It has been almost 7 years since a Metroid game has been released. Everyone
that has played Super Metroid knows how great the series is, thus making this
long wait for a new game even harder. Well, our wait has paid off with the
release of not one, but TWO new Metroid games. On the same day nevertheless.
This FAQ is to help people having trouble with Metroid Fusion, the new
Metroid game on the GBA.

There are many different items that can be picked up in Metroid Fusion. Here
is where I will try to list them all.
Yellow X - Yellow X's are very common throughout the game. It is your source
of health. They can be released from enemies, and when you absorb
them, you health increases 10 points.
Green X - Green X's are also rather common throughout the game. If you kill
an enemy with your missles, you are likely to get one of these.
When you absorb them, you will acquire 2 more missles.
Red X - Red X's are rather rare. You will most likely find one when you kill
an eye that is on the door leading to a boss room. The reason they
are so rare is because when you absorb one, it refills both your
health and your missles.
Blue X - Blue X's are only found Sector 6. They are slightly larger than
regular X's, plus they are frozen. This may are may not be a
deliberate act to try to hurt Samus, since she is hurt by extreme
cold. Only when Samus gets the Varia Suit upgrade can she absorb
these parasites. They increase your health by 30 points.
Energy Tanks - You will want to get as many of these as you can throughout
the game. When Samus picks one up, she will be able to hold
99 more points of energy. Also, picking one up refills your
life. These are rather rare.
Missle Tanks - Missle Tanks are much more common than the Energy Tanks. Samus
will find many throughout her quest. When she picks one up, it
will allow her to hold 5 more missles than before. Picking one
up also gives you your full amount of missles.

There are many specific rooms in Metroid Fusion, including some that have
never appeared in any other Metroid games before. Here is the list of them.
Save Room - This room is rather self explanitory. In this room, you can stand
on the platform and it will save your progress. The next time
you start the game, you will start in the last Save Room you saved
in.
Recharge Room - In this room, you can stand on the platform and both your
health and missle supply will be replenished. This room can
come in handy.
Navigation Room - This room is new to the Metroid series. Here, you will be
able to talk to the computer. The computer will supply you
with the map for each sector, and it will give you
objectives. It will also keep you up to date on the
activities of SA-X and the X Parasite. Visit this room
often, especially after you have completed a task.
Data Room - The Data Rooms are the rooms that allow Samus to upgrade her
suit and abilities. Here, Samus will be able to download new
goodies. Later in the game, these rooms will become the targets
of the X for obvious reasons.
Security Room - There are four Security Rooms scattered through out the
research station. Each room holds a computer to unlock one of
the four security locks: L1 Blue, L2 Green, L3 Yellow, and L4
red. Samus will have to find these rooms to proceed to other
areas of the station.

The Story
=========
"I'd been assigned to watch over Biologic's research team, so I once again
found myself on the surface of SR388. It was there that I was attacked by a
life-form I had never encountered before. It was only later that I learned
the identity of my attacker: the parasitic organism we now know as X.
Unaware of my condition, I was returning to the station when disaster struck.
Once the X had infested my central nervous system, I lost consciousness and
my ship drifted into an asteroid belt. The ship's emergency systems
automatically ejected the escape pod before impact. Biologic's vessels
recovered it and transported me to Galactic Federation HQ. However, during
the journey, the X mulitplied within me, corrupting large areas of me Power
Suit. It then came to light that the organic components of my Power Suit had
become so integrated with my system that it could not be removed while I was
unconscious. Large portions of my suit had to be surgically removed,
dramatically altering my physical appearane. However, the X in my central
nervous system were too embedded to be removed safely. I was given a minimal
chance of survival. Then, someone found a cure. They proposed using a
Metroid cell to make an anti-X vaccine. It seems that the Federatoin had
managed to preserve a cell culture from the last infant Metroid from SR388.
The serum was prepared and injected without delay. The X parasites were
immediately and completely destroyed. As for me, one life ended...yet I
survived, reborn as something different. Pondering this fact, I realize...I
owe the Metroid hatchling my life twice over. We'll soon be arriving at the
B.S.L research station. I must prepare for docking. The ship's computer has
notified me of our approach to the Biologic Space Labs, or B.S.L, research
station. During my surgery, the research team sent the last batch of
creatures we captured there, as well as the infected pieces of my Power Suit.
After regaining consciousness, I learned that an unexplained explosion rocked
the station. For some reason, this awoke a nameless fear in my heart, and
now I am being sent there to investigate. My mission on the B.S.L station
will be overseen by my new ship's computer. Following the commans of this
blunt, computerized CO is something I have to bear, as it was a condition of
my taking the ship. For someone who dislikes taking orders, this is the
second time I've found myself having to do so. It makes me recall my other
CO..."

Mission Briefing

"There's been an explosion in the Quarentine Bay. The bay currently stores
capsules containing recent samples from SR388 as well as parts of your suit
infected by the X parasites. The cause of the explosion is as yet unclear.
Investigate. The Quarentine Bay is here. Move quickly and quietly... You
are still unable to use most of your latent abilities. Don't forget that,
Samus. Stop at the Navigation Room on the way. Uplink from there. Now, go
to the Quarantine Bay."

Samus's Ship

Exit Samus' ship and make your way to the Quarentine Bay. Run left. You will
run through 2 doors until you find that you have to go up. Go to the complete
top and run through the door to the left. You will now find yourself in the
Main Deck. Continue left through 2 doors until you are in the Navigation
Room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"The Quarantine Bay is ahead. Bio-signs are confirmed. Be careful."

Continue left. You will now find yourself in a darkened room. The door to
your left is locked for now, so go up and through the door to the left at the
top of the room. Go down and through the left door. Welcome to the
Quarentine Bay!

The first thing you'll notice is that the Bay has been trashed - not a good
sign... Continue to the end of the room, and you'll find a creature. Destory
it and get the X Parasite that emerges. Now make your way back to the
Navigation Room.

Navigation Room

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"This is the unfortunate news... The specimens brought back by the field team
were infected by X parasites. The X can mimic its prey; any specimen could
have hosted it. Before the explosion, a security sensor scanned one... The
gelatinous X parasites invade and rapidly reproduce, killing the host
creature. They also absorb DNA and use it to mimic the host. You were
almost killed by an X infection. Only the Metroid vaccine saved your life.
It seems Metroid were the main predators of the X. Thats why the vaccine
worked so quickly and so well. But it has also changed your cellular makeup.
You will never be infected by X again... In fact, you can now absorb any
free-floating X parasites without a host by merely touching them. This will
allow you to replenish health and restore weapons. You may also restore
latent abilities this way, so pursue free X parasites whenever you possibly
can. This station is home to many species...some violent ones. We must keep
the X out of the breeding environments at all costs. This is vital, Samus.
I am already detecting massive bio-signs in this region. The X are
gathering. This may be our chance to exterminate them, but... You are only
at 10% battle capacity. Your chance of survival is extremely low. The
Federation needs you alive and on duty, Samus... Now, get going. I have
released the lock on Level 0 hatches. Look for the blinking hatches."

