1. Version History
===================
Version 1.15, February 25, 2005: Submitted the first version of this FAQ. The
walkthrough is all done, but I only have the first World done in the first
World (6 Yoshi Eggs) in the Yoshi Challenge, and I don't have all the
unlockables and secrets listed yet, but other than that, everything else is all
set.
Version 1.20, February 27, 2005: Finished World 2-1 for the Yoshi Challenge in
my Walkthrough, so now 8 out of 40 eggs are covered. I may not update a lot
over the next few days because I don't have a lot of time on me and my room is
being redone.
Version 1.35, February 28, 2005: Finished the rest of World 2 and did the first
level of World 3 in my Yoshi Challenge guide for finding the eggs. Got more
work done than I wanted to.
Version 1.45, March 1, 2005: Finished World 3 in my Yoshi Challenge so now I
have 18 out of 40 eggs covered.
Version 1.60, March 2, 2005: Started and finished World 4 in my Yoshi Challenge
Walkthrough. I now have 24 out of 40 eggs covered.
Version 1.70, March 5, 2005: Started World 5 in my Yoshi Challenge Walkthrough.
I did the first 2 levels. Now I have 28 out of 40 eggs covered. I also added
another secret in my secrets section.
Version 1.75, March 8, 2005: Finished World 5 in my Yoshi Challenge
Walkthrough. I also completely re-did my Unlockables and Secrets section, so
that they are divided by Warp Zones, Unlockables, Secrets, etc. I also put it
level shortcuts I found throughout the game.
Version 1.90, March 12, 2005: Finished all of World 6 in my Yoshi Challenge
Walkthrough, so now I only need 4 more eggs to go. I also added two more
secrets in my secrets section (easy way to beat Tryclyde and Warp Zone).
Version 2.00, March 13, 2005: Finished the rest of my Yoshi Challenge guide.
Yay! Now to add an SNES/GBA changes section next. I was just too lazy to upload
this.
Version 2.40, March 16, 2005: Added an SNES/GBA changes section to this guide
which explains all of the changes between this and the SNES version. I also
added the Stopwatch to my items section because I completely forgot all about
it.
Version 2.90, May 6, 2005: Added a Mario Bros. section to this guide since I
completely forgot about it. It explains the rules and how to play the Mario
Bros. Arcade.
Version 3.00, July 10, 2005: You can surely smack me in the head for me
forgetting all about this. You know how I said how I would add more warp zone
secrets into the FAQ once I found them? Well I completely forgot about them,
and I saw that they weren't done while I was browsing this guide because I was
bored. I have all the Warp Zones done now.

2. Controls
============
Here are the controls in the game.
A: Jump, Select option
B: Run while held, uproot/throw vegetables
Up: Open doors, climb weeds
Down: Duck
Right: Move right
Left: Move left
R: No use
L: Move screen up/down
Start: Pauses game
Select: Has no real effect, just moves the cursor up or down
--------------
Special Moves
--------------
These are special moves you can do:
Run with vegetable: To run while holding a vegetable, hold B while uprooting a
vegetable and your character shouldn't throw it. Now, don't let go of B and run
until you want to throw the vegetable by pressing B.
Super Jump: This is probably the most useful move in the game. To do this, hold
Down until your character starts glowing, and then you will jump much higher in
the air. Now, you can move while in the air so be quick. This is useful for
getting on higher platforms and getting past large gaps, especially as Peach,
where she can still float in the air after a super jump.
Running Jump: To jump while running, start holding B and then jump while
running. Your jump will be slightly higher and you can use it to get over gaps
and stuff.
==============
3. Characters
==============
Mario: Mario's a pretty average character in the game. His power, speed, and
jump are all pretty good. He's fast and he can uproot vegetables quick. He's
pretty well for beginners and a nice character all around.
Jump: 4/5
Speed: 4/5
Power: 4/5
Luigi: Mario's younger brother. He may be slower in speed and at uprooting
vegetables than his older brother, but he can jump higher in the air. He is
good for levels that have a lot of high platforms, and good for beginners as
well.
Jump: 5/5
Speed: 3/5
Power: 3/5
Toad: Toad is fairly useless in the game, and his voice is really annoying. His
jump is really low, so he is bad at getting on high platforms unless you super
jump. But he is the fastest out of the 4 characters, and he can uproot
vegetables faster than any characters, making him useful for levels like Levels
2-1 and 2-2, where you need to get through a lot of sand blocks quickly.
Jump: 2/5
Speed: 5/5
Power: 5/5
Peach: Her stats may be low, but she has an ability no other character gets.
She may be slow, slow at picking vegetables up, and her jump is average, but
she can float in the air for about a second and a half. Just hold A to float
while jumping and use the control stick to move. Hold B and A to move around
faster. She is useful for levels with a lot of large gaps.
Jump: 3/5
Speed: 2/5
Power: 2/5
=========
4. Items
=========
Here is a list of items you can find throughout the game, getting them in any
way shape or form.
-------
Health
-------
These are health items that will heal you. Each level you start off with 2 full
heart containers. If you get hit, you lose 1, and if you lose all of yours, you
lose a life. There are a lot of ways you can heal yourself. If you knock out
two enemies in a row with the same vegetable, you get a heart.
Heart: These come in big and large sizes. Some are floating in the air so you
can grab one, and this will heal your health, so grab these if you can. You can
also get these by uprooting some out of the ground.
Mushroom: These are found in subspace, so grab these when you see these. If you
see one of these, pick it up and you'll get an extra heart container. You can
have up to 5 at maximum, so these are really useful.
1-Up Mushroom: These are 1-up Mushrooms you can find in rare places. Pick this
up and you get an extra life.
-----------
Vegetables
-----------
These are items you can get by uprooting then out of the ground. Doesn't matter
what they are, they are listed here.
Small Vegetables: These are also known as sprouts. These are really tiny
vegetables that you may uproot, and they aren't very useful. You need to throw
this correctly to knock out an enemy because they can easily miss enemies.
These can knock out multiple enemies if used correctly.
Vegetables: These are the medium sized vegetables. These are pretty useful for
knocking out many of the enemies in the game, and they have a good shot at
hitting something. These can be used to knock out multiple enemies if thrown
correctly, and these are scattered all over the place in many of the levels.
Giant Vegetables: You'll know you've uprooted one if it takes your character
longer than usual to pull out a weed. These are pretty useful for any enemies
in the game, and these can knock out a large group of enemies and if you knock
out 5 or 6 enemies, you can get a 1-up.
Potion: These are fairly common in most of the levels. If you uproot a weed and
you get a potion, throw it to create a door. Enter it and you'll be in an area
called subspace (it's a mirror version of where you are). Only this time, the
weeds will get you coins when uprooted, or they may be small vegetables. Also,
you can find Mushrooms and Yoshi Eggs in Subspace.
Coins: These are found in subspace only. When you uproot a weed in subspace,
you'll get a coin. For each coin you get you can play the bonus game at the end
of a level. It costs 1 coin to play each time and you can win 1-ups if you line
up the same objects 3 times in a row (or if you get a Cherry on the first
slot).
Koopa Shell: These are like Giant Vegetables, you know you've found one if it
takes longer than usual to uproot a weed. This is useful in levels with flat
land and a lot of enemies. Once you throw this, it will knock out any enemy in
its path. A heart will appear in the air for each enemy you knock out, so grab
them if you are low on health.
1-ups: These are quite rare in most of the levels, but uprooting a weed may
sometimes be a 1-up, giving you an extra life.
Bombs: These are found in most of the levels. If you pick it up, throw them to
get rid of any dirt blocks nearby. They will explode, creating an opening.
Also, this will knock out any enemies nearby, and this is good for some of the
bosses in the game.
Stopwatch: This is another extremely rare item in the game, and it is a lot
less common in the GBA version. When you uproot one of these, it "stops time"
for a few seconds. This stops all enemy movement (even if they are in the air)
and you can easily get past them, especially those annoying enemies like the
Pansers.
-------
Blocks
-------
These are items you can pick up, and these are not underground.
POW Block: When you pick this up, throwing it will knock out any enemy on the
screen. For each enemy you knock out, you get an extra point bonus. If you
knock out enough enemies, you can get a 1-up or two. Useful for most of the
levels.
Giant POW Block: These are slow picking up, so be quick. This is just like the
POW Block except it's 4 times bigger. When you throw this, it will bounce on
the ground a few times before it goes away, so follow its movements and you may
be able to knock out extra enemies, giving you plenty of 1-ups. This is really
useful if you can use it correctly.
Dirt Block: This is not an item, but I'll mention it here. These are blocks of
dirt that guard your way in most of the levels. Use the Bombs you can uproot to
get rid of these by placing a bomb right next to the dirt blocks.
Mushroom Block: This is needed to defeat the boss in the second world and these
can also be used as platforms too. If there are several mushroom blocks around
you, you can also stack them up to get on higher platforms above you. You can
throw these around and knock out some enemies.
--------------
Special Items
--------------
Other items that go nowhere else so I'll mention them here.
Cherry: These are cherries floating in the air in many of the levels. Picking
up 5 of these causes a star to appear, and then another star will appear after
you pick up 5 more, and so on.
Stars: After you pick up 5 cherries, stay where you are. A star will start
floating around the screen and pick it up when it comes to you. You will now
become invincible and you can knock out anything you touch, so you can get a
few 1-ups if you knock out plenty of enemies. This is useful for getting past
annoying levels like 2-2.
Ace Coins: These are the new items in this game. These are floating around in
every level and there are 5 of them in each level. Picking up all 5 in a level
gives you a 1-up, and there are 100 total in the game. These are required to
finish the game 100%, and this changes the Yoshi from green to red at the title
screen.
Yoshi Eggs: Another new feature in this game. After you beat the game you can
take the Yoshi Challenge, which means finding all of the Yoshi Eggs throughout
the game. There are 2 in each level, making a total of 40. All the eggs are
found in subspace, and I do have a Walkthrough for how to get all of them.
Collecting all 40 hatches the egg at the title screen.

