This is my first FAQ, hopefully it's not too bad.

This is a DDR-style game based off the popular anime series
Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch.
In the anime, three teen mermaids take human forms to live on land,
as the sea world has become dangerous.
To fight monsters from underwater, they transform into singers.
Therefore, it's not surprising how this game works: Play DDR with your fingers,
and if you mess up, so does their singing.

Game start: At first start, you enter your name.
Method opens in hiragana, starting at the top left and going vertically,
the kana are as follows: a, ka, sa, i, ki, shi, u, ku, su, e, ke, se,
o, ko, so, ta, na, ha, chi, ni, hi, tsu, nu, fu, te, ne, he,
to, no, ho, ma, ya, ra, mi, yu, ri, mu, yo, ru, me,
- (extension bar), re, mo, (space), ro, wa, small a,
small tsu (used to double consonants-Hippo, for example, would be
hi-small tsu-po), wo, small i, small ya, n, small u, small yu,
tenten (A mark that changes the sounds in certain kana-
shi to ji, s-sounds to z-sounds, k-sounds to g-sounds, t-sounds to
d-sounds, h-sounds to b-sounds, and so on.), small e,
small yo, maru (A mark that changes sounds in certain kana,
h-sounds to p-sounds, etc), small o, another space

If you want katakana (If your name is non-Japanese, this is the
correct way to write it), hit the select button.
In katakana mode, kana are listed in the same order.
To finish, hit start to go to the main game.

Menu translations:

1."Pitch by yourself" (Green button): Takes you into 1P mode.
a. "Individual pitch" : Select a song off the list,
pick a character to play it as (when available), select a difficulty
and mode. (As far as I can tell there isn't much difference between
the modes-the right one is "feeling"), then play.
At the end of each song, if you do well enough you may choose to
save that song (up to three can be saved at a time),
or watch the performance video.
       1. Simple (Green button)
       2. Regular (Blue button)
       3. Difficult (Red button)
I will go into more detail on this mode in the rest of this FAQ.
b. "Continuous pitch" : Select a character, and play through all
applicable songs as that character (Solo songs will be played
with the characters those are for, no matter who you select
to play as you will play every song)
2."Pitch with everyone" (Red button): Allows you to connect with
multiple players via link. I have never tried this, so can't
provide details on the gameplay.
a. "Pitch together" (Violet button)
b. "Pitch competitively" (Blue button)
3."Your pitch" (Violet button): Takes you into settings.
a. "Pitch your name" (Red button): Lets you change your name,
input is the same as the game start.
b. "Cool pitch" (Blue button): Lets you change settings
such as backgrounds and icons.
4."Pitch with Hippo" (Blue button): Takes you to a mode where
you tell Hippo what to sing, then play a 1P game as him.
I will also go into more detail on this mode later in the FAQ.
5."Pitch live" (Gold button): Lets you view music videos of songs
you've already completed and saved.

Okay, back to the first mode. The list of songs and
who can play them are as follows:
Taiyou no Rakuen ~Promised Land~: Luchia (pink), Hanon (blue), and Rina (green)
Legend of Mermaid: Luchia (pink), Hanon (blue), and Rina (green)
Super Love Songs!: Luchia (pink), Hanon (blue), and Rina (green)
Daiji na Takarabako: Luchia (pink)
Koi wa Nandarou: Luchia (pink)
Splash Dream: Luchia (pink)
Ever Blue: Hanon (blue)
Star Jewel: Rina (green)

In the group songs, all of the characters' vocals will be present,
but the selected character will be in the lead.

During a song, the right-hand panel gives the following information:
-Microphones: When you mess up, you lose a mic. You do earn them back,
but the mistake will still factor into your final score for that song.
-Pitch meter: Shows how on-pitch you are.
Try to have this as filled as possible.
-Portrait: Is Hippo for Rina and Hanon, and Kaito for Luchia.
The character in the portrait will change emotions depending on how
well you've done in that section of the song.
-Score: The top number is for the song, the second for the rhythm.
These are recounted once for each segment in the song,
and factored together in the end to give you your final score.

After completing a song, the following screens show up:

-First screen after end of song: Score total
Song: (score on vocals) (button on right is your current difficulty setting)
Dance: (score on rhythm) (button on right is your current setting)
Large number in setting: Final outcome
Score at bottom: The highest you've earned on that song on that difficulty

-Second screen after end of song: Options
"See" (top button): Allows you to view the video of the song you just performed
"Save" (center button): Allows you to save that performance
of that song for later playback. Will be grayed out if you've done
better on that song on that difficulty previously.
"Exit" (end button): Takes you back to the song list.

Now that you've returned to the song list, that difficulty
on that song will have a new high score listed.
Underneath each song title is the following high score bar:
Green: High score on simple mode
Blue: High score on regular mode
Red: High score on difficult mode

Pitch with Hippo mode:
The default lyrics he sings are:
Everybody, sing!
Hippo is dancing
This is Luchia, Hanon, and Rina's song!
A ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
U fu fu fu fu fu
E he he he he he he he
O ho ho ho ho

You can input anything you want by hitting button A, the text input
is the same as on the name screen.
No matter what you put in, it will go to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy.
When you're done inputting whatever you want him to sing, hit start to get
to the menu for this section.
The blue button will serve to exit, the gold one will save the new lyrics,
the aqua one will have you play with the currently saved lyrics,
and the pink one will preview what a perfect
performance of the song will sound like.

If you pick 'play', the difficulty buttons from the regular
play mode will come up. Select one, and you'll go straight to
the game. Similarly to the regular mode, at the end you can choose to watch,
save, or exit.

You may also email me if you are confused on anything in this game,

(There is none yet because this is the first edition of this FAQ.),
and needless to say, you won't get what you're asking for.