From here, go right and up until you see the blinking grey door on the right.
Shoot the door, and go through it. This will lead you into a room with a
creature. Kill the creature and absorb the X. Continue right to the Save
Room.

Stand on the platform and save if you wish. Continue right. In this room,
you will encounter two purple creatures which are easily killed. Go up, past
the door with the barrier and through the door on the right into the
Navigation Room

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"I have received news from HQ. They can support you with downloadable weapons
data. Once you have this data, you'll be able to use Missles. This will
help against some enemies your beam can't hurt. Head to the Data Room for
the download. The Data Room is here. With Missiles, your chance of survival
climbs to 20%..."

Go right out of the Navigation Room and up and to the right to the Elevator.
Take the Elevator up.

In the elevator Samus will think to herself:
"That computer reminds me of a gruff Federation CO I served under named Adam
Malkovich. He called me "Lady" on missions; from anyone else, it would've
sounded sarcastic, but Adam made it sound dignified. Out of respect and with
some irony, I named the computer after him."
When the Elevator stops, go left. In the next room, you have some choices.
First, go straight. Through the door is a Recharge Room and a Save Room.
Recharge and save. Now go back to the room before the Recharge Room and go up
into the Navigation Room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"The Data Room is just ahead."
Continue through to the Data Room.

Once inside, stand on the platform and receive the Missles. You will hear the
familiar Metroid chime. Now go back to the Navigation Room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"Elecctrical interference has knocked out the elevators on the Main Deck.
This may be related to the X. I'll work on it. As for you... Try to find
another way to the target. It's located here. I'm reading huge bio-signs,
so I hope your Missles work... To reload Missiles you can use a Recharge
Room or absorb a special type of X parasite. You'll see them. Try it out.
Missles are your only hope. Don't hesitate to use them. Now, find a way to
the target."

Go left out of the Navigation Room. Go straight and jump on the two platforms
until you find the glowing panel. Blow it away with your new missles. Go in.
You will enter a dark room and find a barrier. Blow it away with two missles
and it will give you a green X, good for two missles. Fall through the floor.
Go left (using your ability to hang) and blow the wall away with your regular
beam. Fall down. A X will fly up and become an enemy. Kill it and get the
green X. Fall through the two floors and go right by climbing up the wall.
Keep falling down, and you will find a...
*Missle Tank*
which will increase your missle capacity to 15. Go down and to the right into
a seemingly empty room. Shoot the second step to reveal another...
*Missle Tank*
thus increasing you missle capacity to 20. Now go straigh right and kill the
enemy to get to Main Deck.

Main Deck
=========
From here, first go up and right into the Save Room and save. Then, go back
down and right where you will find two purple enemies and a giant eye blocking
the door. Destroy the eye by shooting it with missle, but you can only hit it
when the eye has a pupil, so be careful. If the retina is gone, move because
it will shoot a giant beam at you. Once it is destroyed, it will let out a
strange red X... get it if you can! Now, go through the door. Go up by using
a series of hanging jumps and you will soon find an...
**Energy Tank**
Continue right and fall through the floor to find your target and a strange X.
It will lower to the ground and turn into a boss. Shoot this boss with lots
of missles, and I mean lots. And fast. It will shoot a fire ball which will
start the ground on fire. Jump up and hang on the ledge and jump over it.
Don't shoot until he turns around, or it won't hit him through his shell.
Continue bombarding him with missles while dodging his swipe and roll attacks.
When you kill him, the X will be let out again. Grab some free-floating ones
and shoot the big one with 3 Missles. It will be released. Jump up and grab
it to get the...
***Morph Ball***
Morph into the ball and roll left. Jump over the pile of rocks until
you get to the hole in the wall. Hang from the hole, then press up to roll
into it. Continue left into a dark room. Climb up the wall and climb up the
second wall. Stop at the top and shoot the wall out to the left of you. Roll
through it. Continue past two enemies and climb and roll into the next room.
Go continue left, then go up to the barrier you saw before. Break it with
missles to open a Recharge Room. Now go up and to the right to the Navagation
Room.

Navagation Room

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"Samus, it's as I feared. The breeding environments have been invaded by X
parasites. Sector 1 (SRX) shows several abnormalities on bio-sensors.
Sector 1 is a simulation of the SR388 ecosystem. To get there, take the Main
Elevator to the access shaft and use Elevator 1. Use the Navigation Room
just inside for further briefing. I'm not sure, but I think that whoever
allowed the X into the environment may also be linked to the earlier
explosion..."

After the briefing, go left and all the way down and left again to the Save
Room.

Save Room
=========
Save your progress. Continue left, through 2 doors and into a vertical room.
Drop all the way to the bottom and go left. Go through the Navigation Room
and into another vertial room. The door directly ahead of you is open, but
don't go in it. (Inside is the Sub-Zero Containment Room, where it is so cold
you will constantly loss energy. Inside here you get to get a glimpse of an
old friend...) Instead of going straight, go up until you see the hole you
can roll through on the right. Roll through it to pick up a...
*Missle Tank*
Roll back out of the room and continue up. Go through the left door all the
way at the top. Roll through the hole directly ahead of you and continue
straight through 2 door until you find an Elevator. Go down. Immediately
after you leave the screen, the wall will explode and another Samus will
emerge! It will look at you and zoom in on its face. It as no pupils... It
will blow up the door on the other side and leave. When you reach the
bottom, go left through the door to another Elevator. Go down again. You are
now in Sector 1...

Navigation Room

From the Elevator go through the right door to enter the Naviagtion Room.
Once there they will brief you again and give you the Sector 1 map. The
briefing is as follows:
"The Main Elevator leading to the access shaft has been severely damaged. It
will be totally unusable for some time, unfortunately. Some unknown agent is
at work. Something very powerful...certainly not human. I'll report when I
know more. Now, listen closely. The X in Sector 1 have invaded the
atmospheric stabilizers. They must want to alter the environment to their
needs. They are already reproductiong. Clear all 5 atmospheric stabilizers
to stop them. Now, get moving."

Leave the Navigation Room through the right door into the Save Room.

Save Room
=========
Save here and continue right the the Recharge Room. Recharge if you need to
and continue right. There will be several doors in this room, but you can
only go through one. Go down and continue straight. Kill the three purple
creatures on the way. Go through the grey door on bottom right. The next
corridor is filled with ameobas that suck your energy, some small some large.
Quickly shoot them and pick up the X's. Continue forward and destory the
barrier. Go through the door.

Atmospheric Stabilizer 1
========================
You will now be in a foggy room. You will immediately seen a fan with a
monster on it. This is an atmospheric stabilizer. The creature will be
spitting out green X's. Destory it will several missles. One down four to
go. Continue to the next room. Here you will find several of the creatures
you first encountered. Kill them. Some of the free-floating X's may combine
to make a floating shell like enemy. To kill it, run under it, make it fall,
and when its flying up, point up and blast it. Also, blow up the rock under
the step to open a hole. Roll through it to find an...
**Energy Tank**
Continue to the next room. From this vertical room, you have several rooms to
choose from. I say that you should go straight across to the next Atmospheric
Stabilizer.