World 1: Grass Land
<><><><><><><><><><><>
-------------------------------
World 1-1
Characters Recommended: Anyone
-------------------------------
Once you start the level, don't press anything and you will land on a cloud.
Now, follow the clouds to a platform with a weed on it. Uproot the weed for a
vegetable, and throw it at the Giant Shy Guy. If you knock it out, grab the
heart that appears. Now keep falling until you hit the ground. Now get on the
platform in the middle and use it to get on the platform to the right. On here,
open the door, and go through. In here, head right until you see an Ace Coin,
jumping over all of the Shy Guys. Once you see the Ace Coin, grab it. Now climb
up the vine to the right. At the top, throw the Shy Guy off and uproot the
first weed for a potion. Throw it and then open the door to subspace. In here,
grab the Mushroom and uproot the 3 weeds for 3 coins, and then leave subspace.
Back out here, pick up the POW Block, and then throw it to get rid of all the
enemies nearby. Now head right and use the platforms to get to the log above
you.
On here, cross the log until you get to a waterfall. Use the logs to cross it
and get the Ace Coin in the air. At the other side of the waterfall, pick up
the POW Block and throw it to knock out all of the enemies nearby. Now, head
all the way right past the log until you see a door. Once you see it, open it,
and go through. In here, grab the Ace Coin in the air and climb up the vine. At
the top, uproot the first weed and throw it at that large group of Ninjis. If
you knock out all of them you get a 1-up. Now head right and leave this room by
going through the door. Back out here, head right and pick up the first weed
for a potion. Now throw it at that large group of weeds and enter subspace. In
here, get the Mushroom and all of the weeds you can for a lot of coins, and
then you will automatically leave subspace. Back out here, climb up the vine.
Up here, climb up all of the platforms. Keep climbing and stay to the right
until you se an Ace Coin to the right. Once you see it, grab it.
Now climb up the weed above you and use the platforms to get on the one above
you. On here, you'll see an Ace Coin to the left of the vines. Grab it and you
will get a 1-up for collecting all 5 coins. Now keep climbing the weeds until
you get to another area. In here, head right until you get to a platform with
Birdo on it.
******************
Boss: Pink Birdo
Difficulty: 1.5/5
******************
She is pretty easy. Once the fight starts, get next to her and wait for her to
shoot out an egg. Once she does, jump onto it and grab it, and then throw it at
her. If you get hit, go back for one of the hearts in the air, or uproot one of
the weeds for a heart. Keep trying to throw eggs at Birdo and after 3 hit
she'll be gone. Pick up the crystal and enter the bird's mouth. Play the bonus
game if you have any coins.
--------------------------------------------
World 1-2
Characters Recommended: Mario, Luigi, Peach
--------------------------------------------
Once you start the level, jump over the first few platforms and you will see a
Pidgit in the air on its carpet. Wait for it to swoop down at you, and then
when it does, jump on it and throw if off the carpet. Now, get on the carpet
and use the D-Pad to steer it. Stay as low in the air until you see an Ace
Coin. Once you see it, grab it, and then steer your carpet upward and you will
see another Ace Coin, and then grab it. Now, jump off the carpet and get on the
ground below you. Down here, you will see two vases. Go down the second one.
Down here, grab the key and then jump out of the vase before the Phantos gets
you. Back out here, run like hell right to the locked door. Open it with the
key and go through. In here, head right past the gaps and get rid of all the
enemies. You will stop at a dirt block. Now uproot one of the weeds for a bomb.
Place it next to the blocks and they will explode, making an opening, so go
through it.
Now head right and pick up the Ace Coin, and then head up the ladder to the
left. Up here, pick up the first root to the right for a potion. Throw it to
make a door and enter Subspace. Now pick up all 3 weeds for 3 coins, then
leave. Now, uproot one weed for a bomb, and place it on top of the dirt block
to the right to explode it. If you are small, the opening is big enough for you
to go through, otherwise place another bomb on top of the dirt block and go
through the opening. Now, head right until you stop at a wall, getting past the
Ninjis. Now, the platform is too high for Peach and Luigi, so super jump to get
on top of it. On here, head right and go through the door. Back out here, get
on the platform above you and head all the way left until you see an Ace Coin.
Grab it and then uproot the weed next to you. Get past the Snifit and head
right to that large group of weeds. Throw the potion there and enter the door.
In here, grab all the coins out of the ground possible until you get back
outside.
Back out here, jump in the air and get the final Ace Coin. Otherwise, super
jump from the ground and try again. You'll now have all 5 for a 1-up. Now, head
right and open the door, and then go through. In here, head right and you will
see Birdo on a platform.
*****************
Boss: Pink Birdo
Difficulty: 1/5
*****************
I would say this fight is slightly easier than the previous one because you
have more protection against Birdo. Now, uproot one of the weeds for a heart
and walk up to Birdo. Wait for her to shoot out an egg and then jump on it and
pick it up. Throw it at her and try to hit her. Hit her 3 times to beat her,
and if she is a problem, use the lower grounds for protection. Once she's gone,
pick up the crystal and enter the bird, and play the bonus game if you have any
coins.
-------------------------------------
World 1-3
Characters Recommended: Peach, Luigi
-------------------------------------
Once you start the level, get on the bird to you on the left. Now super jump
off of it and get on the higher platform above you. On here, grab the Ace Coin
and head all the way right until you get to a waterfall with falling logs on
it, avoiding all of the enemies, grabbing all of the Cherries, and jumping over
all of the gaps. Now, once you get to the waterfall, cross it using the falling
logs. At the end of the waterfall head right to another waterfall. Cross it and
grab the Ace Coin in the middle. Once you get through the waterfall, head all
the way right until you stop at a vase, avoiding all of the enemies in your
way. Once you get to a vase, step on the platform to the right. On here, let it
spring you up and then get the Ace Coin in the air. Now, head left until you
see a door. Once you get to a door, open it, and go through.
In here, climb up the chain above you. At the top, get on the platform to the
right. On here, jump over the Shy Guys and then pick up a Mushroom Block. Get
on the platform above you and place it on it. Then stack up the Mushroom Blocks
with two more and get on the top of them. On here, jump to the platform above
you, watching for the Sparks. On here, you will see two chains on the right.
Climb up the one on the left. At the top, get on the platform to the right. Now
if you are Peach or Toad, super jump to get on the platform above you,
otherwise jump if you're Mario/Luigi. On here, get on either platform to the
right or left, and then get on the platform above you. On here, open the door,
and go through. In here, super jump to get on the platform above you if you're
Peach/Toad. On here, pick up the key and then leave the room. Back in here,
fall all the way down to the bottom of the room to a spike pit, avoiding all of
the platforms and falling down the ones you land.
The spike pit is below a large group of chains. Once you see the chains, stay
to the left and you should see an Ace Coin. Try to land on the platform below
it and then grab it. Otherwise, super jump and don't die in the spikes. Now,
use the platforms to get to the door on the right. Once you get to it, open it,
and go through. In here, jump across all of the gaps until you see 3 lined up.
Get on the lowest one of the three. On here, get the final Ace Coin for a 1-up,
and then get on the highest of the three platforms. Now, head right, jumping
over all of the gaps and enemies until you get to a crystal. Pick it up and
enter the bird. You've completed the level...
..not. Head right and you will come to a dirt block. You will see a giant
mouse throwing bombs. Let them explode and blow up the dirt. Now enter your new
opening and fight the mouse.
****************
Boss: Mouser
Difficulty: 2/5
****************
This is pretty tough for beginners, but he still shouldn't be too much of a
problem. Now, he will throw an unlimited amount of bombs at you and across the
screen. You can catch one in the air by simply jumping underneath one. Now,
throw it on the platform Mouser is on. Try to throw it in the back, because he
likes to hang around the back. So, if the bomb explodes in his range, he will
be hit. Otherwise, keep trying until he gets hit by an exploding bomb. Once 3
bombs explode on him, he will be defeated. Go through the new door and you've
cleared World 1.
<><><><><><><><><><><>
World 2: The Desert
<><><><><><><><><><><>
------------------------------------
World 2-1
Characters Recommended: Mario, Toad
------------------------------------
Having Mario or Toad is highly recommended because you'll need a character who
can uproot blocks and weeds fast in the pyramid. Once you start the level,
uproot the weed to the left for a heart. Now, head right and you will come to a
platform of bones. Get on it and super jump to get the Ace Coin in the air.
Now, head right over the vases avoiding the Cobrats until you get to a golden
platform with 4 weeds on it. Uproot the first one for a potion, and throw it
next to the weeds and enter subspace. In here, grab the Mushroom and the three
weeds for 3 coins, and then leave. Back out here, head right to the sand pit.
Cross it and you will get to a cactus with an Ace Coin above it. Super jump for
it and then head right to the golden platform. Get past it and then get to the
other end of this sand pit. Now, get on top of the cactus and super jump to the
left and get the Ace Coin in the air. Now, head right until you get to a door.
Once you get to it, open it, and go through.
In here, Throw the Shy Guy on the other half of the platform. Now, get on the
left half of the platform and start using B to uproot all of the sand, and do
it quick. Dodge any Shy Guys if they start coming at you. Now, when you're
digging, stay to the right of the screen until you see the Ace Coin. Once you
see the Ace Coin, grab it. Now, head to the left part of the screen and keep
digging until you see another Ace Coin. Once you see it, grab it and you'll
have all 5 for a 1-up. Now, keep digging until you see a ladder. Once you see
it, climb down it. Down here, open the door to the right and go through. In
here, head right up the stairs, jump over the gap, and fight the Birdo.
*****************
Boss: Pink Birdo
Difficulty: 2/5
*****************
Easy just like any other Birdo, but just one thing. Watch where you run and
jump because of the two gaps to the left or right, so try to stay in on the
platform as much as you can. Get close to Birdo and wait for her to shoot an
egg out. Grab it and throw it at Birdo when she's not shooting an egg or you'll
it hit. It takes 3 hits to get rid of her. Then pick up the crystal, jump over
the gap, and head right into the bird. If you have any coins, play the bonus
game.
------------------------------------
World 2-2
Characters Recommended: Mario, Toad
------------------------------------
This level is really hard, but Mario and Toad are still recommended. Once you
start the level, hop on the higher platforms and head right until you see a
door. Once you see it, go through it, and you'll be outside. Out here, uproot
the weed for a Koopa Shell, and toss it at the Shy Guys, and collect the hearts
when you hit them. Now head right and get on top of the skeleton platform.
Super jump and try to get the Ace Coin. Once you grab it, jump across the sand
pit before you get sucked in. At the end of it, jump over the cacti and then
hop over the vase. Uproot the first weed for a potion, and throw it in between
the two weeds. Enter subspace and grab the two weeds for 2 coins and the
Mushroom (you'll need it). Now leave subspace and head right until you get to a
sand pit. Cross it. At the other end of the pit, super jump and grab the Ace
Coin in the air to the left. Now head all the way right past all of the vases
and Cobrats until you get to a golden platform with fire-spitting plants on it.
Get on top of it, avoid the plants, and grab the Ace Coin. Now head right,
uproot the weed for a heart, and then head down a vine.
This place is really annoying because you'll have so many Shy Guys chase you.
Now keep digging the sand blocks and try to avoid the Shy Guys as best as you
can. Stay to the left part of the screen until you see an Ace Coin. Once you
see it, grab it and then keep digging. Now keep digging until you come to sand
blocks separated by a platform. Get to the left of the platform and start
digging until you see the Ace Coin. Grab it and then you should get a 1-up for
collecting all 5. Now head back up to the platform and start digging on the
right half of it. Keep digging and watch out for the Snifit until you get to a
door. Once you get to it, open it and go through. In here, head right until you
see Birdo on a higher platform above you.
****************
Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 2/5
****************
Same old Birdo, except she's red this time. The only difference is that she can
shoot out fire instead of eggs at times, so be careful. Once the fight starts,
jump cross the gap and super jump to get to the platform she's on. On here, get
close to her and wait for her to fire. If it's fire, jump over it. If it's an
egg, grab it and throw it at her. Hit her with eggs 3 times to knock her out.
Then grab the crystal she leaves and then go through the bird to the right.
Play the bonus game if you have any coins.
---------------------------------------------
World 2-3
Characters Recommended: Mario, Luigi, Peach
---------------------------------------------
Once you start the level, climb up the ladder next to you, and you'll be
outside. Out here, uproot the first weed to the right for a potion. Grab it and
throw it next to the weeds and enter subspace. Grab all the weeds for coins
possible and leave. Back out here, head right and you will see an Ace Coin in
the air. Super jump to grab it and head right until you get to a cactus,
watching out for the gold Shy Guys coming from above. Now, jump from cactus to
cactus and you will see an Ace Coin above one of them. Super jump to grab it
and then head all the way right until you get to a door, watching out for all
of the enemies. Once you get to the door, open it, and go through.
In here, there is a gap to the left and right. Fall down the left one and you
will see an Ace Coin. Grab it and then stay to the right. Try to land on a
platform with 2 weeds on it. Uproot the one on the left for a potion and then
throw it next to the other weed. Enter subspace and grab the lonely coin. Now
leave. Back out here, fall down the gap to the left and you should land on sand
blocks. Start digging and watch out for all of the Shy Guys. Keep digging until
you see a door. Once you see it, grab the Ace Coin to the left of it and then
enter the door. In here, super jump to get on the platform with the key. Grab
it and then leave this room. Back in here, jump up all the sand blocks until
you get to the top. Throw the key to make the Phantos disappear and then wait a
few seconds. Now grab the key again and jump to the top of the sand blocks and
you will see a locked door to the right. Open it and go through.
In here, head right and you should get to a pyramid of sand blocks with a fire-
spitting plant on top of it. Avoid it and grab the Ace Coin at the top. If you
have all 5, you'll get a 1-up. Now head all the way right until you see a
crystal. Grab it and then head all of the way right and enter the bird. In
here, head right and fight the boss.
****************
Boss: Tryclyde
Difficulty: 2/5
****************
This boss is pretty easy if you know what you're doing. It's a three headed
snake that likes to shoot fire at you. Now, pick up a Mushroom block and throw
one at it. It doesn't move around, so you should have no problem dealing with
it. There are 6 Mushroom blocks and you need to hit him 3 times. If you get
hit, grab a heart from the ground to the left. Also, see that Tweeter? You can
pick it up and throw it at the wall Tryclyde is in front of. It will bounce off
it and hit him 3 times. A really useful tip I found out. Just be accurate with
your throwing and you'll have no problems. After three hits, enter the door.
Play the bonus game if you have any coins. Now you've beaten the annoying World
2! Congratulations!

Once you start the level, head right and jump over the Shy Guys. Now jump over
the gap and uproot the weed above the door for a heart. Now enter the door. In
here, fall in the gap. Now, STAY TO THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN UNTIL YOU SEE AN ACE
COIN. Once you see it, grab it, and then stay in the middle. You should fall in
a platform, and use them to get in the door below you. Open it, and go through.
In here, head right and uproot the 6th weed to the right to get a potion. Once
you find it, throw it at that large group of weeds and enter subspace. In here,
grab the Mushroom if you can see it and uproot all of the weeds you can for
coins until you get kicked out. Back in here, open the door to the right, and
you'll be in the same area next to the gap. Use the green platforms to get to
an Ace Coin. Super jump to get to the highest platform and then grab it. Now,
hop on the clouds to the right and keep using them to get higher and higher
until you get to a Pidgit. Once you see it, wait for it to swoop down at you
and then throw it off the carpet. Now, take a ride on it and stay to the right
until you see an Ace Coin. Once you see it, get it and then get to the left
part of the screen until you see another Ace Coin. Grab it and then jump off to
get on the vine to the right before the carpet diminishes. Now, climb up the
vine.
Up here, head left. You'll need Peach to do this. Get to the edge of the
platform and they'll be a long gap. Super jump and float over the gap and
you'll get on another platform. This may be tricky to pull off. Once you land
on the platform, go through the door. In here, uproot one of the two weeds for
a bomb. Place the bomb next to the dirt blocks and have it explode to create an
opening. Now go through it and then grab the Ace Coin. If you have all 5 you'll
get a 1-up. Now get on top of the two dirt blocks to the left. Super jump and
hold left. You should land on a secret platform. Now head left and fall down to
the platform below you. Down here, fight Birdo.
******************
Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************
Still an easy fight, just watch out for the gap to the left and you don't have
much room to fight Birdo. Now, get close to her and wait for her to shoot an
egg out, not fire. Then grab it and throw it at her. Hit her three times to
win. Also, you can grab a Mushroom Block to the right and throw it at her,
which may be easier. After three hits, pick up the crystal, super jump to get
on the platform above you, and then enter the bird. Play the bonus game if you
got any coins.

