Reiji is definitely linked to the Kagura family; his fighting style is
very similar to Chizuru's in that it involves duplicates making attacks,
and also his winposes and game art feature a small girl bearing a
startling resemblance to Chizuru, down to the outfit. It is unclear
whether Reiji is supposed to be Chizuru's husband, cousin or whatever,
but since his name is not Kagura he cannot be her brother....and as he
flirts with Jun it's kinda unlikely that he's married into the Kagura
family. I have read that he is a 'representative of the Kagura family'
(this reminds me of Juzoh from the Last Blade series, he lived with the
Ichijou family but wasn't a relative) and he must be highly regarded to
be trusted with the mission to see what has interfered with the Orochi
seal. Unfortunately, unless Reiji appears in another KOF title, we are
unlikely to ever find out anything more, which is a pity.
Hero Team story: Moe Habana, Kyo Kusanagi, Reiji Oogami
Reiji Oogami shows up with a King of Fighters invitation at the home of
Kyo Kusanagi, who is living in America. Reiji, as a representative for
Chizuru Kagura, has come to ask Kyo to join him as his teammate in the
championship competition so that they can investigate the waves of mystery
that are interfering with the "Orochi" seal. Moe Habana, who herself has
been disclosed as a member of the Juu-Shu Shinpou, has also decided to
join Kyo and Reiji in the competition. These Sanshu No Jingi and Juu-Shu
Shinpou alight on the stage of battle so that they can put a stop to the
troubles surrounding the "Orochi".
Thug: Here's an image of the current champion candidates.
?: ...
Thug: Shall we think of another way?
?: We could, or we... Make it a priority.
Thug: We hear you loud and clear.
Before Final Round
Kyo: !!!
Iori: If it isn't Kyo...
Kyo: I thought I smelled some Yagami...
Reiji: I'm more interested in you babe than that red head but...
Jun: Wipe that smile off your face. I could care less about the likes
of you.
Moe: No way...... Are you part of the ten sacred treasures too?
Miu: ............
Iori: Shut up and stay out of this. ......I'll bust you up, Kyo.
Kyo: That I'd like to see little man!
After Final Round
Kyo: Sorry, but I don't have time to mess around with you. Later!
Iori: Cool...
Miu: W-wait!
Reiji: I know how you feel babe, but you'd better leave what's ahead
to me.
Before First Boss fight
Moe: Are we in the finals?
Reiji: I wonder what kind of an opponent it will be...
Kyo: There's your answer dude.
?: My congrats on reaching the finals.
Moe: Are you the promoter?
?: The name's Gustav Munchausen. ......Let's take some time and get
acquainted, shall we?
Kyo: Right... Those are big words for an Orochi.
?: And what of your insight into my true identity and plans with the
ten sacred treasures?
Reiji: You're a dead giveaway.
Moe: I don't know an Orochi from a cockroach, but all the same! Prepare
for a fight!
?: Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not your opponent.
Reiji: What? Now what could that be?
Kyo: That wind... That's Goenitz's wind. It can't be!?
Reiji: No, it's not Goenitz... It's... Sinobu Amou... He's like us, one
of the ten sacred treasures.
Moe: Is that kid the same as me?
?: He's a bit different. And he's not on your side.
Kyo: What the?
?: This boy is one of the Orochi's four kings. That powerful wind is to
revive Goenitz via this spirit channeling.
Reiji: I knew it!
Moe: You knew what?
Reiji: Three of the Orochi's four kings, Yashiro, Shermie and Chris were
sealed by the Orochis with the three sacred treasures. But only
Goenitz, who was defeated first, escaped the seal. And Gustav
started to secretly reincarnate him.
?: Exactly. It was I who implanted Goenitz's thoughts into this boy during
the reincarnation. Goenitz will soon eat away his heart and gain his
flesh to resurrect into the new four heavenly kings.
Sinobu: No he won't.
?: What?
Sinobu: I'm here at my own free will... I don't care about the Orochis.
Moe: H-hold on you. Simmer down!
Sinobu: Stupid adults... Stupid everything.. The ten and three sacred
treasures ...I'll destroy them all!
Reiji: Goenitz's thoughts are whittling down and destroying Sinobu's
mind. Goenitz is a nuisance.