Atmospheric Stabilizer 2
========================
Blow up the wall and go straight. Jump up to the platform above you and go to
the end up it. Above you is a destoryable floor. Blast it and jump up. To
the right of you is the next Atmospheric Stabilizer. Kill the creature with 3
more missles, and the fog will clear. 3 more to go. Fall through the floor
and go back to the vertical room. Go down and take the first room to your
left into a long corridor. In here, you will find enemies will shells that
charge. Let them charge, jump over them and shoot them in the back. Dead.
Continue to the end of the room. Go through the door across from you to find
a ceiling ladder above lava. Climb across the ladder to find a...
*Missle Tank*
Climb back to the vertical room since you have no where to go from here. Once
in the vertical room, fall down it. Here you will find some familiar enemies
from Super Metroid, Zebesians, except they are much stronger. One missle will
kill them, or you can just dodge them all the way down. When you reach the
bottom, go right. In the next room, you'll find a crab-like creature. Aim
down and kill it. Continue right into the next Atmospheric Stabilizer.

Atmospheric Stabilizer 3

First, climb across the ladder on top. On the other side, you will find the
Atmospheric Stabilizer next to a ladder. Climb the ladder and shoot it right
from there. Two more left, almost done. Go down and to the right. Continue
through the room with the charging skull and through the next room to reach
the next Atmospheric Stabilizer.

Once here, immediately do a series of hang jump to reach the top. Jump and
hang on the ladder and shoot the Atmospheric Stabilizer from there. Fall and
kill all the creatures. Now go to the upper left door. Inside you will find
a crab enemy along with a...
*Missle Tank*
Leave the room and go to the lower right door in the Atmospheric Stabilizer
room. This is yet another vertical room with Zebesians, but this room is a
little harder to get up. You will have to jump from wall ladder to wall
ladder while shooting the insects in between. Once at the top, go through
the door to the left. In the next room you will have to shoot a switch that
will open a gate. Continue strainght. Climb across the ladder on the ceiling
to get to the end of this water room. Once at the end, shoot the wall to
reveal a hole. Roll though it and go through the door. Walk forward in the
next room and you will fall through the floor. Before you tackle the eye, go
straight through the door on the bottom left. The second room from this door
is a Save Room.

Save. Then go right two rooms to the room with the eye. Climb up the wall
and kill it. In the next room you will find a Chozo Statue. Shoot the ball
he's holding to make it change into an X. Shoot this X's eye type thing with
missles to kill it, but dodge the beam it shoots with it. After its killed,
jump up and grab the X to get the...
***Charge Beam***
This beam, well... allows you to charge it. You will be able to have much
more powerful beam shots. Climb the platforms to get to the upper right door.
Go through it. In the next room, shoot the block in the ceiling to open it
up. Jump up and go right into the next Stabilizer.

Atmospheric Stabilizer 5

Once in, go straight, drop down, go left, roll through the hole, and shot a
hole through the wall right by the Stabilizer. Kill it with some missles and
you have equalized all the atmospheric levels! Leave the room through the
lower right door. In the next room, open the gate and continue forward.
Climb up the room and go through the upper right door to get to a Save Room.

Save again. Now go back, through the upper left door in the next room and all
the way up the vertical room. Go through the upper left door in this room,
and go straight across all of the next rooms until you get to the beginning.
Go back through the Recharge Room and Save room, recharge and save if you
like, and go to the Navigation room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"Atmospheric stabilizers online. But many X have already made it to other
sectors, it seems. In particular...Sector 2 (TRO), the tropical habitat,
shows abnormalities. I suspect the X entered this sector with the help of
our unseen saboteur. He or it may be in TRO now. Samus, get over there. We
need to put an end to this. Start moving. I'll brief you at the TRO
Navigation Room."

You are back on the Main Deck. Now go right, past the main elevator to the
Sector 2 elevator. Take it down. You are now in Sector 2...

Navigation Room

From the Elevator, go right into the Navigation Room. Once there they will
brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"I have learned the identity of our mystery saboteur... Samus, it's an X
mimicking you. I have named it the SA-X. I believe the SA-X came from the
capsule containing your infected suit parts. It used a Power Bomb to escape
the Quarantine Bay. That explosion breached the capsules containing all the
X that started this disaster. But the SA-X is definitely our biggest worry
right now. The SA-X is mimicking you at full power. You can't face it. If
you see the SA-X, just run. Don't think about fighting... You are still
very vulnerable to cold, an unexpected side-effect of the Metroid vaccine.
Like Metroids, you can be frozen by an Ice Beam. Of course, the SA-X is
armed with the Ice Beam. Stay away. If you see it, just run. HQ says they
have Bomb data ready in the Data Room. Bombs will help you find a way out if
the SA-X traps you. The Data Room is here, but...it's sealed by a Level 1
hatch. You'll have to find the Security Room and release the Level 1 locks.
But per safety protocols, it's not marked on the map. You'll have to find it
on your own somehow, Samus. So, first find the Security Room and unlock
Level 1 hatches, then go to the Data Room and get that Bomb data. Keep an
eye out for the SA-X.

Continue right into the Save and Recharge Rooms. Save and Recharge. Now the
adventure begins. Go out of the Recharge Room, and you'll find yourself in a
bigger room. Continue straight and work your way down. Don't go in the first
door on your left, there is a Missle Tank in there, but you need the Hi-Jump
to get it. We'll come back to that. Continue down. Also, as you move down
you will notice new red slug-like enemies on the walls. They are rather easy
to kill. Soon, you'll come to a hole covered by a block. Blast the block and
fall down. Go right, not left through the door. When you go all the way
right, go up. Go past the blue door all the way to the grey one on the upper
right corner of the room. Go throught the corridor and into a heavily
tropical room. Go up, past the blue door and into the grey one. You should
now be in the Security Room.

From the door, drop down and stand on the platform. You will have unlocked
the Level 1 Blue security hatches. This means you can now go through all the
blue doors. Go out the blue door to your right and continue back the way you
came. Go down, past the blue door, and back to the door I told you to skip
over. Go through it. Go through the corridor to the next room. In this
room, immediately go up and left. You'll find a blue door. Go through it.
This is the Data Room.

Stand on the platform to download the ability to lay bombs while morphed into
a ball. When you leave the room, you'll see the room rumble. Now go
straight, but before you fall down, jump over to the little ledge. There,
morph and lay some bombs to gain access to a room with a...

Now, go back and fall. You'll find the door destroyed, so you'll need to find
another way out. No problem. Go all the way to the bottom left corner and
lay some bombs. You'll fall into another room. Roll right, and go through
the door on your right. You'll find yourself in a Save Room.