World 3-2
Characters Recommended: Luigi, Mario, Peach
--------------------------------------------
Once you start the level, head right and grab the heart in the air, watching
out for the Shy Guys. Once you grab the Ace Coin, head all the way right until
you get to an Ace Coin, jumping over everything in your way. Once you get the
Ace Coin, head right past the fire spitting plant until you get to a POW Block
on the ground. Now just before the POW Block, super jump and you'll see an Ace
Coin in the air. Grab it in the air and then head all the way right until you
get to a Snifit. Above the Snifit is a platform. Jump on it and grab the Ace
Coin to the left. Now uproot the first of three weeds for a potion and throw it
to the other two weeds. Enter subspace. In here, grab the Mushroom and uproot
the 2 weeds for 2 coins, and then leave. Back out here, uproot one of the two
weeds next to the dirt blocks for a bomb. Place it on the blocks and it will
explode, so fall down the opening.
Down here, head all the way left until you get to an Ace Coin, past the ladder
and dodging all of the Tweeters. Once you get to the Ace Coin, grab it and then
head down the ladder. Down here, jump over the gap and get on the platform to
the left. On here, uproot one of the weeds for a bomb, and then get on the
platform below you. Down here, place it next to the dirt blocks and it will
explode. Now go through the opening and uproot another weed for a bomb. Place
it next to the dirt block and it will explode. Now get back on the platform
above you and uproot the only weed for a bomb. Run quick and throw it next to
the dirt block. It will explode, so uproot the weed down here (the other one is
a heart) for a bomb. Throw it at the last set of dirt blocks and the bomb will
explode, so go through the opening.
In here, head left and you will stop at a wall. Get on the platform and then
super jump to get on the blue platform above you. On here, head up the ladder.
Back up here, head left and you will get to another ladder, so climb down it.
Down here, head left and jump over the platforms, and get the Ace Coin in the
air, and you should now get a 1-up for collecting all 5. Now head up the ladder
to the left. Up here, head down the ladder to the left. Down here, uproot one
of the weeds to the left for a bomb. Now, get to the edge of the platform. When
the bomb starts flashing, throw it down the gap and it should explode in the
air, causing some of the dirt blocks to explode, so go through the new opening.
In here, head left and you will get to a ladder. Skip it for now and continue
left. You will get to an area with 4 weeds. Uproot the first one for a potion,
and throw it to make a door and enter subspace. In here, uproot the 3 other
weeds for 3 coins, and leave (you'll see a Mushroom, but you can't get it
unless you threw a bomb earlier and broke up the dirt blocks).
Back out here, head right and super jump to get back on the platform to the
right. On here, head up the ladder. Up here, open the door to the left, and go
through. In here, uproot the weed for a heart, and continue left until you get
to Birdo.

Once the fight starts, do what you always do. Get close to Birdo and wait for
her to shoot out a fireball or an egg. If it's a fireball, jump, otherwise get
on the egg and throw it at her. Stay away from the Mushroom blocks because they
may mess you up if you pick them up. Now, hit her 3 times and she'll be gone.
Now pick up the Crystal and uproot one of the Mushroom blocks to the left and
then fall down the opening. Down here, head all the way right until you get to
a bird. Once you get to a bird, go in its mouth, and play the bonus game if you
have any coins.

Once you start the level, uproot one of the weeds for a heart. Now get on the
higher platforms and open the door. Out here, head right and you will get to a
pit. Birds will start dropping bombs at you, so hurry across the pit. Now, get
on the pole and grab the Ace Coin in the air. Now continue right and you will
get to a door. Open it and go through. In here, uproot the weed to the right
for a Giant POW Block. Take it left and throw it, and follow it until it stops
bouncing. You may knock out all the enemies in your way, so be quick. Now head
left and climb up the ladder. At the top, head right and cross the platforms
until you get to a door. Once you get to it, open it, and go through.
In here, uproot the weed to the right for a heart, and then get on the platform
above you.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOTE: If you see an opening without a wall to the right or left, you can walk
through it and appear on the other side of the screen and dodge most of the Shy
Guys coming out of the vases. These will be useful for dodging Shy Guys, and
you can get back to the bottom of the room when you have the key, and it's
faster too.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, keep climbing all of these platforms upward until you get to the top of
the room, dodging all of the Shy Guys. Once you get to the top of the room open
the door and go through. In here, watch out for the Spark and grab the key. Now
leave this room and here lays the long race back to the locked door. Now, keep
throwing the key and picking it back up to make the Phantos go away. Once you
get to the bottom of the room, open the door and go through. In here, drop down
to the floor below you and run all the way to a locked door, watching out for
the Phantos. Once you get to the locked door, open it and go through. In here,
head right and super jump to get on the platform above you. On here, get on the
blue platform and super jump to get on the platform above you.
On here, head left and you will get to a ladder. Climb it up to the top, and
then fall off to the right. You will land on a platform, and get on the one to
the right. On here, get on the platform above you, and then get on the blue
platform above you. Now jump onto the ladder to the right and climb it to the
top. At the top, jump off to the blue platform on the left. Now super jump to
the platform above you, watching out for the Sparks. On here, get on the
platform to the left and uproot one of the weeds for a heart. Now get the
platform to the right. On here, open the door, and go through. In here, fall in
the gap to the right and try to get the Ace Coin. Otherwise, super jump on the
floor and grab it.
Now fall all the way down to the complete bottom of the room and you will get
to a door. Open it and go through. Back in this same room open the door to the
left (this is the door that was locked). Now it's that long hard climb back to
the same door. Once you get to the door, open it and go through. In here, climb
up all the blue platforms until you get to a platform with two Shy Guys. Ignore
them and climb up the chain to the left to the top. Now hop from chain to chain
until you get to the last one (watch out for the fire spitting plants). Now,
climb the last chain until you get to the top. Once you get to the top, open
the door to the left and go through.
Jeeze, this level will never end. Keep climbing the blue platforms (don't
worry, they go straight up and that's it) and super jump if you need to until
you see an Ace Coin to the left. Super jump to grab it and keep climbing the
blue platforms and watch out for all of the Sparks on the platforms until you
get to a ladder. Once you get to a ladder, climb it, and open the door to the
right of it. Out here, super jump to get on the platform above you. On here,
get the Ace Coin and head right until you get to a weed. Uproot it for a shell
and get on the platform above you. Throw the shell and follow its path,
knocking out all of the enemies (get the hearts too). At the end of a platform
is a crystal. Before picking it up, get on the bird and super jump to get on
the platform with the Ace Coin. Grab it for a 1-up since you got all 5 Ace
Coins.
Now pick up the Crystal, and go through the bird. In here, fight the boss.

Boss: Robo-Birdo
Difficulty: 2.5/5
*******************
This boss is fun if you get the hang of it. There are hearts in the air for
when you get hit. First, when she jumps, you jump as well, because when she
lands, she'll paralyze you for a few seconds and she'll charge at you. Even if
you didn't get paralyzed, she'll charge at you, so jump onto one of the chains
above you to avoid her. Now, wait for her to shoot a giant egg out. When she
does, pick it up and throw it at her, and she'll keep repeating this process
(she shoots out the eggs randomly). After 3 hits, she will start going on a
rampage running around the room like crazy, so jump on one of the chains above
to avoid her, and she'll still spit out eggs. After 5 hits, she'll be gone, and
then enter the door, and congrats, you've beaten the long, hard, boring World
3. Play the bonus game if you got any coins from subspace (oh yeah, I didn't
cover those >_>)

Yay, my favorite world of them all. Once you start the level, uproot the first
weed for a sprout. Be careful, the ice is slippery and fun. Throw it at the
first enemy and it should bounce off the second one, making a heart, so grab
it. Now you'll see an Ace Coin to the right. Super jump to get it (or use the
fish hopping from the ground below), and then head right, jumping from platform
to platform until you see a higher platform and a lower one. Take the lower
path to an Ace Coin and grab it, and then hop on the platform above you. On
here, head right and jump over the gap onto another ice platform. On here, take
the lower path and uproot the weed for a potion. Throw it at the 5 weeds to the
right and enter subspace. In here, uproot the 5 weeds for 5 coins and leave.
Back out here, head right and you'll see two more platforms. Take the lower one
and follow it to an Ace Coin. Once you grab the Ace Coin, hop onto the platform
above you.
On here, head all the way right, dodging all of the enemies until you are
stopped at a wall. Now, get on the lower platform to the left of the wall (fall
in the gap and hold left). Down here, uproot the weed for a rocket and you'll
be taken higher. Up here, head right and you will get to a Shy Guy on a
machine. Get on top of it and jump for the Ace Coin. Once you grab it, continue
right until you get to two vases. From there, go back on the ice platform to
the left. Now if there is a Shy Guy on a machine, get on top of him and super
jump. You should see an Ace Coin high in the air, and try to get it as best as
you can. Once that's out of the way you'll get a 1-up for collecting all 5, and
then run like hell to the right as fast as you can...avoiding all of the
enemies and platforms until you get to a crystal. Pick it up and enter the
bird. Hey! There's no boss here! What a rip-off! Anyway, play the bonus game if
you got coins.

Once you start the level, pick up the POW Block and throw it to the enemies. It
will bounce and knock everyone out for your 1-up. Now climb up the vine to the
right. At the top, hop on the platform to the right and continue right, dodging
all of the Shy Guys coming from up above until you see an Ace Coin in the air.
Grab it and continue right until you see another Ace Coin. Grab it and then
head right, jumping over more platforms until you get to a door. Once you get
to a door, open it and go through. In here, you will be in a large room of
whales shooting water sprouts. You can ride on them, just don't run into them
or you'll be hit. Now on one of the tails is an Ace Coin. Grab it and be
careful not to fall in the water. Keep heading right hopping on the whales and
you'll see another Ace Coin on a tail. Grab it and continue right onto a green
platform. Uproot the weed in the middle and it will be a rocket, launching you
into another part of the map.
Up here, head right and you will get to an Ace Coin. Grab it and you'll get a
1-up for collecting all 5. Now wait until the Shy Guy on the machine comes and
get on him and throw him off. Get on the machine and ride it across the spike
pit. At the other end is a door. Open it and go through. In here, super jump
onto the platform and head right to fight the boss.

Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 3/5
****************
This boss is tough for me because you are on a slippery platform. Once the
fight starts, try to stay farther away from here this time and wait for her to
shoot out an egg, not a fireball. Once she does, pick it up and throw the egg
at her. Just don't slip too much and try to time your throws right. After 3
hits which may take a lot of luck, she'll be gone, so pick up the crystal and
enter the bird to the right. If you got any coins, play the bonus game.

World 4-3

Once you start the level, climb up the ladder, and at the top, go through the
door. Out here, head right. You'll see a Pink Birdo and a very large gap to the
right of her. Wait for her to shoot an egg out when she's facing right. When
she does, jump on it and ride it across the very long gap. At the end of the
ride is an Ace Coin. Grab it and head right. Jump over the gap and continue
right until you get to a door. Once you get to it, open it, and go through. In
here, start jumping and climbing up all of the platforms until you see an Ace
Coin to the left. Grab it and keep jumping higher and higher until you get to
the highest part of the room. At the highest part is a door. Open it and go
through. You'll be outside. Out here, open the door on the tower to the right,
and go through. In here, this is another interesting puzzle. There is a large
spike pit, a Blue Shy Guy, a Red Shy Guy, and a tweeter. Hop on the red shy guy
and he will fall into the spike pit. Use him to ride across it, and then he'll
get to a gap and fall in another one.
Before he falls down the second one, jump off of him and get on the platform to
the left. On here, grab the Ace Coin and fall in the gap. Down here, stay where
you are and you will land near a door. Open it and go through. In here, super
jump twice to get on the platform with the key. Grab it and leave the room. Now
keep falling down to the way bottom of the room until you get to the locked
door. Throw the key now and then to stop that Phantos from chasing you for a
good amount of time. Once you get to the door, open it and go through. Now go
back in the door. Back in this door, get the Ace Coin in the pit to the right,
and then super jump out of it. Now open the door again. Out here, head right
and jump over all of the Shy Guys, and then open the door you'll come to. In
here, head to the other end of the room and get on the bird. Now hop onto the
platform to the left. On here, head left and grab the Ace Coin for a 1-up since
you got all 5. Now pick up the crystal below you and enter the bird.
******************
Boss: Hot Head
Difficulty: 3.5/5
******************
This boss is pretty fun, but if you touch it you get hurt. He is made up of a
ball of fire, but that shouldn't be a problem. Also, he may be tough for
beginners. Once the fight starts, pick up one of the Mushroom blocks on the
platform and then when he swings over to you, throw it at him. And watch out
for all the fire he spits too. After you throw 3 Mushroom Blocks at him, he
will explode into 6 fireballs. They will jump around at you so use the Mushroom
Blocks to get rid of all of them. The more you knock out, the faster you move.
You can get hearts by uprooting the weeds at the ground. Once they are all
gone, enter the door, and do the bonus game if you got any coins. Now, you are
done with the fun and cool World 4.

Once you start the level, head right until you see an Ace Coin in the air. Grab
it and continue right past the fire spitting plant. Now drop down to the ground
below you. Down here, head left and jump over the platforms until you get to a
door. Once you get to a door, open it and go through. In here, head right and
uproot the second weed on the screen for a potion. Throw it to the group of
weeds and enter subspace. In here, uproot all the weeds you can for coins, and
then leave. Back in here, jump over the gap to the right and then super jump to
get on the platform above you. Now you'll be on a large waterfall with falling
logs coming from the top. Use them to hop across the waterfall and grab the Ace
Coin you'll see. Now, near the end of the waterfall you'll see a fish jumping
out. Get on the falling log next to hit and get the Ace Coin, and then super
jump to get on the platform to the right. On here, use the jumping fish to get
across this waterfall (or super jump and float across if you're Peach).
On this platform, just hop over the gap. On this platform, use the jumping fish
to get across this waterfall, and get the Ace Coin as you do. At the end of the
waterfall, jump onto the platform below you. On here, head right and use the
jumping fish to get on the platform to the right. On here, you'll notice
there's a jumping fish in the gap, and there's an Ace Coin in there as well.
Wait until the fish jumps back in the water then jump in where the fish jumps.
Now, you should get the Ace Coin and the fish should come back out, so get on
the platform to the right (if you're Peach, get on the fish and when he's about
to go in the water, float and he'll come back out and take you up), and you
should get the 1-up for getting all Ace Coins. On here, use the logs to hop
across the waterfall, and then get on the platform below you. On here, uproot
the first weed for a potion and throw it at the group. Enter subspace and get
all the coins possible, and then leave. Back out here, head right and open the
door, and then go through. In here, head right and fight Birdo.
******************
Boss: Green Birdo
Difficulty: 3/5
******************
Yep, a Green Birdo. Big difference this time. Instead of shooting out eggs, a
Green Birdo shoots out all fireballs, so you'll need something else to throw at
her. Once the fight starts, grab one of the hearts if you need to, and then
wait for Birdo to fall off the platform she's on. Now, she shoots 3 fireballs
at the time before she pauses, so grab the Mushroom Block and wait for her to
shoot three fireballs, and then she'll pause. Throw the Mushroom Block at her
and try to hit her. After 3 hits with the Mushroom Block she'll be gone, so
pick up the crystal she drops, and then enter the bird. Play the bonus game if
you got any coins.

