1. Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------

Not too long ago, I started playing Sonic Adventure
DX once again.  This time, I had a new goal -- Metal
Sonic.  I was intent on collecting all 130 emblems, and
not too keen on getting them myself.  So I turned to
GameFAQs.  To my disappointment, the site contained
very few guides to the game, and several of them were
on the same subject.  I made it my NEW new goal to
make this guide so no others like me will be
disappointed when they visit this site!  I must note
however, that I won’t be covering the Action Stages.
The game tells you what to do.  Why would you
need any help?

2. Adventure Fields
-------------------------------------------------------

Where better to start than the beginning of the game?
Nowhere.

======================================
2.1 Station Square
======================================

The emblems in Station Square are extremely easy to
find.
--The first emblem is located in the train station and
can be obtained with Sonic.  From the second floor,
walk along the edge of the wall until you reach a
platform above the entrance.  There you will find the
emblem.
--The second emblem is located in the casino area and
can be obtained with Tails.  From where you find the
Ice Stone, fly straight up and you should run into the
emblem.
--The third emblem is located in the town hall area and
can be obtained with Sonic.  Enter the burger shop and
walk down the hall to find the emblem.
--The final emblem is located in the town hall area as
well and can be obtained with Tails.  Enter the town
hall gate and turn right, opposite the egg-shaped rock.
Use your tail attack (Idle+B) to cut down the grass.
The emblem is hidden in one of the grass patches.

======================================
2.2 Mystic Ruins
======================================

The emblems here are a little trickier than the previous
4, but are still very easy to find.
--The first emblem is located in the train area and can
be obtained with Sonic.  From Tails’ workshop, look
left to see a cliff with the emblem sitting atop it.
Sonic’s jump can only reach it with the momentum of
a Spindash.
--The second emblem is located in the shrine area and
can be obtained with Knuckles.  Cross the bridge to
the shrine and turn left.  Head straight to the corner of
the land and face the tunnel leading into the area.
Glide in that general direction and you should see the
emblem floating in mid-air.
--The third emblem is located in the jungle area and
can be obtained with Sonic.  Jump down the ladder
and follow the path to your immediate right.  You
should find the emblem resting against a fallen tree.
--The final emblem is located in the jungle area as well
and can be obtain with Tails.  Fly to the top of the
hollow tree at Big’s house and land inside.  The
emblem should be resting at the bottom.  Tails must
rest at each stump on the side of the tree to reach the
top.

======================================
2.3 Egg Carrier
======================================

These emblems are by far the hardest to find, but are
still pretty easy.
--The first emblem is located on the deck and can be
obtained as Sonic.  The Egg Carrier must be in battle
mode.  Head to the platform where you fought Chaos
6.  Enter the cannon farthest from the deck.  The
emblem should be in the crate you hit.
--The second emblem is located on the deck as well
and can be obtained as Tails.  The Egg Carrier must be
in battle mode.  Climb atop the bridge and fly up to the
large circular platform.  NOT the one where you
fought Chaos 6.  The emblem should be resting in the
centre.  The platform can be reached in normal mode,
but the emblem will not appear.
--The third emblem is located in the pool room and
can be obtained as Tails.  Fly up to the platform above
the far end of the room, opposite the Hot Shelter
entrance.  The emblem should be resting on it.
--The final emblem is located in the captains quarters
and can be obtained as Sonic.  Enter Eggman’s
bedroom and press the switch to reveal his bed.  The
emblem should be on the wall behind it.

3. Sub Games
-------------------------------------------------------

These games have 2 emblems available, but the first is
usually obtained in the Adventure mode, so we’re
halfway done.

======================================
3.1 Sky Chase
======================================

This is a very difficult game and takes a lot of practice.
To get act 1’s emblem you must beat 8000 points, and
to get act 2’s you must beat (roughly) 22250 points.
There aren’t many good strategies for this but there are
a few.  Normally you would just point and shoot, but
by holding the fire button (B) you can lock on to
enemies and fire homing lasers.  This is extremely
helpful when taking out clusters of enemies.  Target
and hit as much as you possibly can, and with practice
you should be able to get the high scores.  Note that in
act 2 there is a swarm of idle, spiked enemies beneath
the Egg Carrier.  These enemies can be targeted from
very early in the level, but do not, repeat NOT focus
on them until the end.  You will have plenty of
opportunities to attack them, so the jets are your main
priority.

======================================
3.2 Sand Hill
======================================

This game is relatively easy, but you can get screwed
up pretty badly if you aren’t careful.  In this game, you
pass through gates to score points.  The more
consecutive gates you enter, the higher your score
multiplier is.  As you go down the hill, obstacles will
emerge from the sand.  Hitting them will throw you off
course, so try to avoid that.  Also try to avoid hitting
the speed boosters, because they can sometimes throw
you off course as well.  Try to find a straight path
through the gates and you should be able to easily win
it.  If you’re playing in Trial Mode, I suggest doing it
as Tails.  Sonic’s course is harder.

======================================
3.3 Twinkle Circuit
======================================

If you need a guide for this, then you’re doomed.  The
set record is 10 minutes and all you have to do is beat
it twice.  So on the first run you just have to do a bad
as possible, but still beat 10 minutes.  Then on the
second run just play like you normally would and
you’re done.

======================================
3.4 Hedgehog Hammer
======================================

This game isn’t too hard, but try not to set the record
too high in Adventure mode, since that’s what you’ll
have to beat in Trial mode.  The game isn’t that
complicated, just hit the Sonics, not the Robotniks.
I’ve also done some tests, and it seems that Super
Sonics appear more frequently in Trial mode.  It’s a
piece of cake, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble.