Save, then go back into the other room and go straight acroos through the next
door. First, in this room, go up. There, you'll find a block. Lay a bomb
on this block to make a steel pillar rise up. Jump from this pillar onto the
platform on your right. Then, kneel down and shoot to your left. You'll open
a hole. Jump, hang, and roll into the hole. Kill the creature inside. Then,
go past the block, and lay a ball on the floor to the left of it. (On the
block that's only one block in width.) A steel pillar will rise up and allow
you to get the...
*Missle Tank*
Now, go back to the door where you came in roll through the passage leading
down. You'll have to lay some bombs to jump over and blow up some blocks.
When you get to the room, kill the slugs and lay a bomb over the obvious
opening. Fall down the passage. In this passage, there will be two slugs.
To kill them, roll next to them, lay some bombs, and roll back. When they
walk onto the bombs, they will be no more. When you get to the two blocks,
blow up the second one and fall down. Roll down into the hole immediately to
your left. There, morph out of a ball, and kill the slug to your left. Then
jump, hang and roll forward. Blow up the blocks, and fall. Go through the
door to your left. In this room, just fall down, and go through the door on
your right. In the next room, use bombs to blow up the platform in the middle
of the room. Fall down and go left. Fall down, and stand on the little
platform covering the hole. The platform will crumble and you will find
yourself in a room with slugs, blue and red ones. Kill them, then before you
leave the room, lay a bomb right next to the ledge on the right to open a
passage. Roll through it, fall through the floor that crumbles, and get the
*Missle Tank*
thats to the left of you. Shoot above you to get out. Then blow up the block
thats blocking your way out and leave the area through the grey door. Now
you will find yourself in a different, more futuristic setting. Continue
forward, and you will find two red blobs. Kill them. Then, it seems like you
are stuck, but you really aren't. Lay a bomb next to the wall, exactly one
block away, to raise a steel pillar. Jump out, and go through the door. Go
immediately across into the grey door. Continue through this corridor to a
Save Room.

Save. Then leave, go past the corridor and into the room you came from. Go
up, pass the door on your right, then pass the door on your left too. Jump
over the wall on the right and go through that door. Go through the next
corridor and into the next room. Go directly across into the Save Room and
save. Trust me... save. Then go past the room with the spikey Owtches, and
into a room with slugs and an...
**Energy Tank**
You aren't done in this room though. Next to the ledge on the right, lay
bombs to blow open the floor. You will land in a room with another eye. Kill
the eye and get the red X and continue forward. You will hear creepy music.
Ah yes, you know whats coming up don't you...

Boss Battle
===========
Notice the door behind you. Sealed. Jump over the wall, and into a pit.
You'll find another giant X. It will turn into a giant jumping tree-like
boss. You'll notice his giant eye, that is his weak spot. He'll start to
jump. One of his jumps though, he won't jump as far. Then, instead of
falling right away, he'll float to the ground and open his mouth. This is
your chance. When he's floating, shoot as many missles up, though his body
and into his eye. As you do this, you will notice that segments of his body
will start to explode, and he will get smaller. If, by accident, you get
sucked in his body, simply roll into a ball and lay bombs as quick as possible
to get out. Right before he dies, he'll start to do nothing but jump and open
his mouth. Shoot him more, until he explodes and turns into the giant X
again. Grab the X's around him, and shoot him 4 times to release him. Jump
up and absorb him to gain...
***Hi-Jump***

Now, with the Hi-Jump, you will be able to jump out of the pit. Jump out and
return the way you came. You will come to the Save Room again.

Save Room
=========
Here, save your progress. Go left, out of the Save Room. In the next room,
you can go up, but you will find that you need a more powerful bomb to destroy
the platform that is blocking your way. Also, you can shoot the floor below
you to reveal a passage that will bring you right below the door that leads
you the boss you just beat. You can explore if you would like, but you don't
have to. So, instead of going up or down, go straight through the door on
the left. In this room you will notice it too has been trashed by SA-X. Go
all the way to the destroyed door. Lay a bomb on the crack in the floor to
fall through it. In the room you fall into, you will truely see something
rather creepy. The music deepens, and you will hear the slow, steady
footsteps of SA-X. Watch it as it passes below you, but DO NOT go after it.
Just wait for it to leave the room before you move. It you do chase it, it
will simply freeze you with its (your) Ice Beam and kill you. Trust me, I
know. When it leaves, go to the end of the ceiling, blow it up and fall to
the floor. Leave the room. In the next room, go up. Go through the first
door on your left. In here, use your Hi-Jump to jump and hang on the ladder
on the ceiling. Climb over to the end of the room to find a...
*Missle Tank*
Then, go back out of the room the way you came in, since you can't reach the
ledge that is under the water. In the room you were just in, continue up
again. Then, on the left side of the wall, you see a caccoon of sorts. Jump
on it to get onto the platform. Continue up, past the caccoon blocking the
door, until you get to a small passage on the left. Roll through it and
destroy the block. Jump up as a ball and lay bombs to destroy the block.
Then roll through it and go through the door. Go through the room with the
flying monster, and into the next room. Kill jumping creature in this room.
Then, jump and hang from the first ledge. Next, jump from there and hang on
the second one. On this ledge, roll up into it and blow up the wall. Inside
you will find a...

Then, jump up to the top, roll in, blow up the block, and roll out. Continue
left and roll into the passage. Blow up the block in the next room and you
will find yourself where you started. Here, you can tie up some loose ends.
First, jump up, past a few caccoons. Go through the blue door to your right.
In here, kill the spikey Owtches. Then, go all the way to the wall on the
right. You'll notice a single block near the middle of the wall. Jump up
morphed and blow it up with bombs. Inside you will find another...

idea. The SA-X has invaded the water environment in Sector 4 (AQA) with

easily. The creatures and systems in Sector 4 are already showing multiple
irregularities. I'm currently investigating. I'll brief you in the
Navigation Room when you arrive. Now, head for Sector 4."

learns its potential and threatens the universe..."
When the Elevator stops, you will be on the Main Deck again. Go right to get
to the Sector 4 Elevator. Take it down...

Navigation Room

From the Elevator, go left into the Navigation Room. Once there they will
brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"This sector has taken more damage than expected... I knew the X were
powerful and destructive, but still... This seems to be purposeful. We
certainly can't rule out the possibility that the SA-X has a high degree of
intelligence. I find the X fascinating, especiall this SA-X. ...But I
digress. This sector is home to a very large creature the researchers called
Serris. It is capable of moving and attacking at ultra-high speed. The more
senseless and widespread destruction here may be atributable to Serris. No
doubt the SA-X released it, but I can't be sure why yet. Serris has returned
often to the breeding tank here. Its natural behavior must be to go back to
it periodically. It's a valuable specimen, but you have been authorized to
termainate it. If you don't, it may invade other sectors. While you're
moving, be careful. Some broken power nodes have electrified the water...
but we can't cut the power. Doing so would affect the whole station
adversely. If you touch the water, you'll be electrocuted. Conserve energy
as you go."
MAP COMING SOON
Continue left through the Save and Recharge Rooms. Save and recharge. After
you leave the Recharge Room, you will enter a large blue room. From here,
jump across the two platforms that through the large hole. Fall and go
through the door. Continue past the small room and you'll find yourself in a
big room. Notice that the ledge in front of you can be destoryed with a bomb,
but don't enter it yet, we'll come back to it. Also notice that the large
block above it is made of Speed blocks. This will make sense later. For now,
jump up, killing the crab along the way. Blow up the block at the top and
continue across the ladder. Fall from the ladder onto the block below held
up by two chains. Make your way across the blocks, killing the crabs along
the way. Go through the door at the end of the room. In the next room,
continue left. Kill any crabs you see. Jump over the water tank (don't go in
unless you want to kill some fish) and take the top passage. Drop into the
water tank, kill the fish, and go through the door on the left. You'll will
emerge from this door still in a water tank. Kill the fish the forms and
climb the ladder up. Go in the door above you and to the left. This is a
Save Room.