Once you start the level, head right and hop onto the higher platforms. Now
head right and climb up the ladder, and you'll be outside. At the top, head

ride them up the tree, and you'll see an Ace Coin to the left. Grab it and
continue right to another set of beetles climbing down tress. Get on the
platform above you and head right. Now get on the ground below you. Down here,
head right and you'll see a Shy Guy on a flamingo. Get on it and super jump.
flamingo. Get on it and super jump. You should see an Ace Coin in the air so
grab it, if not try again. Now head right and you'll get to two Beetles on two
trees. Get on one of them to get on the platform to the right. On here, use the
Beetles on the tree to get across the gap, also get the Ace Coin. On here, jump
across the thin platforms to get across the gaps and to get on the platform. On
here, head all the way right until you get to a gap. Now jump over it and climb
up the vine.
Up here, throw one of the Giant Shy Guys to the ground if you need a heart. Now
keep climbing the vine until you see one to the left. Hop on that one and climb
it until a beetle comes down at you. Avoid it and get on the vine to the right.
If a beetle is on the vine you are and is coming down at you, hop on to the
opposite one. Keep climbing until you see the Ace Coin to the left. Once you
see it, wait for a beetle to come up and then you can jump off the vine to grab
the Ace Coin. Once you get the Ace Coin, climb up the vine again until you see
a door to the right. Once you get to the door, get off the vine, open it, and
go through. In here, pick up the POW Block guarding the gap, and then don't
fall in it yet. Hold left to stay in the platform and throw the POW Block to
knock out all the Ninjis. Now fall down the gap and STAY TO THE LEFT OF THE
SCREEN AS BEST AS YOU can, dodging all of the spikes. Once you get to a big
area, stay to the left next to the wall and you should see an Ace Coin. Grab it
for a 1-up since you got all 5. If not, kill yourself by hitting a spike and
try to grab it again.
Once you hit the ground, cross the gaps to a door. Once you get to the door,
open it and go through. In here, uproot the weed for a Koopa Shell. Don't throw
it, and continue right until you get to Birdo.
*******************
Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 3.5/5

I always thought this boss was pretty tough because of the fish jumping from
the water and she spits more fireballs than usual instead of eggs. Once the
fight starts, throw the Koopa Shell at her and she'll be hit. 2 more to go. Now
wait for the fish to jump out of the water and grab it. Throw it at Birdo and
it should hit her. 1 hit to go. Wait for her to shoot out the egg and don't
fall in the gap to the left or right. Once she shoots out an egg, grab it and
throw it at her and then she'll be done. Otherwise, once she got hit 3 times
she'll be done. Now pick up the crystal and head right, and enter the bird.

Once you start the level, uproot the weed next to you for a Koopa Shell. Now
throw it at the Shy Guys, and once they are hit, grab one of the hearts that
appear. Now head right and you'll get to a ladder. Climb up it. At the top,
head right and get on top of one of the dirt blocks. You'll see a lot of red
birds dropping bob-ombs, but wait for one to be coming from right to left
across the screen. Once you see one, get on its back and ride it until you get
on a platform with a vase on it. On here, grab the Ace Coin and then head back
right. Now collect all the Cherries in the air possible, and once you have 5,
wait for a star to appear, and then run past all of the red birds dropping
Bombs at you. Now head right until you see a Heart in the air. Once you do,
head right until you get to a green platform. Jump on it and then use it to
jump on the log to the right. Now hit L twice and you should see an Ace Coin to
the left. Grab it and then head right and you will stop at a dirt block. Super
jump to get on top of it and then head right. Grab the 2nd weed and throw it.
Enter subspace and uproot the other two weeds for 2 coins. Now leave.
Back out here, head right and you will get to the end of a log. Jump on it to
get on the platform below you. On here, head left until you get to a ladder,
and then climb down it. Down here, head all the way left until you get to a
door, jumping across all of the platforms and logs, and getting past the fire-
spitting plants. Once you get to a door, open it and go through. Now this is
the annoying part. Drop down to the floor below you, watching out for the
spark. Uproot the Mushroom block and wait for the Spark to come by. Throw it at
the Spark to get rid of him. Now grab the Ace Coin to the left and fall down to
the left. Down here, uproot the Mushroom Block to the right and fall down the
pit. Down here, uproot the Mushroom Block to the left and fall down the pit.
Down here, uproot the Mushroom Block to the right and fall down the pit. Down
here, throw the Mushroom Block on the vase to the left to stop any Shy Guys
coming out of it. Now uproot the Mushroom Block and fall down the pit.
Down here, head left. Now climb up ALL the platforms until you get to a door,
dodging any plants, Sparks, or bob-ombs. Also, super jump if you need to. Once
you get to a door, go through it. Back out here, head all the way right jumping
over the gaps until you get to a Pidgit. Once you get to a Pidgit, wait for it
to swoop down at you. Pick it up, and throw it off the carpet. Now get on the
carpet and ride it. Stay high and you'll get to an Ace Coin. Grab it and then
stay low until you get to the final Ace Coin. Grab it and you'll get a 1-up for
collecting all 5. Now get on the platform and jump across all of them until you
get to one with Birdo on it.

Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 3/5
****************
Yes, this may be a tough fight because of the gaps around you. Wait for Birdo
to spit out an egg, not a fireball as usual. Once she spits out an egg, pick it
up and throw it at Birdo, and try to stay away from the edges of the platform.
Once you hit her three times, pick up the Crystal she drops, head right, and
enter the bird.
But you're still not done with the level. Head right and fight the boss of
World 5.
******************
Boss: Crabmeat
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************
This is a really fun boss. First, walk up to the crab and bubbles will make him
bigger. Now get to the left of the small gap and wait for him to throw a rock.
If it is high in the air, don't, move. If he throws the rock at the ground
towards you, jump on it and try to pick it up. Now get close to Crabmeat and
throw it at him, and try not to hit a rock he throws. If you get hit, get one
of the hearts in the back (or uproot a weed for one). Keep repeating this
process and dodge as best as you can. After 5 hits with the rocks, he'll be
gone, so enter the door.

Once you start the level, get on top of the bird to the left. Super jump to get
the heart in the air. Now head right and you'll get to a sand pit. Jump over
all of the Cobrats until you get to your first Pokey. Get on top of it and you
should see an Ace Coin above you. Super jump to get it and then land back on
the Pokey, Wait for the Pokey to move right past the cactus and then super jump
and hold right. You should see an Ace Coin, so grab it (THIS IS VERY HARD TO
PULL OFF, SO USE LUIGI OR PEACH), if not get on the Pokey and try again. Now,
head all the way right until you stop at a wall (Cobrats should pop out before
it). Once you do, get on the platform above you. On here, jump across the cacti
and you will get to two Pokeys. Now, there is an Ace Coin to the right of the
cacti, so hop on one of the Pokeys and super jump to get the Ace Coin. Once you
have it, head right until you get to a door. Once you get to a door, open it
and go through.
In here, head right and drop down to the floor below you. Down here, head left
and you will get to a Giant Shy Guy and an Ace Coin. Throw the Giant Shy Guy
for a heart if you need to, and then grab the Ace Coin. Now, head right and you
will get to this large area of vases. Above the vases is an Ace Coin. Grab it
and then get to the farthest vase to the right. Now, count and enter the 5th
vase to the left. In here, drop down to the floor below you. Down here, keep
digging all of the sand blocks until you get to a key (watch out for any Shy
Guys). Once you have the key, grab it and then jump right back up and leave the
vase. Back out here, throw the key to get rid of the Phantos for a few seconds.
Now run all the way right to get to the locked door. Once you get to the locked
door, open it and go through. In here, head right until you get to Birdo, and
then the fight begins.
******************
Boss: Green Birdo
Difficulty: 3.5/5
******************
This boss can be pretty tough, and like I said before, Green Birdos only shoot
out fireballs and no eggs. Also, you and Birdo are separated by a pillar, and
the Mushroom Blocks are on her side. There are 3, but throw at least two to the
side of the pillar Birdo is one, then jump of the pillar to get on her side. On
here, remember the patterns with Birdo. She shoots three fireballs at the time
and then takes a break for a few seconds. So once she fires three fireballs,
throw one of the Mushroom Blocks at her. Now, once she fires 3 more fireballs
and pauses, throw the other Mushroom Block at her. Once you've hit her three
times, pick up her crystal, and then enter the bird to the right. Play the
bonus game if you got any coins.

World 6-2
Characters Recommended: Peach
------------------------------
This is an annoying level that you have to hop from bird to bird and ride the
back of a few to get to the end of the level, so I seriously recommend Peach
and her floating ability. Once the level starts, head right and get on the
platform above you. On here, head right and super jump to get on the platform
above you. On here, open the door. Out here, head right and get on one of the
birds coming towards you. Ride one of them and birds will now be coming from
the left. Get on one of them and ride it until you see an Ace Coin. Once you
see it, grab it and keep riding the bird until you see an Ace Coin below you.
Birds will now come from right to left so hop on one with extreme caution and
then ride it back to the left. Now, birds will start coming from the left again
so get on the lowest one possible and ride it until you get back to the Ace
Coin. Now, get the Ace Coin and ride the birds more right and super jump onto a
higher one. Now ride them until birds start coming from the right again. Get on
the highest one and get the Ace Coin.
Now keep riding the birds left until they come from the left again. Now ride
them right until you see the bare bottom of an Ace Coin. Wait for birds to come
from the right and get on one of them. Quickly grab the Ace Coin and then
quickly get on the same bird you were just on (going from left to right) and
you'll see an Ace Coin below you. Birds will still be coming from the right so
get on one below you and grab the Ace Coin. You should now get a 1-up for
grabbing all 5 and then ride this bird all the way back to the start so they'll
come from the left again. Now, get on one of the birds coming from the left and
then ride it across the whole level, dodging all of the obstacles, and then get
on the platform with a large group of Ninjis. Get rid of the ones blocking the
door and then open it. In here, head right until you get to Green Birdo. The
fight will now start.
******************
Boss: Green Birdo
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************
This boss is fairly easy, because you have a Giant Shy Guy who can give you an
unlimited amount of health as long as you don't knock it out and two Mushroom
Blocks at a fair distance from Birdo. Once the fight starts, get on the
platform above Birdo and pick up the Mushroom Block. Once she is underneath the
platform to the right, throw it at her. Now, drop off and grab the Mushroom
Block to the left. Throw it at Birdo and then if you want to, throw the Shy Guy
at her for the 3rd and final hit. Otherwise, use the Mushroom Blocks, because
if you have 2 hearts left, you can throw it at her if you get hit and you're
flashing. Dodging her fireballs this time is really easy because you have a lot
of platform protection. After 3 hits, pick up her crystal, and get on the
higher platform to the right. Now, head right and you will get to two weeds.
Uproot the first one for a 1-up and then go through the bird's mouth. Unless
you spent some time uprooting other weeds here, you shouldn't have any coins
for the bonus game, so don't ask.

World 6-3
Characters Recommended: Anyone
-------------------------------
Once you start the level, uproot all of the weeds in this room until you get a
heart, and then climb up the ladder in the middle of this room. At the top,
head right until you get to a Pokey. Once you get to a Pokey, get on it. You
should see an Ace Coin in the air to the right, so super jump and try to get
it. Once you have the Ace Coin, head right until you get to this large door.
Once you get to it, open it and go through. In here, go all the way right until
you stop at dirt blocks, dodging all of the Bob ombs coming out of the vases.
Once you stop at the dirt blocks, uproot one of the weeds to the left for a bob
omb, and place it next to the dirt blocks. Once it explodes, go through the new
opening. Now continue right and you will be stopped at another dirt block.
Uproot any of the weeds for a bomb and place it next to the dirt block. It will
explode, so go through the new opening. Now uproot one of these weeds for a
bomb and place it next to this dirt block. It will explode, so go through this
opening.
Now continue right until you get to a ladder. Climb down it and go through the
opening to your right. Now, head right and you will get to a vine. Climb up it.
Out here, climb up all the vines above you until you see an Ace Coin in the
center of the screen. Once you see it, grab it, and then keep climbing the
vines higher and higher (yes, climb all of them you see) until you see another
Ace Coin to the left of the screen (it's near a Snifit and a vase). Once you
see this Ace Coin, grab it, and keep climbing the vines higher until you see
another Ace Coin to the right (so climb all the vines on the right). Once you
see the Ace Coin, grab it and keep climbing the vines until you get to a new
area. In this area, super jump and get the Ace Coin to the right. You will now
get a 1-up for collecting all 5. Now head right and jump over the gap until you
get to a door. Once you get to it, open it and go through. In here, head right
and you will fight a Red Birdo.
****************
Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 3/5
****************
Once the fight starts, pick up the Mushroom Block and then hop on the bird.
Once Birdo isn't directly underneath you, jump onto the platform she's on. On
here, throw the Mushroom Block at her and it should hit her. Now wait for her
to spit out an egg and grab it. Now throw it at her, and it should hit her.
After 3 hits she'll be gone, but just watch out for the fireballs she spits
out. Now pick up the crystal and enter the bird.
Down here, head right and you will fight Mouser.
****************
Boss: Mouser II
Difficulty: 4/5
****************
This boss is pretty hard. Now, the platform Mouser is on is higher and there is
a Spark running around the room this time. He also throws bombs faster too.
Now, wait for the bomb to explode on a spark and then fight Mouser. Now, he is
also better at dodging the bombs, so you'll need to time your throws right.
Once he starts throwing bombs, catch one and get on the platform to the left.
Now jump and try to have it land on the platform he's on. If it explodes in his
range, he'll be hit. Try to get it in the middle of this platform this time
instead of the back of it. Good luck doing this. After 5 hits, he'll be gone,
so enter the door that appears. Play the bonus game if you got any coins.