Kyo: He's out of control! If it ain't one guy, it's the next!
Before Second Boss fight
Sinobu: Ah... my head... Stop it! Get out! Get away from me! Ahhhhhh!
Hero Team ending (Kyo, Moe, Reiji):
Sinobu: Oh no...
Kyo: Look out...
Moe: L-let's get out of here!
Reiji: You two go ahead. I'll escort Sinobu out of here.
Kyo: Escort him? Are you serious?!
Reiji: I promised Chizuru. ...Besides, if things go well, it might stop
Goenitz once and for all, right?
Moe: Call it dedicated to your work or call it crazy...
Kyo: Darn it... I can't hang with you!
Reiji: Well thanks for all your help everyone. You saved me.
Kyo: I couldn't just stand there and let you die. I wouldn't be able to
sleep at night.
Moe: But I wonder if he'll be alright.
Reiji: It'll take time but I'm sure he'll get better. If not, then
there's no apologizing to that girl Miu... right?
Kyo: How the hell should I know? I've had it up to here with the ten
sacred treasures! ......I've got better things to do with my time
you know. You do whatever you want, see if I care.
Special Team ending (Kyo, Iori, Reiji):
???: My congrats on reaching my finals. The name's Gustav Munchausen.
Let's take some time and get acquainted, shall we? I regret to inform
you that I'm not your opponent. Well then, go to it lad.
Sinobu: Don't order me around.
???: What? Didn't you hear me?
Sinobu: I'm... call me by my name! Say it!

using the 2-button option, Refer to Wasabi X's FAQ on this game, which

Strong Punch = A
Weak Punch = B
Strong Kick = R
Weak Kick = L
Small Jump = press up briefly
Medium Jump = press and hold down, press left-up or right-up
Large Jump = press and hold down, hold left-up or right-up
Backhop = press back twice
Evade = press B and R, back or forward
Throw = near enemy plus A or R
Release from throw = just press any of the attack buttons during a throw
Rollaway = press B and R before hitting ground after being knocked/thrown
Call Striker = press L and B to call on the next person in line (face and
name shown at the bottom of the screen) to perform an attack
'A' Throw = Reiji forces the opponent to the floor, stamps on them and
punches their head
'R' Throw = Reiji throws the opponent past him using his leg
Strong Punch = Reiji performs an uppercut and a straight (2 hits)
Strong Punch (close) = Reiji thrusts his fist upwards into the opponent's
face
Crouch Strong Punch = Reiji thrusts his fist upwards into the opponent's
abdomen
Jump Strong Punch = Reiji punches straight into the opponent's face
Weak Punch = Reiji performs a strange angled punch at the opponent's head
Weak Punch (close) = Reiji performs the same punch as above
Crouch Weak Punch = Reiji punches at the opponent's groin
Jump Weak Punch = Reiji hits with his elbow as he descends
Forward Weak Punch = Reiji smashes his fist down in an overhead punch
Strong Kick = Reiji performs a sidekick to the opponent's stomach
Strong Kick (close) = Reiji performs an split kick that hits on the way up
Crouch Strong Kick = Reiji performs a baseball-style slide which trips
the opponent
Jump Strong Kick = Reiji swings both legs out to hit at the opponent
Weak Kick = Reiji kicks at the opponent's head
Weak Kick (close) = Reiji performs the same kick as above
Crouch Weak Kick = Reiji kicks lightly at the opponent's shins
Jump Weak Kick = Reiji kicks at the opponent's head
Forward Weak Kick = Reiji thrusts his leg into the opponent's stomach
Weak Punch and Weak Kick = Reiji springs up and thrusts his leg into the
opponent's stomach
These are the original movenames from the Japanese version of EX2:
Howling Blood. Included is a literal translation of the Japanese as well
as the romaji. These are just what I consider to be the best-sounding
translations, there are other combinations, but these are accurate in meaning.
Gekirouken = Violent Wolf Fist
Tsuiga = Pursuit Fang
Gekirouken (Maboroshi) = Violent Wolf Fist (Illusion)
Jinrougeki = Virtuous Wolf Attack
Jinrougeki (Maboroshi) = Virtuous Wolf Attack (Illusion)
Rougashippuken = Wolf Fang Hurricane Fist