Save. Go back the the room you were just in and go right. Run through two
pools of water until you reach a wall. Jump up and to your left and grab onto
the ladder. Then, jump from the ladder onto the one above you and to your
right. From there, jump, hang, and roll into the hole on your left and go
through the door. Right in front of you, you will find an...
**Energy Tank**
but you won't be able to go anywhere else. Go back the way you came.
Continue through the hole, past the little pools, and down past the Save Room
and into the tank. Go through the door. Jump out of the tank, and now take
the passage below you. Fall down and run left through the door. In this
room, shoot the block right above the door to destory it. Jump up and roll
into the passage and lay a bomb to blow up the wall blocking the ladder on the
ceiling. Climb across the water and fall onto the platform below you. Run to
the wall that leads up to a room above you. Instead of going up though, place
two bombs next to te wall to blow it up. (Go up if you want to explore
though) Continue left and through the door. Next, shoot the block
immediately above the door. Jump through this new passage and on to the
ladder to your left. Climb up. Jump on to the ladder on the ceiling and
climb across the gap. When you get on the ledge, shoot the block above you
and jump up. The blue block to your right, next to a small hole can be broken
with a bomb, so do it. Climb the ladder to your left, climb across the ladder
on the ceiling, and lay a bomb next to the wall to blow up the floor. You
will fall through. Climb up the ladder to your left, and shoot up to blow up
the two blocks above you. Jump up and go through the door to your right.
This will be a Save Room.

Save. This isn't all you do in this Save Room though. See the crack in the
wall to your right? Use a bomb to blow it up. Roll through it, blow up the
block blocking your way in the next room, and go through the door. Uh oh,
creepy music again. You should be where the computer target was, but nothing
is there, only bones. Jump in the tank, walk across it, and jump out the
other side. Go through the door. Now you should be in the room where you
found the Energy Tank, only on the other side. Jump up, climb the two ladders
and fall into the tank. Here you will find another eye. Kill it, it is no
different underwater. Be sure to grab the red X to refill your health. Go
through the door... Now you'll find yourself in a big tank.

Boss Battle: Serris
===================
Once in the tank, jump up onto the ledge above the door and jump onto the
blocks above the water. Walk across and soon the cracked blocks will crumble.
Then you will see and ultra-fast Serris fly by. The computer wasn't kidding!
Serris' weak spot is its head, so you will have to shoot it with missles.
There is a number of ways to go about killing him. The best way for me was
just to hang from the ceiling and shoot him from there. He may come up from
the middle hole, in which case you can just shoot down. Otherwise he may come
from one of the side holes, in which case he'll turn towards the middle and
you can get him there. He will take five missle hits to the face until he
blows up and turns into a giant X. Be sure to stay on the platforms, and jump
a lot. Shoot the X with 5 more missles to release it. Absorb it to get the...
***Speed Booster***
Leave the room via the top right door. In the next room, jump above the
platform and run across it. Then, bomb the wall blocking you from getting
underneath it. Run all the way to the end, then run back without stopping to
get the Speed Boost. This will destory the blocks covering the hole. Fall
down. To the left of you will clearly be a hole blocked off. Blow it up, and
roll through. Blow up the block blocking the ladder. Before you jump up,
shoot in the little crevase on the bottom left. You will find a...
*Missle Tank*
Then, jump up on the ladder. Hang from the middle of it, and shoot two
missles to the left to open a hole. Roll through it and drop down the end of
it. Keep falling until you get to the bottom. Go right, and jump over the
shaft to the other side. Jump up and shoot to open a passage to another...
*Missle Tank*
Go back and fall down the shaft you jumped over. Go left, and fall down onto
the block hanging from the chains. Continue left, over the blocks and through
the upper left door. Continue left, jump over the tank, and take the bottom
passage. Go through the door to your left. In this room, once again blow up
the blocks blocking the ladder and climb over to the platform to the left.
Continue left, through the hole you made earlier and through the grey door.
Go through the next blue door.

Pump Control Unit

In the next room, don't stop running.
Continue right from the door in order to activate the Speed Booster and run
through the wall. Stop right after you run through the wall. Step on the
platform in front of the computer to lower the water level. Climb down the
ladder on the left, and jump into the little area to the right and pick up
the...
*Missle Tank*
Roll out of the area, and fall down. As you can now see, the water is so low,
the electrical wires can't get to it. Cool. Continue left, jump up the
platforms, and blast through the flimsy floor. Left the room via the blue
door you came in. Continue through the grey door and into the next room. Go
right, morph, and roll through the bottom path and drop down. Get as close to
the wires as you can, but don't get hurt. Run right, don't stop, and use the
Speed Booster to go through the wall. In the next room, run right until you
find the opening to the tank above you. Inside, pick up the...
*Missle Tank*
Roll out of the passage on the left. From here, go back left into the small
area you broke through. Get against the wall, then run right and activate
the Speed Booster to run through the big block. Don't stop here though!
Continue running and destory the crabs and run through the next block. Go
through the door. In the next room, you will find a crab. Kill it. The X
from it will inhabit another crab, but this one will be gold. Kill it with
2 missles. Go right. In the next room, jump up, over the platforms and
through the upper right-hand door. In the next rooms, save and recharge. Go
into the Navigation Room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"So Serris had been infected by the X, too... Well, as a result, you
recovered another ability. At this rate, you may be able to face the SA-X
yet... But that's still a ways off. HQ has more support data. This time
it's Missle upgrade data. You desperately need this, but the Data Room here
is sealed with a Level 4 lock, the highest security level. Let's avoid
opening sensitive areas unless it's necessary. Also, the route to the Data
Room in Sector 2 is blocked by still more SA-X activity. I note a deliberate
activity pattern, as if it is blocking your recovery intentionally. Samus,
it looks like your best option for this download is in Sector 3 (PYR). You
will find the PYR Data Room on your map after a Navigation Room there. Now,
head for Sector 3 (PYR)."

"Thankfully, the X have not invaded this area yet... The Data Room here is
sealed by another security hatch. In order to download, you must find the
Security Room here and activate Level 2 hatches. This may allow the SA-X and
X parasites into the area... But we are left with no choice. Your recovery
is our main goal. The Data Room is here. As I explained, Security Rooms

Continue right and save and recharge. Soon, you'll find yourself in a large
red room. Before you continue, note that many walls in this area can be shot
out. With that in mind, go down. Shoot through or roll through the hole, and
continue right. Climb down the ladder, and run left. Don't go through the
door you find. Instead, shoot out the floor infront of it to drop down. Here
you will find another door. Before you go in, shoot out a path along the
floor leading to this door. Go to the left, next to the door, and run into
the left door. You will get a Speed Boost right before you hit the wall in
the room, thus smashing through it. After you are through the wall, butt
Samus up again it. Then run left again without stopping to get another Boost.
When you get on the second bump on the floor, jump! You will break through
the ceiling with your Speed Boost. Morph into a ball, and bomb open the
passage into the next room. You will find yourself in the green Security
Room.