This is it. The final world. Only one more level to go after this one. Once the
level starts, throw the Giant Shy Guy for a heart, and then grab it. Now use
the clouds to get to a ladder, and then climb it. Up here, head all the way
right until you get to a door, dodging all of the Bob Ombs falling from the
sky. Now, be quick because the floor you're on are dirt blocks, so they'll
diminish if the Bob ombs explode on them. Once you get to a door, open it and
go through. In here, get on the platform above you, and uproot all of the weeds
until you find a potion. Once you find it, throw it at the remaining group of
weeds and enter subspace. In here, uproot all the weeds for coins and then grab
the Mushroom Block if you see it, and then leave the room. Back in here, drop
down to the floor below you, and leave this room. Back out here, wait until a
bird comes from the right of the screen above you, and get on it (use the
platform above you). Ride the bird until you see an Ace Coin. Once you have it,
grab it, and keep riding the bird left until you get to another Ace Coin. Once
you get to this one, grab it. Now keep riding the bird left until you get to a
ladder. To the left of the ladder is a weed. Uproot it for a rocket, and it
will take you to a new area.
In this area, get on the pole to the left. Now super jump and get the Ace Coin,
and head right until you stop at this huge pole. Now, head left and don't jump
and you'll stop at another pole. Head right and you will fall down to a cloud.
On here, head left and you will fall down to another cloud. On here, head right
and you will get to a gap. Jump over it and head right until you get to a
ladder. On here, climb it to a new area. In this area, jump up the platforms
until you get to a ladder (watch out for the Sparks in this area, they are very
annoying). Once you get to a ladder, climb up it. At the top, pick up a
Mushroom Block and use it to get rid of both Sparks. Now, super jump and get
the Ace Coin to the right. Once you get that and the Sparks are gone, stack up
Mushroom Blocks on top of each other and get on the highest one. Super jump to
get on the platform above you. On here, climb up all the ladders until you get
to a door, dodging all of the enemies. Once you get to the door, open it and go
through. In here, head right and fight the Birdo.
*******************
Boss: Green Birdo
Difficulty: 4/5
*******************
This boss is pretty tough because you only have 1 Mushroom Block to attack her
with, so you have to be quick picking it up. Once the fight starts, go to Birdo
and jump on her. Get the Ace Coin above her, and you'll now get a 1-up for
collecting all 5. Now, get the Mushroom Block below you and throw it at Birdo
and it should hit her. Now, wait until she backs off from the block and then
quickly pick it up and throw it at her. This is hard because there are no
hearts in here. If you need a heart, leave the room, uproot the weed for a
heart above you, and enter back in. After 3 hits, she'll be gone. Pick up the
crystal and enter the bird to the final level.

