This is my first FAQ, and for a darn good game at that. I'm going to give you
the lowdown on Mario Baseball, hopefullt tell you how to win, and give you my
opinion on players and stadiums!

The stuff you see when you start the game. Duh!
Exhibition Game- Pick your favorite characters and a ball park to play an
exhibition game.
Challenge- Round up teammates as you play against rivals. Your goal here is to
beat Bowser's team with your best team.
Toy Field- Throw, bat, and collect coins. A great game for 4 players!
Minigames- Play a variety of minigames.
Practice- Hone your baseball skills as you practice game controls.
Records- View game records here.
Options- Change game options such as sounds and the Rumble Feature.

Main Menu:
Control Stick: Select Menu Items
A Button: Confirm
B Button: Cancel
Batting:
Control Stick: Move batter/ Aim Hit
A Button: Swing
Hold A: Charge Swing
B Button Held: Bunt
R Button: Star Swing
L Button: Reset Batter to default position
Running:
Control Stick: Choose base to steal.
B Button: Tap repeatedly to dash.
Y Button: Steal Base/ Advance to next base.
X Button: Return to base.
Fielding:
Control Stick: Move characters/ Tilt breaking ball/ Choose a base
A Button: Throw a normal pitch/Hold for a charged pitch/ Throw to a base/ Jump/
Make a diving catch.
B Button: Check a runner/ Dash
R Button: Throw a Star Pitch
L Button: Reset Pitcher to default position,

The Main characters are the only characters you can pick for Captains, and are
some of the best known characters in the Mario world. These characters usually
have better stats than others.

Comments: Like the stats say, he's pretty good. His Fireball is awesome, but
otherwise, he's stricty above average.

Sliding Catch
Comments: Basically a copy of Mario, but with worse batting. That makes him
worse in my opinion.

Quick Throw
Comments: She makes a good closer, and is a valuable No. 2 pick. Go with the

Comments: Tied with Wario for worst combined stats (Only 9 points total), this
reformed dinosaur villian is not worth taking. She has a good chemistry with

Comments: He uses a boxing glove, and is a good pitcher! A good choice for a

gloves do work, I guess!

*Minor Characters* (No Star Skills)
Minor characters can not be picked as captains, but most have stats either
equal to or slightly worse than their captain counterparts. These characters
are either well-known boss and friendly characters or generic enemies. Goombas,
for example.

There are 6 stadiums to choose from, each with a different gimmick, ranging
from Chain Chomps to no gimmick at all! I'll tell you about each stadium and
the gimmick they may or may not have.
Mario Stadium:
Home Park of: Mario
Gimmick:None
Background: Looks like Isle Delfino from Super Mario Sunshine.
Comments:If you want to play a normal game, play here. My personal favorite.
Peach Garden:
Home Park of: Peach
Gimmick: Music-Note Blocks
Background: Peach's Castle
Comments: The blocks get annoying, but a good park otherwise.
Wario Palace:
Home Park of: Wario
Gimmicks: Chain Chomps, Sandstorms
Background: An Arabian theme, with a giant statue head of Wario.
Comments: My 2nd favorite. The sand storms can turn a fly ball into a
3-run triple, or a foul. Love the statue of Wario!
Yoshi Park:
Home Park of: Yoshi
Gimmick: Pirahna Plants
Background: Yoshi Story-ish, with Yoshi's house in foul territory.
Comments: A nice looking park. The Pirahna Plants are annoying, though.
D.K Jungle:
Home Park of: Donkey Kong
Gimmicks: Klap Traps, Barrels in the outfield.
Background: A jungle temple.
Comments: Dangerous. A fun park, but the Klap Traps really don't do anything
in my opinion.
Koopa Castle (Secret):
Home Park of: Bowser
Gimmicks: Fireballs, Thwomps.
Background: Bowser's Castle, with lightning striking!
Comments: A dark course, and the Thwomps block HR's. Darn you Thwomps!
~Minigames~
Minigames are basically, mini games inside the game. Each takes place in a
different park, and the minigames are based mostly on the park. Some are very
easy (Bob-omb Derby), some are hecka hard (Barrel Batter), and some are just
addicting as chocolate cocaine, like Pirahna Panic (Note: Author does not take
any type of drug. He does enjoy chocolate, though.)
Bob-omb Derby
Use Charge swings to compete for homerun distance in this minigame. Only homers
count for points here, and hitting 2 or more in a row gets you bonus points.
Comments: An awesome minigame, it's the one I always play in Challenge.
Wall Ball
Use Charge pitches to break walls in this minigame. Get the most coins by just
breaking through the music note wall. If your ball stops after breaking the
Bowser wall, half of your coins will be stolen.
Comments: A pretty hard minigame, but fun nonetheless.
Chain Chomp Sprint
Try to collect gems by running around the bases while the Chain Chomp sleeps.
If you move when the Chomp is awake, you'll lose gems.
Comments: This game is fairly easy and fun. A good time-killer.
Piranha Panic
Use colored eggs to hit Piranha Plants of the same color, or just hit them with
a Bob-Omb to get more points and make them mad. Watch out for the Fireballs!
Comments: Hardcore, fast, and crazy. Play this.
Barrel Batter
Hit barrels with baseballs. Barrels of the same color next to each other will
break as well. Doing this will fill a gauge, which, when full, summons a Bonus
Barrel. Hitting this in the next swing removes all the barrels.
Comments: A Tetris-like minigame, but a lot tougher.
Star Dash
Run around trying to get coins and avoid Thwomps. Bags are worth 10 until they
break open. Stars let you steal from others, Mushrooms let you go faster, and
Poison Mushrooms shrink you and slow you down. Most coins wins.
Comments: Fun and challenging. A blast with 4 players.

~Challenge~
In Challenge, you select a captain, then try to build the best team you can by
beating the other 4 teams, and completing Star Missions. When you think you
have the best team, go to Bowser's Castle and challenge him!
To get players, you have to get their scout flags. The number varies between
levels. For Captains, I've seen 2-5, and for Non-Captains it's 1-4.
If you can manage it, beating a team using the mercy rule gets you all of the
opposing players! This helped me a lot on Special!
My first Superstar? Boo.
My favorite team? Wario! I love Petey Pirahna!