Security Room
=============
First, roll through the rest of the passage and fall down. Stand on the
platform and unlock the Level 2 Security hatches. Go right through the newly
opened green doors. In the room you just came from, you will see several X's
enter the sector because you just unlock the Security hatches. No matter.
Simply kill them. Go back to the green door, run right and obtain a Speed
Boost and jump through the wall you originally came through. Go through the
door. In the next room, continue right go through the door. In this room,
you will find a metal pole with the button to open it on the otherside. You
won't be able to go that way. Instead, jump up. Use a couple of missles on
the creature in the wall to your right. Go all the way to the wall he was in,
and you should fall through the floor. You just got through the metal pole.
Before going right, open the pole. Then go all the way to the grey door and
run right. Don't stop so you obtain another Boost. Run all the way to the
end of the next room, and you will destroy some of the floor with your Boost.
Run on top of the first few destroyed blocks to fall through the floor. Go
right. You will now find yourself in a long, vertical red room. Before you
go up, fall down the room while avoiding or killing the creatures you find
along the way. Once at the bottom, go through the right green door (don't go
left, it is too hot in that room). Kill the Geemers. Jump on top of the
large block in the middle of the room and lay a bomb in on the middle of it.

*Missle Tank*
Don't be fooled though, there is more in this room. If you bomb the bottom
right corner, you will open it up. In the next room you will find a door and
a fire creature. Do not go through the door though, it is too hot for you in
there. Also, you won't be able to get up top yet. Remember this location,
you will want to come back to it later. Now go back out to the vertical room.
Scale the ladders while killing or avoiding the creatures in the walls. When
you get to the door you came in orginally, pass it up and continue up. At the
top, you will find two doors... one is destroyed. Go through the left door.
In this room, go to the left wall and morph. Put a bomb on the second block
you see in the wall, not the first one on the floor. Pick up the...
*Missle Tank*
inside. Then, go all the way to the corner and lay another bomb. This will
blow up the block above you. Jump up into that passage. Lay another bomb at
the end of this passage to blow another block above you up. Jump up and to
the right. Finally, at the end of this passage, lay a bomb and jump out. Go
right, since you will not be able to kill the obstical on the left. Through
this green door, you will enter a room with a lot of lights. The background
will be somewhat wavey and the floor is covered with sand. Continue right
through this room, while killing the enemies on the way. Go through the door
at the end. You will now enter a room with a ladder on the ceiling.

***Super Missles***
Your missles will be visibly stronger now. Right after you leave the
platform, the room will shake. Not good. Leave the room. Go left back into
the wavey room. In the middle of this room, you will find that a large hole
has been make in the floor. Fall down into it. Go right into the
non-destroyed grey door.

Save Room
=========
This room is a Save Room. Before you save, I advise you to continue right
first. In the next Recharge Room, recharge and continue right. In the next
room, use your new Super Missles to kill the enemies and destroy the obsticle.

*Missle Tank*
that is behind it. Go back left and save in the Save Room. Go left out of
the Save Room and jump up the hole. Go left. When you get to the destroyed
door, the room will begin to shake and crumble. Follow the falling rocks
right across the room. Go through the grey door. A metal door will close
behind you. Thats right, its boss time.

Boss Battle: Security Robot
===========================
Go to the right part of this room, and the Robot will jump out from the Data
Room. Immediately run to the ladder on the ceiling and jump on it. The first
thing you have to know before you take this guy on, is that he has only one
attack. He will spit out balls that will make two walls of fire. You can not
hit him when he is doing this. Secondly, he moves in too ways. He will
either jump across the stage, or he will run across it. If you know this, it
will make it easier to hit him. To hit him, you must shoot a Super Missle
down from above onto the middle of his body. To dodge the walls of fire, hang
directly above the balls when they are on the ground before they blow up. As
you hit him, his outer covering will start to fall apart revealing a brain
inside. Cool huh? Then, when you hit him enough times, he will start to
flash white, walk away, then jump out of the room. Debris will fall. Jump on
top of these chunks, and jump up. When you get through the hole on the top,
go left (you will need the Screw Attack to break the wall on the right). Run
through the room while killing the enemies and noticing the nice lighting
again. Go through the grey door at the end of the room. Fall down, and blow
up the block on the left. Roll through it, and continue left. Soon, you will
find an odd formation on the ceiling in the middle of the room. You can blow
up the two poles with bombs. But this puzzle is tricker than that. First,
lay a bomb so it ONLY destroys one of the bottom blocks. Then, lay a bomb in
the middle of the rest of the blocks so they all blow up. When the one block
forms again, jump up on it, hang, and roll into a ball. Quickly lay a bomb.
This bomb will destory yet another block in the middle and above the rest of
these blocks. Quickly unmorph and shoot a missle into the middle. This will
reveal a...
**Energy Tank**
Now, with that puzzle out of the way, you can continue left. Blow up the
three blocks, and roll out of the room. You will find yourself in the first
big, red room you entered. Fall down, and go to the upper left room. Save
and recharge and enter the Navigation Room.

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"I see that you encountered a rogue Security Robot. You may destory it if you
meet it again. Your safety is vital. But as to your brief... Level 2
security locks are released, so Sectors 5 and 6 are open. That means those
sectors have likely been infiltrated by X. They are much harder to stop than
we initially suspected... Sector 5 (ARC) is sub-zero. You're still
susceptible to cold from the vaccine side-effects, so you'll take damage if
you even set foot inside there. Avoid Sector 5 for now, but in the meantime,
HQ is working on data to adjust your suit for extreme temperatures. Once we
have the transmission, you can download it, but... The X have destoryed all
the Data Rooms you have used so far. I no longer doubt their capacity for
critical thought. You'll have to use the Data Room in the night habitat,
Sector 6 (NOC). Go to Sector 6 and access a Navigation Room there. Tread
lightly, Samus. You are the only one who can do this. And the X may be much
more dangerous than we know..."

Once in the Navigation Room to your right, they will brief you again. The
briefing is as follows:
"The Varia Suit data is here from HQ, ready to download. Get moving to a Data
Room. But there's a problem... X from the sub-zero sector ARC are in Sector
6 (NOC), and they... They've been changed by the cold. If you absorb one,
you'll be frozen from within. This seems like a deliberate tactic. Once you
download the Varia Suit modification, you'll be out of danger. Just be
extremely careful until then. The NOC Data Room is here. Remember, avoid
the blue X. Use your beam to stun them in order to get by. Be careful.
They are hunting you actively now, Samus... And this area is very dark.
Proceed with extreme caution."