Here we are at the final level. Once the level starts, jump across from cloud
to cloud until you get to a black opening, dodging all of the Snifits. Once you
get to the opening, go through it. In here, ride the conveyor belt until you
see an Ace Coin below you, dodging all of the Shy Guys. Once you see the Ace
Coin, carefully jump over the fire spitting plant to grab it. Now get back on
the conveyor belt and continue right until you get to a chain. Once you get to
a chain, climb up it. Up here, head left and you'll see an Ace Coin in the air.
Super jump to grab it and watch out for the two sparks. Now head left and
you'll see a chain leading into an opening, so climb up it. Up here, climb up
all the chains until you get to a purple platform, dodging all of the Sparks.
Once you get to a purple platform, jump up them until you see two chains. Climb
up the one to the left and you will get to a door. Once you get to it, open it.
Out here, jump in the pit to the left, and stay to the left of the screen until
you see an Ace Coin. Once you see it, grab it, and then get back on the ladder
to the right. Climb it back up to the door, and once you get to it, open it.
Back in here, get on the platform above you. On here, jump up all the platforms
until you get to a chain, dodging all of the sparks. Once you get to a chain,
climb up it to a door. When you get to the door, open it and go through. In
here, super jump to get the Ace Coin above you. Now climb up the chain to the
right and use it to get on the conveyor belt. Duck so you can avoid all of the
Sparks. Once you get to the end of the conveyor belt, climb down the chain to
the right. Down here is a Red Birdo, but ignore it for now and enter the door
to the left. In here, head left until you get to another chain. Climb down it.
Down here is another Red Birdo, but ignore it and head right. Grab the heart if
you need to and climb down the chain.
Down here, fall off the conveyor belt and stay to the left of the screen until
you see an Ace Coin. Once you see it, grab it and you'll get a 1-up for
collecting all 5. Now you have all 100 Ace Coins! Congratulations! Now, use the
conveyor belts to get to the chain at the top of the room, and backtrack to the
room with the first Birdo I mentioned. Now fight it.
******************
Boss: Red Birdo
Difficulty: 3.5/5
******************
Another hard Birdo to fight. You are fighting Birdo on a conveyor belt, and
when the fight starts, stay to the right of her and wait for her to shoot out
an egg. Grab it and throw it at her, and dodge the fireballs she shoots out.
Since the conveyor belt is moving towards you, tap left to stay where you are.
Dodging her eggs and fireballs may be tricky, but it is still hard to beat her.
Once you hit her 3 times with eggs, she will drop a key. Grab it and open the
door. Back out here, throw the key to the left to get rid of the Phantos for a
few seconds. Now pick up the key and head left until you get to a locked door.
Open it. In here, head right and you will get to a crystal. Pick it up and now
you fight another boss.
***************************
Boss: The Flying Bird Face
Difficulty: 2/5
***************************
Once you pick up the crystal, the bird will come off the wall and attack, so
head left and grab one of the two Mushroom Blocks. When the bird comes, throw
it at the bird. Now, once you hit the bird with Mushroom Blocks three times
(stay low, it is hard to dodge if you are higher in the room), it will open, so
enter her mouth. In here, uproot one of the weeds for a heart, head right, and
fight the final boss of the game.
******************
Boss: Wart
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************
This is it. The final boss of the game. Once the fight starts, you'll notice a
vegetable machine that shoots out one vegetable at a time. Wart hates
vegetables. When the vegetable machine shoots out a vegetable, catch it and get
on the platform above you. On here, wait until Wart stops shooting out bubbles,
and count to 2 and a half seconds, and then throw the vegetable at Wart. He
should open his mouth and it should go in, damaging Wart. This is hard to pull
off, but you'll get it after enough practice. If it hits one of the bubbles he
shoots out, it will diminish. Another way is that throw it right when his mouth
opens and it should hit him. If you get hit, uproot one of the weeds to the
left for a heart (there are 4). After you throw 6 vegetables at him, he will be
defeated, so enter the door, and watch the ending. Congratulations! You've
beaten this game!
===========
6. Enemies
===========
Here is a list of enemies you can find throughout the game. Many of the enemies
can be defeated by just throwing an object like an enemy or a vegetable at
them.
Albatoss: These are the red birds that may drop Bob Ombs on you sometimes (I
call these red Fearows). You will need to ride these across the levels or 6-2
and 7-1, and they can be useful in other levels. You cannot pick them up, and
the only way of getting rid of these is to throw something at these. Sometimes
they'll be a pain when they drop the Bob Ombs at you.
Autobomb. These are Shy Guys that ride on machines and that shoot lasers at
you. You can pick up the Shy Guy and throw him off and ride the machine. You'll
need these to get across some pit in World 4, and these can be useful for
avoiding enemies on the ground too. You can throw any objects at these to get
rid of them.
Beezos: These are Golden Shy Guys coming from the heavens above (what I used to
say), but they try to attack you with their pitchforks, making them little
devils from hell. They just come down from the sky and try to attack you, and
then they pass. You can pick these up and throw them, or throw something at
these to get rid of them, but they're hard to hit and it is a waste of time.
But you can get a nice stack of points if you do so.
Bob omb: These are the bombs that like to walk around and explode, so watch
out. Sometimes you may uproot these out of the ground, and you only have a few
seconds to react and throw them. You can throw something at these to get rid of
them, but it just wastes time because they explode. They can also knock out a
few enemies if you're lucky. The albatoss like to drop these on you, so be
careful in some of the levels.
Cobrat: These are snakes (or cobras) that like to appear in the deserts of
Worlds 2 and 6. Some hide in vases and shoot bullets at you when you come up to
them, and they pop out of the ground sometimes and slither around. These can
get really annoying especially if they are close together. You can throw
something at them to get rid of them (or pick them up on their head).
Flurry: These are the little white enemies in World 4, and they can be annoying
sometimes. They like to slip all over the ice and they like chasing you.
Sometimes they can bump into you and hurt you, which can get annoying most of
the time. You can pick them up and throw them or throw any object at the to get
rid of them, but since they slip around the ice all the time they are easy to
miss so don't waste your times hitting these.
Giant Ninjis: These are like Giant Shy Guys. It takes a few seconds to pick
them up and when you throw these, a heart appears, and an unlimited amount of
hearts can come out. These jump around and if you get hit a lot, I wouldn't get
rid of these Ninjis. Also, you can throw anything at them to get rid of them.
Giant Shy Guys: Yep. You guessed it. These are much bigger Shy Guys and they
walk around doing no harm. These take more time to pick up, but if you pick one
of these up and throw them at the ground, a heart will appear. You can get an
unlimited amount, so these are really useful. To get rid of the, throw any
object at these.
Ninjis: These are enemies that like to run around and jump sometimes, so these
are almost like Shy Guys. They don't directly attack you and you can easily
dodge them. Some like to appear in groups and sometimes they don't move and
jump frequently. You can pick them up and throw them or throw any object at
them to get rid of them.
Ostro: These are Shy Guys on flamingos. They like to hop around some of the
levels and they cause no harm to you, but they can get annoying if they are in
larger groups. You can throw the Shy Guy off and ride the flamingo around if
you want to. Or you can throw any object at these to get rid of them.
Panser: These are the really annoying plants that like to spit fire at you in
many of the levels. They mostly appear 1 or 2 in a group and the fire they spit
out can be very hard to dodge sometimes. Also, touching these can hurt you, so
you can't pick them up. Throw any object at these to get rid of them. You'll
thank god you did.
Phantos: These are the ghosts that like to chase you when you pick up a key in
any level. They will swoop down at you and try to attack you as long as you
have the key but they will go away once you use the key. Another trick to
remember is that when you throw the key, they will go away, so you can wait for
a few seconds and then pick it up, and they won't shop up for a while.
Pidgit: These are purple birds that appear on carpets in levels like 1-2 and 3-
1. They like to swoop down at you on their carpets, so jump to dodge them. But
you'll need their carpets to get past stuff, so when they swoop down, jump and
try to land on them. Pick them up and throw them off, and now you can use their
carpets. Use the D-pad to steer them, but watch out. They diminish after a
while, so be quick.
Pokey: These are the green cacti plants in the Worlds 2 and 6 that live to move
around. They have three blocks of cacti on them so you can use them as
platforms to get Ace Coins in the air or something else (don't worry, they
don't hurt). If they appear in large groups, throw anything at them to get rid
of them so you'll have more space to jump around.
Porcupo: These are purple porcupines found in some of the levels. They have all
spikes on their backs so you can't pick them up. Try to avoid these if you can,
but if you have to throw something at them to get rid of them. Most of these
enemies appear in large groups, so watch out.
Shy Guy: You will find these in many of the levels. They are in two colors, in
red and blue. The blue Shy Guys will always walk around on the platform and
stay where it is, but the red Shy Guys will fall off the platforms they are on
when they are on the ground. Throw any object at these to get rid of them.
Snifit: These are really annoying enemies in most of the levels. They like to
shoot bullets at you and they appear in groups in the later levels, especially
World 7. They are really annoying and sometimes they may be tricky and hard to
dodge. You can pick these up and throw them at something or throw something at
them to get rid of them. Or you can try and jump past these if they are low
enough.
Sparks: These are really annoying enemies that like to slide around on
platforms, and they are electric, so them shocking you hurts you. Touching this
also hurts you, and these are annoying in levels like 7-2 and 3-3. Also, some
move faster than others, so you may need to jump platform to platform
correctly. To get rid of these, throw something at them and they should be
gone.
Trouters: These are fish that like to jump out of the water in levels with
waterfalls. In World 5-1, you use these fish to hop from platform to platform
because the gaps are too big. Sometimes these are useful, sometimes they are
annoying. Throw any enemy or object at them to get rid of them. You can also
pick it up, but doing so causes you to fall in the waterfall and you lose a
life.
Tweeter: These are the birds on the ground that like to hop around, and these
may be annoying sometimes. They don't directly attack you, but you can throw
anything at them to get rid of them. Since these jump around, you can use these
to get on higher platforms and super jump off them.
===================
7. Yoshi Challenge
===================
Here are where you can find the eggs in the Yoshi Challenge. I will give a
walkthrough for each level. Note that you must FINISH the level for the eggs to
be counted, so good luck on many of the levels.
----------
World 1-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, fall down all the platforms and you'll get to
the door below you, so open it. In here, head all the way right and you will
get to a vine. Climb up it. At the top, uproot the first weed for a potion. Now
drop down to the ground to your right. Down here, throw the potion next to the
vine and enter subspace. In subspace, wait and the egg will fall down from the
sky. Grab it and then leave subspace.
Egg 2: From egg #1, head all the way right until you get to a door, jumping
over the gaps, waterfalls, and avoiding all of the enemies. Once you get to the
door, open it. In here, climb up the vine to the left. At the top, head right
and leave this room. Out here, head right and climb up the vine you'll get to.
Up here, hop up all the platforms until you see a vase to the left. Once you
see the vase, enter it. In here, uproot the weed on the left for a potion, and
do not throw it. Leave the vase while holding the potion. Out here, get on the
cloud above you. On here, throw the potion, and enter subspace. You should see
the egg on the green platform to the right, so pick it up.
----------
World 1-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and throw the Pidgit off the
carpet. Now ride it across the large gap and then get on the ground below you.
On here, you will see two vases. Uproot the weed to the left of the first vase
for a potion. Now head right and jump over both vases, and throw the potion to
the right of the second vase, and then enter subspace. In here, the egg should
fall from above, so grab it and leave subspace. For a weird reason, this shows
up as the second egg to the left of the screen.
Egg 2: From egg 1, enter the vase and grab the key, and then get out of the
vase. Run right to the locked door and enter it. In here, head right until you
get to the dirt blocks, jumping over the gaps. Once you get to the dirt blocks,
uproot the weeds for bombs and then throw it at the dirt blocks. It will
explode, so go through the new opening. Get rid of the Snifit and climb up the
ladder. Uproot the first weed for a potion. Now, place it right next to the
ladder and press L a few times so you can see below you. Now enter subspace. In
here, the egg is on the platform below you, so climb down the ladder and grab
the egg.
----------
World 1-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right until you see a log used as a
platform. To the left of the log are two weeds. Uproot the second one for a
potion and then get on the platform below the log. Down here, jump over the gap
and get on the platform with 3 Ninjis. Throw the potion on that platform and
enter subspace. In here, grab the egg and it will be right there.
Egg 2: From egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a door, jumping over
all of the gaps and platforms and jumping throw the waterfalls. Once you get to
a door, open it and go through. In here, climb up the chain and get on the
platform to your right. On here, use the Mushroom Blocks to get on the platform
above you. On here, climb up the chains to the right. At the top, enter the
vase to the right. In here, uproot the weed on the left for a potion, and then
leave the vase. Back out here, get on the bigger platform to the left, and then
super jump to get on the platform above you. On here, throw the potion and
enter subspace. In here, the egg should be right on or next to you, so grab it.
----------
World 2-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head all the way right until you get to a gold
platform. On the gold platform are 4 weeds and there is a quicksand to the
right of it. Uproot the first weed on the platform for a potion and get to the
edge of the platform so you'll be next to the quicksand. Throw it at the edge
of the platform and enter subspace. In here, the egg will fall into the
quicksand so jump in it and quickly grab it before it sinks away. Otherwise,
start the level over.
Egg 2: From Egg 1 go all the way right until you get to a door on the pyramid.
To the right of the pyramid is a weed. Uproot it for a potion and then go all
the way back to the gold platform with a Panser (a fire spitting plant) on it.
Throw the potion on the platform and enter subspace. The egg is at the top of
the platform, so grab it.
----------
World 2-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, get on the higher platforms and go through the
door. Out here, head all the way right until you see a door. It is just after
the second Ace Coin where the fast quicksand is and where the falling bones
are. It is also near a large group of vases with Cobrats in them. Once you find
the door, open it. In here, uproot the first weed for a bomb on the platform
below you to the right. Now, super jump back onto the platform above you, and
then throw the bomb at the dirt blocks before it explodes on you. Once you get
rid of the dirt blocks, go through the new opening. Now head left and you will
get to a gold platform. Uproot the weed in the middle for a potion. Now head
all the way back right until you stop at a wall. Now, throw the potion and
enter subspace. In here, the egg should be right next to you so grab it.
Egg 2: Once you have egg one, super jump back to the platform with the door on
it and then leave. Back out here, head all the way right until you get to a
vine, and then climb down it. Down here, keep digging all of the sand blocks
and stay to the left of the screen until you get to a vase. The vase is in
between two weeds, so uproot the one on the left for a potion. Now super jump
to get back on the sand blocks and go all the way back to the top of this room
where the vine is. Once you get to the top, throw the potion and enter
subspace. In here, the egg will be right next to you.
----------
World 2-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, climb up the ladder. At the top, uproot the
first weed on the right for a potion. See those gold blocks to your left? Throw
it at them and then enter the door. The egg should be right there. Easy, isn't
it?
Egg 2: From egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a door leading
inside a pyramid. In here, fall down the right gap and try to stay in the
center of the screen, and then you should land on a platform. On here, uproot
the weed on the left for a potion, and throw it on the same platform you're on,
and then enter subspace. In here, the egg is on the same platform, so grab it.
----------
World 3-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right until you get to a door. Open it
and go through. In here, fall down the large waterfall and try to land on the
platform in the center of the area. On here, open the door and go through. In
here, go right and you will get to a large group of weeds. Uproot the 6th one
to the right for a potion and head right with it. Throw it next to the vase and
enter subspace. In here, grab the egg falling.
Egg 2: From Egg 1, enter the door to the right of the vase and you'll be back
above the waterfall to the left. On here, climb up all the clouds until you get
to Pidgit. Once he swoops down at you, throw him off the carpet and ride it to
a vine, and then climb it. Up here, head right and you will see two weeds on a
green platform. Uproot the one on the left for a potion, and then get on the
cloud above the platform. On here, throw the potion and enter subspace. The egg
will be right on you, so jump and grab it.
----------
World 3-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head all the way right until you stop at a
wall, jumping over all of the platforms and dodging all of the enemies. Once
you stop at a wall, get rid of the Snifit and then get on the green platform
above you. On here, uproot the first weed for a potion, and then throw it next
to the dirt blocks to the left, and then enter subspace. The egg is sitting
right on the dirt blocks. Another easy one.
Egg 2: From Egg 1, uproot one of the weeds next to the dirt blocks for a bomb
and then throw it on top of the dirt blocks, so they should explode, so go
through the new opening. Down here, climb down the ladder to the left. Down
here, get past all the dirt blocks using the bombs in this area, and then head
left and climb up the ladder. Back out here, head left and climb back down the
ladder. Down here, jump across all of the gaps and climb up the ladder you will
get to. Up here, head left and climb back down the ladder. Down here, head left
and uproot one of the weeds for a bomb. Just when it is about to explode, throw
it down the small gap to the left and it should explode right on the dirt
blocks, so go through the new opening. In here, head all the way left and you
will get to an area with 4 weeds and two sets of dirt blocks. Uproot the
farthest left one and place it on the dirt blocks to the left and they should
explode. Now uproot the farthest weed on the white for a potion and throw it
near the dirt blocks to the left, and enter subspace. The egg where be below
the exploded dirt blocks, so hop down and grab it.
----------
World 3-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and hop on the higher platforms.
Now go through the door and you'll be outside. Out here, head right and hop
past the 3 small pillars you'll see. After the third pillar is a POW Block and
4 weeds. Uproot the farthest one on the right is a potion and then throw it
near the 3 pillars, and then enter subspace. The egg is sitting on the third
pillar, so grab it.
Egg 2: From egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a door. Once you get
to the door, open it and go through. In here, head left and climb up the
ladder. Now hop right across the platforms until you get to a door, and then
open it and go through. In here, get to a door at the top of the room, and then
open it. Now grab the key and leave. Get back to the door at the bottom part of
the room and leave. Back in here, drop down to the floor below you with the
key, and head left to the locked door, then unlock it and open it. In here,
keep getting higher jumping up all the platforms in this room until you see a
door to the right. Once you see the door, skip it and get on the big platform
to the left of it. On here, get to the top of the platform (you may have to
take a hit), and you'll see two ladders. Climb the one on the right to get on a
platform. On here, uproot the weed on the right for a heart (second to the
right of the ladder), and then get on the higher platform to the right. On
here, uproot the weed for a potion and jump back into the gap to the left and
land on the big platform. Throw the potion at the top of it and enter subspace.
The egg should be right next to you. Once you leave, all of the Sparks should
be gone around you.
----------
World 4-1
----------
Egg 1: When starting the level, press L until the screen pushes upward so you
can see higher in the level. Now, head all the way right until you see a heart
floating above a platform. Below that platform is one weed. Wait for the
Flurries to pass by, and try to get them in the gap. Now uproot the weed for a
potion and head right. You will see a fish jumping out of the water and over
the platform. Throw the platform to the right of the fish and enter subspace.
In here, the egg should fall right next to you, so grab it.
Egg 2: From egg 1, head all the way right until you get above the platform with
the weed that is a rocket which takes you upward. On the platform above the
weed with the rocket are two extra weeds. Uproot the one on the left and throw
it near the edge of the platform to the right. Press L so you can see the
platform below you better, and then enter subspace. In here, the egg is on the
platform below you so grab it carefully by jumping down to it.
----------
World 4-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and climb up the ladder. Up here,
head right jumping over all of the platforms and dodging all of the enemies
until you get to a door. Once you get to a door, open it and go through. In
here, get on the whale below you. Now jump on the whale to the left. On the
whale are 3 weeds. Uproot the one on the left for the potion (ouch, that's
gotta kill for the whale), and then jump back on the whale to the right. On
here, throw it to the left of the water sprout on the whale and then enter
subspace. The egg should be right next to you, so grab it.
Egg 2: From egg 1, hop across from whale to whale until you see a 1-up bubble
on one of the whale's tale. To the right of the whale are three pillars, each
of them have 3 weeds on them. Get on the third one and uproot the weed on the
right for a potion, and then throw it right where you are (make sure it doesn't
fall in the gap), and then enter subspace. In here, you should see the egg on
the stairs made of ice, so grab it.
----------
World 4-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, climb up the ladder to the right and enter the
door. Out here, get on the platform above you. On here, uproot the first weed
for a potion and then head left. You will get to three pillars. Throw the egg
next to them and enter subspace. The egg is on the highest one, so super jump
to get onto it if you need to, and then grab it.
Egg 2: From egg 1, head right until you get to the Pink Birdo. Get to the right
of her and wait for her to shoot out an egg. Now get on it and ride it across
the very large gap. At the end, head right and you will get to a door. Open it
and go through. In here, climb up all of the platforms, dodging all of the
Flurries until you get to a door. Once you get to a door, open it and go
through. In here, uproot the first weed to the right for a potion, and then
head left. Hop on the cloud and then super jump to get on the cloud above you.
Next to you is a tower. Throw the potion on the cloud you're on and then enter
subspace. In here, the egg is on the first stone of the tower, so grab it.
----------
World 5-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right, and then drop back down to the
floor below you. Down here, hop across the gaps left until you get to a door.
Once you get to a door, open it and go through. In here, head right. Uproot the
second weed for a potion and then jump across the gap. On here, super jump and
then get on the platform above you. On here, use the logs to get across the
waterfall and then you will be on a platform. On here, use the jumping fish to
get across this waterfall. On this platform, get on the one next to you, and
then throw the potion on the platform you're on, and then enter subspace. The
egg should be right next to you, so grab it.
Egg 2: From egg 1, go all the way right jumping across all of the platforms
until you see Ace Coin 5 in a gap (use my Walkthrough if you forgot where it
was). Get on the platform to the right of the Ace Coin. On here, there is a
waterfall with two logs. Get on the second one and super jump. Hold right in
the air and you should land on top of a secret platform. Head right and fall in
the first small gap, and uproot the Mushroom Block. Now, down here, throw the
Mushroom Block to the right and uproot the first weed for a potion. Throw it
right next to you where you fell down the gap, and then enter subspace. In
here, the Egg should fall down where you uprooted the Mushroom Block, so grab
it.
----------
World 5-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and you will get to a level, so
climb up it. Up here, head all the way right until you get to a vase. Once you
get to a vase, enter it. Down here, uproot the weed for a bomb and throw it on
top of the dirt blocks, and wait for it to explode. Once it explodes, fall in
the new opening. Down here, uproot the weed to the right for a potion, and then
leave the vase. Back out here, head all the way right until you get to a fire
spitting plant on a pillar (use the bugs if you need to). Once you see the fire
spitting plant on the pillar, throw the potion on the platform to the left of
the first pillar, and then enter subspace. In here, the Egg will be on the
first pillar, so grab it.
Egg 2: From Egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a vine. Once you get
to it, climb it, and keep climbing until you see two Snifits. Jump on the one
to the right. Pick him up and throw him off the ledge. Now uproot the weed he
was standing on for a potion. From where you are wait for a ladybug to climb up
the vine. Once you see one, hop on it and it will take you all the way to the
top of the room where a cloud and a door is. Throw the potion on the cloud next
to the door and enter subspace. In here, the egg should be right next to you,
so grab it.
----------
World 5-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and climb up the ladder. At the
top, head right and you will get to a group of 3 weeds. Uproot the first one
for a potion and then continue right until you see a heart floating in the air
on top of a log. Now, throw the egg into the pit left of the log and then enter
subspace. The egg should be in this pit, so grab it.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This level is really annoying, so having an extra heart is useful. From egg
one, head all the way right until you stop at a dirt blocks. There are a few
bob ombs next to them, so lure one to the dirt blocks and have them explode.
Now get on the platform above you and uproot the second weed for a potion. Get
back on the ground below you to the left and enter the new opening. In here,
throw the potion and enter subspace. Grab the much needed Mushroom for this
level.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Egg 2: From the mushroom/Egg 1, continue all the way right until you get to the
edge of a log, and then drop down to the platform below you. Down here, head
left until you get to a ladder, and then climb down it. Down here, get the
Mushroom Block off the vase to the right, and throw it away from the vase. Bob
ombs will start coming out, so lure them left to the dirt blocks on the ground.
Try to have them explode on the dirt blocks, and once you get that done, throw
the Mushroom Block back on the vase so no more Bob Ombs will come out. Now,
jump in the new hole and head all the way left until you get to a dirt block
set. Uproot the weed next to it for a bomb and place it next to the dirt block.
Once it explodes, go all the way right and uproot the farthest weed on the
right for a potion. Now head left, go through the new opening, and get on the
platform above you. On here, throw the potion next to where the dirt blocks
used to be (or if one is still there) and enter subspace. The egg is right next
to where the dirt blocks were, so grab it.
----------
World 6-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right until you come to a vase, and watch
out for the Cobrat in the vase. Throw him out of the vase and enter it. Down
here, uproot the weed for a potion and then leave the vase. Back out here, get
on the skeleton to the right. On here, throw the potion on the skeleton and
enter subspace. In here, the egg will fall into the quicksand, so grab it
before it goes away.
Egg 2: From egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a door, dodging
everything in your way. Once you get to a door, open it and go through. In
here, head all the way right until you get to a locked door. Once you get to a
locked door, uproot the weed on the right on top of it for a potion. Now, head
left to that large group of vases. 3 Mushroom Blocks are covering 3 separate
vases. Throw the potion to the left of the second Mushroom Block and enter
subspace. In here, the egg should fall near the Mushroom Block, so grab it.
----------
World 6-2
----------
Egg 1: This is probably the most annoying level for Eggs out of all of them.
Once you start the level, head all the way right, super jumping onto platforms
until you get to a door, and then go through it. Out here, hop on one of the
birds flying left and wait for a bird to come fly right. Once you see one, hop
on a bird flying right and ride it all the way right until you get to a pillar.
Once you get to two small platforms next to each other, hop on the first one
and uproot the first weed for a potion. Now, throw it on the platform you're on
and enter subspace. In here, the egg should be right next to you, so grab it.
Egg 2: Here is the real annoying part. Now, wait for a bird that's flying to
the left to come and ride it all the way back to the start. Now, open the door
and go back outside. This will make the weed containing the potion come back.
Now, wait for a bird that's flying to the right and hop on it until you get to
that same platform. Once you get to it, uproot the same weed for a potion and
wait for another bird flying to the right to come. Once you see one, hop on it
(or get on the one you were just on before it disappears) and fly it all the
way right until you get to the end of the level, still holding onto the potion.
Once you get to the end of this area, you will be on a platform with 5 Ninjis
on it. Get on it and head left onto the other platform. On here, throw the
potion on this platform and enter subspace. In here, the egg will be right next
to you, so grab it.
----------
World 6-3
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, climb up the ladder above you. At the top,
uproot the first weed for a potion, and then head right until you get to a
skeleton. Skip it and get onto the second one. On here, there are two cacti
platforms to the right. Try to throw the potion ON TOP of either one and then
enter subspace. The egg will fall in between the two cacti platforms and into
the quicksand very fast, so grab it before it's too late!
Egg 2: From Egg 1, head all the way right until you get to a door. Once you get
to a door, open it and go through. In here, head all the way right until you
are stopped at a dirt block. Uproot one of the weeds to the left for a bomb and
place it next to the blocks. Once it explodes, go through the new opening and
head right. Use the weeds for bombs to get past all of these sets of dirt
blocks and then head right. You will be at a ladder, so climb it down. Down
here, head right and climb up the vine. Up here, climb up all the vines until
you see a vase on the right. Once you see the vase, enter it. In here, uproot
the weed for a potion and then leave the vase. On here, hop on the cloud to the
left and throw it on the cloud you're on, and enter subspace. In here, the egg
is right next to you, so grab it.
----------
World 7-1
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, use the clouds to get to the ladder above you,
and then climb it. At the top, head all the way right past all of the Bob ombs
and birds until you get to a bird. Once you get to a door, there is a vase with
Shy Guys popping out of it to the left. Uproot the weed to the left of the Shy
Guy vase for a potion, and go in the pit of dirt blocks to the left of the
vase. Throw the potion in the pit and enter subspace. The Egg should be near
the middle of the dirt block pit, so grab it.
Egg 2: From Egg 1, try to dodge all of bob ombs being released at you once you
leave subspace. Now, get on one of the birds flying to the left, and ride it
until you get to a ladder. To the left of the ladder is a pole and to the left
of the pole is a weed. Uproot the weed for a rocket and you'll be in a new
area. Up here, head all the way right and get through the series of clouds and
gaps to reach the ladder. Once you get to the ladder, climb up it. Now this is
the annoying part. Up here, get through the series of ladders, Sparks, and
clouds until you get to two poles. Both have a weed on them and the one on the
left has a Snifit. Uproot the weed on the right pole for a potion. Now get on
the pole to the left and throw it onto the cloud the pole is on. On here, enter
subspace and the egg should be right on you, so grab it.
----------
World 7-2
----------
Egg 1: Once you start the level, head right and go through the door. In here,
go all the way right until you get to the end of the room, getting past the
conveyor belts, enemies, and grabbing any hearts if you need to. At the end of
the room is a chain, so climb it. Up here, head left and climb the last chain
in this room. Grab the heart to the left of the chain if you need to. Up here,
climb up all the chains, dodging all of those annoying Sparks until you get to
a purple platform. Once you get to one, there will be two more above it, and
the top ones have Sparks on them. Now there is also a chain to the left and
right. Climb up the left chain and you will get to a door, so open it and go
through. Out here, fall all the way down to the lowest part of this area and
climb down the ladder to a door. Down here, open the door and go through. In
here, uproot the weed on the right for a potion, and throw it to the right of
the door, and then enter subspace. The egg is on the pillar to the right of the
door, so grab it.
Egg 2: This is a really annoying egg. Now, backtrack all the way back to the
large conveyor belt room WITHOUT BEING KILLED. Back in here, starting from
where the chain is, head left until you get to a chain, and the chain is next
to the fire spitting plant. Once you see the chain, climb down it. Down here,
you will have to do something really annoying. Keep uprooting all of the
Mushroom Blocks that are in rows until you get to the bottom of the room,
dodging all of those annoying Sparks, so uproot them when they're out of the
way, and throw them at the Sparks if you need to. At the bottom of the room is
a door. Open it and go through. In here is another annoying room filled with
more chains and sparks. How wonderful. Now, progress right until you get to a
door. Once you get to a door, open it and go through. In here, head left and
you will get to two weeds. Uproot the one on the left for a potion and then go
back where the door was. Throw the weed at the end of the platform you're on
and enter subspace. The egg should be at the edge of the platform, so pick it
up. Good luck trying to beat Wart without killing yourself!

