for another tied up policeman. Fly up
to an even higher floor now and start moving left. Jail Cell D has yet
another tied up cop. Move left and end up coming out of Jail Cell C. Go
into Jail Cell B for another cop.

Go to Jail Cell A for two more cops. Head a little bit to the left and
untie the last cop. Go back down to the first floor and talk to the
first cop you met. He'll give you the harmonica. Notice how you still
haven't found Mojo yet.

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

Leave the jail and you'll find out Mojo has escaped (surprise,
surprise). And, now for another twist, you PLAY as Mojo! And to make it
even MORE twisted, it's a Frogger clone and the hardest mini-game so
far! Don't run into the cars and move across the street. Ride the boats
across and then watch out for the PPG.

You will then reach a checkpoint. Now, you REALLY need to watch out for
the PPG. Get to the sea and watch out for those annoying submarines
that sink sometimes. If you can manage to get through it, then you'll
be at another checkpoint...and another sea. (-_-)

Luckily, this sea is MUCH shorter than the last one. Watch out for the
Powerpuffs again. After getting through them, you're back to another
street. Get through it, and, hey, guess what, more PPG! After them,
you'll FINALLY make it to your lab.

X--X
PARK
X--X

Now, you're back as the Powerpuff Girls again. Move back to the park.
If you've ever watched Powerpuff Girls, you should know that Mojo's
Observatory is in the park. However, you will need to move back through
the neighborhood to get to another section of the park. Just go really
far left, past Harry's mother.

The last acorn is behind Mojo's Observatory. Even further behind it is
the boyfriend of the girl in the other park, who is looking for his
girlfriend. How ironic.

X---------X
OBSERVATORY
X---------X

Anyway, fly up to the observatory and destroy the machines. If you go
further, you'll find a boomerang that a kid lost. Now, enter Mojo's
Observatory. Beat up the machines and watch out for lasers. After you
fight a group of three machines (by going right and then down), you'll
find an Orange Passkey.

Fly up and around to find the Orange Door and enter it. You'll find the
Green Passkey inside. Where the lasers were, head up instead of down.
Beat up the machines and enter the Green Door. Move left and up. Then
go left and down and right and pick up the Blue Passkey.

Go back to the Green Door that is closest to you. Go inside for some
sort of potion and leave. Go right and through the Blue Door. Beat up
more machines, move right, and then up. Pick up the Yellow Passkey and
then move up. Then go right and pick up the baseball, one of your
scavenger hunt items.

Then go through the Yellow Door and move up. Keep going right and
defeating machines and then go through the Blue Door. Go up for the
Purple Passkey. Move down for more machine fighting. Then leave through
the Blue Door. Go left and then up and through the Purple Door.

You'll finally meet Mojo Jojo! He'll get into a robot. Hit its arms
until they are destroyed. Then do the same to his body. Then beat up
Mojo himself (who is much easier than the robot). You will probably
lose at least one girl while fighting Mojo, but it's no big deal.

After you defeat him, you'll get Mojo's Cape. Fly down from the
Observatory.

X--X
PARK
X--X

Once you're back at the bottom, talk to the boy next to the Observatory
and give him his boomerang. He gives you a football card in return.
Head back through the neighborhood until you reach Pokey Oaks.

X--------X
POKEY OAKS
X--------X

Talk to Ms. Keane and give her the apple. She will give you some
crayons, which you will be needing later. Head outside and talk to
Mitch. Trade the football card you have for his baseball card, which is
on the list. Head back to the neighborhood and move right into the park
(make sure you have Bubbles!).

X--X
PARK
X--X

Move right and switch to Bubbles if you haven't done so already. Talk
to the squirrel. He'll give you the shiny bottlecap, an item on your
list, for the ten acorns you gathered earlier. Only six more items to
collect and you're done.

X------X
DOWNTOWN
X------X

Move to the right and keep going until you see a red flash-like thing
in the street. Touch it and you'll end up in what I like to call
'Heck'.

X--X
HECK
X--X

Welcome to Heck. You're always moving, so you must dodge the flying
fiery rocks and other stuff. Run into the next red flash to restart the
whole thing if you move up at a certain crossroad. However, if you move
down, you will go to a different place when you run into the red flash.

On the second part, you will want to go to the top one instead of the
bottom one when at the final crossroad. On the third one, move upward
and follow the hearts to get the rubber duckie. After you get the
rubber duckie, you want to go north, but not so far north that you
reach the very top. If you see a spiked ceiling (with golden spikes)
you're going in the right direction. Go north when the spikes stop and
you should find the exit.

Now you will fight Him, to get his belt. At first he is easy, and then
he's still easy. In his first form, every other time you attack him (I
prefer to use the laser vision), he will attack you with a laser. So
after you attack him, go to the bottom of the screen, and THEN go back
up to attack him. In his second form (his face), just stay towards the
bottom of the screen to dodge the rocks and then attack Him with the
laser. Just keep switching girls to save energy. He will give you his
belt.

X--------X
POKEY OAKS
X--------X

Back to Pokey Oaks. Talk to Ms. Keane and tell her that you have found
your items. HOWEVER, there are still more items to get, and you will
only get second place (you can keep playing to get the other items
though). In my next update to this FAQ, I will include these extra
items.