Save and recharge in the next rooms. After theses rooms, you will enter a
purple room with several flying creatures. Kill them. From here, you should
go right, but you can break through the floor on the left side of the room.
This will only lead you to a dead end though. Go through the door on the
right. The room you will now be in is dark. Go down. When you get to the
bottom, before you break through the barrier, go to the left wall. Lay a bomb
where there are no rocks protruding from the wall. Roll through the hole.

*Missle Tank*
that you saw from the other room. Roll back out. Use Super Missles to break
through the barrier. When you get all the way to the right wall, do the same
thing. Lay a bomb where there are no rocks and roll through the hole. In
this computerized room, you will see an Energy Tank. There are three passages
you can take in this room, and only one will lead you to the Tank. From the
ledge, jump up (in the Morph Ball), and lay a bomb in the upper right corner.
This will reveal a passage. Roll through it, lay another bomb, and grap
the...
**Energy Tank**
Jump out of the hole you came in and roll out of the room back into the dark
room. Go up and out through the grey door on the upper right corner. In the
next room, you will catch your first glimpse of the abnormally large blue X
Parasite. Like the computer told you, they are harmful, so shoot it to stun
it and run past it into the next room. In here, stun the this X also and
go down. Don't go in the door on your right or the one on your left, its
still too dangerous. Go all the way to the bottom and through the door on the
right. From here, continue right. When you get to the blocks, shoot ONLY the
upper two. If you shoot the bottom one, an X will appear. Jump on the ladder
and climb down. Shoot through the wall on your left (don't continue down, it
isn't worth it). Jump through and go left. You will find three X's here.
Stun them if you can, and jump over the hole to the ladders. Go down and
through the door on your left. Don't stop running in this room, get the Speed
Boost and run past the X's and go through the wall. Climb down the ladder.
Go through the grey door to your right. In the next room, you will find more
of the easy to kill flying creatures. Kill them to pick up some health if you
need it. Continue right. Into the Save Room.

Save. Then go back through the room with the flying creatures and into the
room with the ladder. Go left, under the ladder and past the X and go through
the door. In this room, you will find an...
**Energy Tank**
That's not all though. After you pick up the Energy Tank, lay a bomb one
block away from the wall to reveal a passage going down. Fall down, and roll
across into a lower room. Go through the door on your right. In this room,
if you lay bombs, you will notice a lot of it can be blown up with a Super
Bomb. Unfortunately, you don't have those right now. Instead, go to the wall
on the right and lay a bomb. Fall through the hole that is made and roll
left. You will see your good friend SA-X strole through the door as are
underneath the floor. And you may not have Super Bombs, but SA-S does. He
will lay one and will blow away the wall and floor. Wait and listen as SA-X
walks and leaves the room. Don't move until you hear the door open. When
he is gone, go right and fall down. Go through the door on the left. Kill
the flying creatures and the slugs in this room, then shoot out the wall on
the left. Go left and roll through the passage to get to the grey door. Go
through it, and in the next room, go through the door on your left.

Save Room
=========
Save here, then go back right. Lay bomb in the middle of the room to blow up
the block. Fall down. In this part of the room, pretty much everything can
be destoryed, but don't destory it for blue X's are hiding here. Use one bomb
to blow up the upper right block. This will blow up the block AND open the
floor so you can get to the door. Dodge or freeze the X you unleashed and go
through the door. Kill the flying creatures and go right. Here you will find
another eye. Kill it with one Super Missle and be sure to get the red X. Its
boss time.

Boss Battle: Green Ball
=======================
In the Data Room, you will find a giant X in the pod. It will destroy it and
fly into the next room. Go into it. Jump on the platforms over the water and
the boss will emerge. Charge up a beam blast, and shoot him. Do this 5 times
while dodging him. Soon, it will change colors and will turn into the giant
X. Shoot it with some Super Missles to release him. Absorb him to get the...
***Varia Suit***
You will now have a cool greenish red suit now. With it, you will be able to
go into very hot or cold rooms, and even better, you will be able to absorb
the blue X's. Now go right. In this room, go right instead of up. You'll be
there in a second. In the next room, you will see some blue X's and a ladder.
First though, go through the door on your right to get to a Save Room.

Save here, then go back into the room with the X and the ladder. Climb up the
ladder, and absorb the X's on the way (notice how the avoid you now). When
you get to the top, go left. In the next room, you will see a Missle Tank.
You will have to jump to get it though, because the block right before it will
crumble. So jump and get the...
*Missle Tank*
On your way down, keep facing to the left so you can grab onto the ledge.
Roll into it so you are in a little cave. Kill the slugs inside. Then, shoot
a Super Missle up at the ceiling, near the top. It will reveal another...
*Missle Tank*
Once you get it, roll out and fall down. Go back to the room with the ladder,
climb up it and go through the right door this time. In this room, kill the
slugs and the creature that floats, climb up the ladder and to through the
door on your left. Kill the Geemer and roll through the passage. Fall
through the block and go left. You will now be in a room you were previously
in before. Go all the way to the top of this room, blast through the three
blocks and go through the upper left grey door. In the next room, go up, but
now you will be able to go into rooms you weren't able to go into before.
Still don't go into the first door on your left though, because you need Super
Bombs to do anything in that room. We'll come back to that. Continue up, and
go through the next door on your right. Blast through the blocks and absorb
the blue X's in this room, then continue right. In the next room, you will
see a Missle Tank. But this is no ordinary tank. If you get close to it, it
will show its wings and eyes and fly away. Its really an enemy! Kill it.
Use bombs to blow up the lower right corner of the room and roll through to
the otherside. Here, you will find the real...
*Missle Tank*
Go back through the two rooms to get to the vertical room again. When you are
there again, climb up the ladder and go through the left hand door at the top.
Go through the next three rooms so you are back at the Recharge Room.
Recharge and save, then go into the Navigation Room.

Navigation Room

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"How did that X download the Varia Suit data? This doesn't seem to make any
sense at all, unless the X... Unless the X have the ability to process data
organically... At any rate, you have the Varia Suit data. Now you will be
protected from extreme temperatures. More importantly, the SA-X will no
no longer be able to freeze you, so you can escape easier. But you're still
too weak. That thing is too much for you. You currently have no way of
damaging it. But my simulations indicate that a penetration weapon like the
Plasma Beam might work. Developing modification data will take HQ some time,
though. There's also a chance that you may be able to restore your Plasma
Beam by absorbing a large Core-X, as you did with the Charge Beam function.
As for restoring Ice Beam functionality, I doubt it... Your current cellular
makeup would reject that addition. Therefore, HQ has developed an Ice Missle
upgrade. This will add a freezing effect to your Missles. It will help. Go
to Sector 5 (ARC) for the download. Now, get moving."

Go up the Elevator. When you get to the Main Deck, run all the way to the
very end room on the left to get to Sector 5. Go down the Elevator.

Once in the Navigation Room to your right, they will brief you again. The
briefing is as follows:
"You need to download data for the Ice Missle upgrade, but... As you might
expect, the Data Room here is secured. Level 3 security hatches are yellow.
Release the security lock and download data as usual. And experiment with
those new Missiles. They will be helpful... You know what to do. Go to
it."