8. Unlockables and Secrets
===========================
Here is a list of unlockables and secrets found in the game.
------------
Unlockables
------------
Yoshi Challenge: Beat the game (doesn't matter what character and you don't
have to get all Ace Coins) and you will be able to play the Yoshi Challenge in
the file you cleared. Also, a Yoshi Egg will appear on the title screen. There
are 2 Yoshi Eggs in each level (making a total of 40), and all of them are
hidden in subspace. If you lose a life, you'll lose the Yoshi Eggs you
collected in the level so you'll need to beat the level and be careful.
Yoshi on the title screen: To hatch the Yoshi Egg, collect all 40 Eggs in the
Yoshi Challenge. A Yoshi will now be on the title screen.
Change the Yoshi from green to red: Collect all 100 Ace Coins in the game (you
can beat it and collect any uncollected ones), and then the Yoshi at the title
screen will change from green to red.
Mario Heads: In one of your files, if you get 2 million points, a Mario head
will appear at the bottom of the screen when you select a file. Each 2 million
points you will get another Mario head. You can have 5 at maximum, which means
getting 10,000,000 points.
--------
Secrets
--------
Bald Birdo: This can only be done with a red or green Birdo. Whenever you fight
a green or red Birdo, you can jump on it and use B to take off her bow. Birdo
is bald! You can throw it off the screen to fight a bald Birdo. Or if you throw
it back at her, it will land on her head.
Reverse the Mario Heads: Just because you can only get 5 Mario heads for 10
million points doesn't mean that it stops there. Every 2 million points you get
after that will flip one of the Mario heads so it is facing in the opposite
direction. You can flip all the Mario heads only once, so that means you can
flip all 5 by getting 20 million points (10 million more).
Knock out Birdo in 1 hit: In World 4-2, near the end of the level is an
Autobomb you need to ride to get across a spike pit. In the middle of the spike
pit are 4 cherries. If you collected at least 1 before that, collect all of the
other cherries and then wait for a star to appear. Once you see the star, grab
it and run right to the door. Enter the door and run right until you get to
Birdo. If you are still Invincible, run into Birdo and you should knock her
out. Really useful trick I found.
Easy way to beat Tryclyde: In World 2-3, the boss (Tryclyde) can be easily
defeated in 1 hit. First, there is a Tweeter hopping around the room, and those
bounce off anything. Once the fight starts, pick up the Tweeter and get on the
highest platform. On here, throw it on the wall Tryclyde is in front of. If it
hits the wall, it will bounce right off, and it will keep hitting Tryclyde
until he is defeated (3 times). Once the Tweeter bounces off and hits him 3
times, you've beaten World 2 easily.
-----------
Warp Zones
-----------
Warp to World 4: In World 1-3, head all the way right until you get to the
first door of the level. From here, go back left and jump over the first gap.
From here, you will see three weeds on top of a log and 2 of them below the
log. Get rid of all of the enemies and then go below the log. Pick up the
second weed to the left and it will be a potion. Now, carrying the potion, go
all the way right to the door. To the right of the door is a vase. Throw the
potion near the vase and it will create the door. Enter the door to enter
Subspace. In Subspace, enter the vase and you will be taken to World 4.
Warp to World 5: In World 3-1, enter the door at the start. Now fall down that
very large gap until you get to the door in the middle of the platform. In
here, open the door. In here, head right and you will get to all those weeds I
mentioned. Uproot the 6th one to the right for a potion and head right. You
will get to a vase. Throw the potion next to the vase and enter subspace. In
subspace, go down the vase and you will be warped to World 5.
Warp to World 6: In World 4-2, start the level by going up the vine. Up here,
head all the way right to the door at the other side of the level. Open the
door and you'll be in the whale area, where they shoot water sprouts. Get on
the whale below you and jump onto the whale to your left. On here, uproot the
weed on the left for the potion. Now, carrying the potion, hop from whale to
whale until you see a small platform with a vase on it. Throw the potion on the
platform and the door will be created. Go through the door to enter Subspace.
In Subspace, enter the vase to enter World 6.
Warp to World 7: Once you start the level at World 5-3, head right and climb up
the ladder. Up here, head right and you will get to a group of 3 weeds. Uproot
the first one for a potion. Now see all those birds dropping Bob ombs? Wait for
one to fly to the right and hop on its back. Now get on the platform you will
come to that is above the ladder. On here, grab the Ace Coin if you want to but
throw the potion next to the vase, and then enter subspace. In here, head down
the vase and you will be warped to World 7.
----------------
Level Shortcuts
----------------
These are really useful shortcuts I found in some levels.
Shortcut in Level 1-2:
Peach is the best at doing this, although Luigi may be able to do this with his
high jump. Once the level starts, throw the Pidgit off the carpet and get on
it. Ride the carpet across the gap and keep riding it across the land until it
starts flashing, and stay at the top part of the screen. Once it starts
flashing, jump off and float all the way right until you try to get on that
large platform above the locked door(it is too high to get from on the ground,
even with super jumping). Head all the way right and you will get to the door
leading Birdo. Yep, you skipped the whole level.
Shortcut in Level 4-3:
This is Peach only. Once the level starts, climb up the ladder and head right.
Use one of the eggs Birdo shoots out and ride across the very long gap. At the
end of the gap, jump over the small one to the right and continue right.
Instead of going through the door, go right to the edge of the platform. At the
very edge of it, super jump and then float all the way right in the air. You
should land on another platform. On here, continue right to open the door, and
go through. In here, pick up the crystal and enter the door, and fight the
boss. Another huge shortcut saving you from a lot of trouble.
======================
9. Mario Bros. Arcade
======================
------------
How to Play
------------
Mario Bros. Arcade was included in all four Super Mario Advance games. It is a
game where you must knock out all enemies to win the phase. Here are the rules,
controls, and so fourth below.
To play Mario Bros, load up your Super Mario Advance game. Then, when you get
to the game selection screen (when you pick between Super Mario Bros. 2 and
Mario Bros.), select Mario Bros. Then, press Start to begin the game.
First, here's a map of what every Phase looks like:
XL
--------- R ______ R
| |
__ | POW | __
_________| |P |______| P| |_________
|I I|
_________ |P P| _________
|__|E E|__|
-------------------------------- --------------------------------
G G
---------- ----------------------------------- ---------