Out of the Navigation Room, save and recharge as usual, and continue out. In
the next room, fall down. At the bottom, you'll see that there are two locked
yellow doors. Go back up and grab on to the ladder on the left. Shoot two
missles at the upper right corner of the wall the creature is walking on. You
will make a hole. Roll through it. Go through the grey door on the other
side. In the next room, fall down (you won't be able to go up yet). Since
the door on your left is locked, go right. Kill or dodge the creatures the
jump up and float down. Then go up. Climb the ladder all the way up, then
go right. Dodge more creatures, then fall down again. Go through the grey
door on the bottom right corner. The next room you will be in is a frozen
room, but since you have the Varia Suit, you will not be harmed. In this
room, you will also see some familiar enemies, such as the Waver. Go right.
When you get to the locked red door, go down. Pass up the grey door for now,
and go left. When you get to the step down, use bombs to blow up the right
portion. Fall. Go left and through the grey door. Kill all the enemies in
this room, and run to the metal pole. From here, run back right, through the
grey door, to the end of the other room. The Speed Boost will make you break
through the floor. From here, go left. Fall down next to the locked yellow
door and go right. Blow up the block and continue through the grey door. In
the next room, use a bomb to destroy the casing around the Wavers. Quickly
use Missles to kill them and continue right. Fall down in the next room so
you are on a flat floor with a grey door on your left. Instead of going
through the door, lay a bomb in the middle of the floor to blow it up. Fall.
Don't mind the pulsating blob on the floor for now, go left.

Save Room
=========
Save and continue left. In the next corridor, you will see more blobs. Keep
going left, past this corridor and go through the next small room too.

Security Room
=============
Finally, no more locked yellow doors. Stand on the platform to unlock them.
Now go left through the newly opened door so you are in a frozen room again.
Go up this room, killing all of the creatures you can. Make sure to grab the
X's they release, or they will reform. When you get to the very top, use a
missle to destory the big block that is in your way. Then climb the ladder
half way and jump up. Go to the left wall, and shoot a missle at the ceiling
to open another passage. Jump up and go through the yellow door on your
right.

Save Room
=========
Save and continue right through the grey door. You are now back at the metal
pole. Open the pole and continue right. In the next room, go back up through
the ceiling and to the right. Go through the grey door. Open the metal pole
and go through the yellow door.

Data Room
=========
Finally, you have reached your target! Stand on the platform to get...
***Ice Missles***
Leave the Data Room through the right door. In the next room, blast through
the floor and fall. Keep falling to the ground, it will be a long way, and
you will past three Rippers along the way. When you get to the bottom, climb
back to the top of the ladder and freeze the top Ripper with your Ice Missle.
Jump on it and jump to the grey door you passed on your way down. Once
inside, you will see an Energy Tank, but don't be fooled again. This is an
enemy. Kill it. Then lay a bomb in the bottom left corner of the room to
reveal the real...
**Energy Tank**
Leave the room, and once again fall to the bottom of this room. Go through
the yellow door on your left. You will see the blob again, but this time an
X Parasite will float down and inhabit it making it to grow. Freeze it and
jump on top. Shoot the ceiling above you and jump through to the top. Then
go left through the grey door. In this room, kill the creature on the left on
the ceiling. The X will fly away and form into the creature again. Kill it
again, and make you you don't get the X. It will fly into the blob. Freeze
the blob, thus making a bridge. Climb to the top platform and run. Don't
stop, open the door on the run, obtain the Speed Boost and plow through the
wall. Jump up, and go through the yellow door on your right. In the next
room, immediately jump up, then go right. Jump up to where you broke through
the floor the first time. Shoot through the wall on the little nitche on the
right and jump up. Shoot into the middle of the block on the left, roll
through it, and fall through the floor. Now you are on top of the Speed Boost
blocks. Go left and jump through the ceiling again. Notice the barrier on
the left. You will come back to this, for you need Super Bombs to destroy it.
Instead go right, jump up, then go left and through the grey door. You will
now be in the giant room with the glass in the background again. Right when
you start to move, you will see a giant shadow whiz past in the background.
This is Nightmare. You will meet up with him later... For now, go through
this room until you get to the yellow door. Go through it. In this little
room, you will find a giant crab. Kill it if you wish. Also, you will notice
that the map says there is something in here. A Missle Tank is in this room,
but don't bother with it now, since you need Super Bombs to get it. Continue
left. When you enter the next room, it will start to flash red with the a
computer voice saying
"Emergancy in Sector 3"
From here, go all the way to the top of this room, and go through the door on
the left. Save and recharge, and go into the Navigation Room to see what is
going on.

Navigation Room

Once there they will brief you again. The briefing is as follows:
"Emergency in Sector 3 (PYR). The area could melt down soon. It seems the
Main Boiler's cooling unit is malfunctioning. This could easily destory the
entire research station, as it would likely trigger the auto-destruct
explosives. We have about 6 minutes. Hurry to Sector 3 and access the
Control Room to the side of the Main Boiler room. Most of the systems in PYR
are down because of this... Again, we know who to blame. The SA-X must have
hacked into the system control file. What impressive intelligence. There's
little time. Hurry to the Control Room in Sector 3."

Just like in typical Metroid fashion, Metroid Fusion has a variety different
endings in store for the player, depending on how fast they beat the game and
how much of the items they collected. There are five in all:
Over 4 hours: If it takes you over 4 hours to beat the game, you will be
treated to a nice full-body picture of Samus in her new Fusion
Suit.
Under 4 hours: If you beat the game under 4 hours, but over 2, you will get
a picture of Samus fading in with her helmet off. Then it
will flash to a picture of Samus' back with her looking to the
side waving. Very nice.
Under 2 hours: If you beat the game under 2 hours, then you start to get the
good stuff. Again, you get the fade in, but this time Samus
is shown with her suit off. Instead, she is wearing a blue
two piece with boots. Then it flashes to a rather provocative
picture of her tilting her head back while her hair flows down
her body. VERY nice.
Over 2 hours w/ 100%: This isn't such a hard feat, for you can take as much
time as you please as long as you get 100% item
completion. Once again, there is a fade in of Samus
with her suit, but don't be fooled, it gets better. It
then flashes to picture of Samus again wearing the blue
two piece. Here, she is standing in front of some sort
of city skyline with her hand in her hair. You really
get to see how revealing her outfit really is in this
one.
Under 2 hours w/ 100%: This, ladies and gentlemen, is the big one. For
completing this difficult task, Nintendo really
rewards you. The fade in this time is of Samus with
her suit off again. The picture it cuts through is
truly fantastic though. It is a full body picture of
her with a space background. To the left of her,
there is a nice "ghost" of her. This is a must see
for any Metroid fan.

As we know, Nintendo has been stressing the GC/GBA Connectivity lately, and
the Metroid games are the lastest to sport this great feature. With it,
players will be able to play the original Metroid for the NES on the GC.
Also, players will be able to unlock the Fusion suit in Prime. This suit does
not affect the gameplay. I will have more on this after I do it...