| |
| POW |
|______|
G __ __ G
_________| |P P| |_________
|I I|
_________ |P P| _________
|__|E X E|__|
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note that on any floor, if you are on the far left/right part of that floor,
you can walk right/left through the edge of the screen and you'll appear at the
other side of the floor you're on. This can be useful for many things.
Also remember that you can't enter any of the four pipes. Only enemies can. If
they enter a pipe at the top of the screen, they'll come out of a pipe at the
bottom of the screen and vise versa. Enemies will ALWAYS enter the pipes, so
the area behind the pipes can be used for protection (so use them as an
advantage), but you are still vulnerable to an icicle/fireball attack, so watch
out.
Key:
X: Mario's Starting Point
XL: Where Mario Starts when he loses a life on that phase
G: Where Green Fireballs go. They appear at random times, and they slither
across the screen and then disappear.
R: Where Red Fireballs appear. They will not disappear until you hit them. They
bounce around the top part of the map and sometimes they may be able to bounce
onto the ledge below the top ledge, so watch out.
PIPE: At the top of the screen, that's where enemies and coins come out of. At
the bottom, undefeated enemies hop in, and they reappear at the top.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to defeat enemies:
Get on the platform below them, and when the enemy is directly above you, jump
on the ledge above you and it will knock certain enemies over, and they will be
laying on their back. Then get on the platform they're on, and while they're
still on their back, just bump the enemy to defeat it.
Hint: You can bump the POW blocks from the bottom, stunning any enemy on the
level (except Crabs). The enemies will be flipped over, and touching the POW
block will get rid of icicles, fireballs, and will flip enemies over.
How to clear phases:
Defeat all the main enemies in that phase. You will advance to the next phase.
Read my enemies section to see what enemies you will need to defeat.
The Bonus Games:
The Bonus Games are on these Phases: 4, 9, and every Phase 7 after Phase 9. On
Bonus Games, you must collect all 10 coins visible in 20 seconds to win. When
you collect all the coins, you will earn a 1-Up, and a point bonus. On Phase 4,
the floors are normal. On Phase 9, the floors are made up of ice. All Bonus
Games after Phase 9 have invisible floors, so study up on the invisible floors.
Also, on Phase 4, the point bonus is 3000, and 5000 on all other Phases. Also
on Phases 16 (and all other bonus games after that), you will only have 15
seconds to collect all the coins, and remember that these bonus games have
invisible floors too.
Here's a little summary of what happens as the game goes one:
Phase 1: Spinies, Green and Red Fireballs Introduced
Phase 4: Bonus Game (normal type)
Phase 5: Crabs Introduced
Phase 7: Fighter Flies Introduced
Phase 9: Bonus Stage (Ice Ledges)
Phase 10: Freezies Introduced
Phase 16: Bonus Game (invisible ledges)
Phase 17: Icicles fall from ledges, top floor frozen
Phase 20: 2 Icicles now fall from ledges
Phase 23: Bonus Game (invisible ledges)
Phase 24: Enemies recover twice as quicker
Phase 30: Bonus Game (invisible ledges)
Phase 31: 3 icicles now fall from the ledges
Phase 37: Bonus Game (invisible ledges, these continue every 7 Phases)
Phase 40: 4 icicles now fall from ledges
Phase 99: Phase counting stops, every Phase is now 99 when you beat this Phase
---------
Controls
---------
D-Pad: Move (Left: Go Left; Up: Nothing; Down: Duck; Right; Go Right)
A: Jump; select things when paused
B (Held, while moving): Run; pick up a POW Block (and throw them)
L: Move screen up and down
Start: Pause game
Down + A: Super Jump (to do a Super Jump, hold Down until you see Mario flash.
Then, jump. Mario's jump will be much higher than usual).
--------
Enemies
--------
So, after you flip enemies over, you kick them off the level by touching them
on the platform their on. But if you're too late to kick them, they'll be on
their feet again, on a new color, and they will be faster too. Starting from
Phase 24, enemies will recover much quicker once they're flipped over.
Enemies you must defeat to win the phase:
Spiny: The first enemy you'll see. These are slow, and all you need to do is
flip them over and kick them off the screen. After a few seconds once you've
flipped them, they will recover, and they will turn green (then blue), and they
will be faster. First found in Phase 1.
Crab: In order to defeat these enemies, you'll need to bump them twice to flip
them over. Then go and kick these over. Crabs are also a lot faster than
Spinys. Just like Spinys, they will turn green when they recover from being
flipped, and if that happens again, he'll be blue. First found in Phase 5.
Fighter Flies: Slower than Crabs, but these jump around for movement. When
flipped over, these can recover faster than usual. When recovering, they go
green, then pink. They can only be flipped over when they land on the ground.
First found in Phase 7.
Enemies that you don't need to defeat:
Freezies: These are made up of ice. If you're not quick enough, these can
Freeze up a floor. First found in Phase 10. So, you can still get rid of these
and earn points.
Green Fireballs: These annoying suckers can be found in any phase. They
randomly pop up on any side on the screen above a platform. Then, when these
get to the other end of the screen, they disappear. Just like Fighter Flies,
they move up and down during movement, so you'll need to time your jumps right
to dispose of these.
Red Fireballs: Just like Green Fireballs, they appear at any phase and they
appear on random times. Except these won't disappear unless you time your jumps
good to bump these. Sometimes, these will go fast.
Icicle: Ok, these aren't really enemies. Starting at Phase 17, these fall from
ledges. In order to get rid of these so they won't fall, hit the small circle
on the ledge before it becomes an icicle, and then it will go away. You won't
get any points for defeating these.
--------
Scoring
--------
For every 150,000 points you get in this game, a star will appear above the
Mario Bros. title at the game selection screen (where you pick between Mario
Bros. and Super Mario Brothers 3). You get up to 5 stars maximum (750,000
points needed). Also, the maximum score is 999,990. Here are score totals:
Green Fireballs
Points earned when defeating: 200
Red Fireballs
Points earned when defeating: 1000
Fighter Flies, Crabs, Spinys
Points earned when defeating any of these enemies: 800
Freezys
Points earned when defeating: 500
Clearing Bonus Game (Phase 4)
Total Points Earned: 11,000
Clearing any other Bonus Game
Total Points Earned: 13,000
Flipping an enemy over
Total Points Earned: 10
Knocking out 2, 3, or 4 enemies in a row
Points Earned: 1,600, 2,400, 3,200 (anything after that is still 3,200, and you
will earn 1-Ups too)
Grabbing a Coin
Points: 800
To get a coin, you'll need to defeat an enemy, and a coin will come out of the
pipe.
--------------------
Using the Pow Block
--------------------
In every phase, there will be a POW Block at both the bottom and top of the
phase. When you hit these from the bottom, the POW Block will stun any enemies
in its path, collect all the coins visible, get rid of icicles, get rid of
Freezies, and un-stun any stunned enemies. Once you hit the same POW Block 3
times, that POW Block will disappear, and it will comeback in the next Bonus
Game. You can also pick up POW Blocks too. You have to get on top of that POW
Block, and press B. You will pick it up. Press B again to throw it. When you
are carrying a POW Block, you can get to another location on that Phase and
throw it. It still will do its effects.
------------
Multiplayer
------------
In order to play Multiplayer, you will need these things:
1 GameBoy Advance Link Cable (2 for 3 player, 3 for 4 player)
2-4 GameBoy Advances (they can be a GBAsp)
2-4 Game paks (any Mario Advance game, they all have Mario Bros, and you can
also use Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga too)
**************************
How to play Multiplayer:
**************************
Connect all the Link Cables (the one with the purple end connected to his/her
GameBoy is Player 1, and you connect the other purple ends to the part that
allows you to link up other Link Cables). Then, at the screen before the game
selection screen, Player one will select Multiplayer.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Single Pak: It is possible to play Mario Bros. multiplayer with only 1 game
pak. The GameBoy Advance Link Cable's purple end must be connected to the
GameBoy Advance with the game in it. Then, turn on the game and configure your
settings, then turn on the other GameBoy(s). On the loading page, you should
see Mario running across the screen (when he gets to the other side it's done),
and the game begins (this is also slower because of only use of 1 game pak.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then, Player one will set up the game settings: Here are the settings:
Classic (Cooperative play with 2-4 players)
Battle (Battle with 2-4 players)
If Player 1 selects Classic, he/she won't need to set any settings. If Player
one selects battle, he/she sets these settings:
Difficulty: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Different enemies appear depending on the
difficulty.
Handicap: Player 1 will select how many coins players will begin with at the
start.
Fireballs: Player 1 will select if there will be fireballs or not.
While Player 1 is selecting the options, the other players must wait until
he/she is finished. Once Player 1 is done and starts the game, the game will
show you which player you are, and then you start.
If you are having trouble playing Multiplayer:
1. You are using something other than a GameBoy Advance Link Cable on any of
your connections.
2. There is a loose connection in a socket.
3. One of the players may have turned off the power.
***************
Classic Mode:
***************
Classic Mode can be played with 2-4 players. Classic Mode is like Cooperative
Play, and all of the players must defeat all of the enemies to win. Just like
single player, you go through the 99 Phases together with your friends.
**************
Battle Mode:
**************
In Battle Mode, the first player up to 5 coins wins (you can get coins by
beating enemies, and then a coin will come out of a pipe). When playing with 2
Players, there will be a Garbage Can at the bottom of the screen. When someone
jumps in the Garbage Can, they must keep pressing A to get out. They will come
out with an item. Here are the possible items:
Fish-bones: If you get this, throw these away. These do nothing.
Koopa Shells: When you throw a Koopa Shell (by pressing B), it will defeat any
enemies in its way and shrink/defeat players.
POW Block: By throwing these, these will stun anything that are on the
platforms, allowing you to defeat enemies or pick up other Players.
These items come in eggs, and are random when coming out of the egg (you throw
the egg to have the item come out).
Star: When throwing these, go and touch these to become invincible. You will
defeat any enemies in your way, and defeat/shrink other players.
Coin: Get these. You'll need them to win.
Heart: If you are small, you can use these to become big again. When you get
hit while you're big, you'll become small. If you're hit while you're small,
you're out of that round.
When all but one player is out of that round, the player remaining will win.
When a player wins 5 rounds, they win the whole thing. Another way of winning
is by collecting 5 coins.
Note: When playing with 3 or 4 players, there will be no Garbage Can, so you
will have to collect the 5 coins by defeating enemies. Have fun!

10. SNES/GBA Changes
=====================
Lots of changes happened to this game when it was ported onto the GameBoy
Advance. Here are many of the major ones below.
1. You start the game out small in the GBA version:
In the GBA version, you will only start out any level with 1 heart instead of
two. Don't worry, hearts are very common in the game and you can get them
almost anywhere.
2. Stopwatches are a lot less common:
You could find Stopwatches in the NES/SNES versions pretty easily. But in the
GBA version of this game they are much more rare and many of them are gone.
3. Yoshi Challenge added:
Once you beat the GBA version, a challenge called the Yoshi Challenge will be
unlocked. You must find Yoshi Eggs in subspace and try to collect all 40 Yoshi
Eggs in the game.
4. Ace Coins added to this game:
In each of the 20 levels, there are 5 Ace Coins in each level. Collecting all 5
in a level gives you a 1-up, and collecting all 100 turns the Yoshi red on the
title screen.
5. This game now keeps score:
Yep. There is a score in this game that the game keeps. You can knock out
certain enemies for a certain amount of points, and collecting 2 million will
give you a Mario head on the file select screen. You can have 5 maximum,
meaning 10 million points.
6. Saved games improve:
In the SNES version of this game, you could save the game at a level and start
over from the first level of the world you were in. But in the GBA version you
can save and start right back up at the level you were back in, and you can
select levels you have already done on the file select screen.
7. On the character select screen, they rotate:
In the SNES version, you just picked your character out and started the level.
But in the GBA version, Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad rotate around the screen
when switching between certain characters. You can also see their stats, how
fast they are, how high they jump, and how strong they are.
8. New enemies added to this game:
There are a few enemies added to this game, like the Giant Ninji and the Giant
Shy Guy. Throwing either one of them to the ground causes a free heart to
appear, and you can grab it. You can do this as many times as you want, so you
have an unlimited supply of hearts if you see these.
9. Hearts are a lot more common:
Yep, just like I mentioned earlier. You can get hearts very easily in this
game, by throwing giant enemies, grabbing them in the air, or uprooting them
from weeds almost anywhere in the game. If you knock out more than 1 enemy in a
row with a vegetable, a heart will come out. A heart will also appear for each
enemy you knock out with a Koopa Shell.
10. Some bosses were replaced and moved:
In the GBA version, Tryclyde II (the boss of World 6 in the SNES version) is no
longer in the game. He was a lot faster and a bit harder than the World 2
Tryclyde, and in the GBA version the much faster Mouser II has replaced
Tryclyde II. Mouser II was the boss of World 3 in the SNES version, and has
been replaced by the giant Robirdo in the GBA version.
11. You can now bet coins in the bonus game:
In the bonus game, you can now bet coins in the bonus game at the end of a
level. So you can bet 5 coins and if you got 2 Cherries, it would be multipled
by 5 (the amount of coins you bet) and you would end up winning 10 1-ups.
Risky, but nice.
12. Music toned down in game:
In the SNES version, the music was a lot better and pretty good. In the GBA
version of this game, the music was toned down and a lot more quiet (compare a
GameBoy Advance's audio to a big SNES). But there was also some new music in
the game, like just before fighting a boss or inside a vase.
13. Characters now talk:
Yep, all of the characters and bosses talk in this game. They talk when
uprooting weeds, throwing them, getting hit, or leaving a level. Each of them
have their own stuff they say, and Toad's voice is really annoying. So watch
out for his voice when selecting him.
14. Mario Bros. Arcade included:
In the GBA version, they also included a little game called Mario Bros. No,
this isn't the original Super Mario Brothers, but you must knock out all of the
enemies in each phase to win, and there are 99 phases including bonus games. To
knock out enemies, hit the ledge they are on from below to flip them over. Then
go and kick them.
