I. Introduction

Hey folks! Welcome to my Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow Item FAQ. It's been a year
since Soma discovered his inherent powers and nearly lost his humanity in the
process. Now he's ready to take up the fight yet again, and there's a whole
slew of items available for him to use. Upgradeable weapons, armor, health
replenishments, you name it! Here's a little list of items that he can use to
wipe evil scum off the face of the Earth. Hope it'll make some difference as
you embark on this latest quest in the Castlevania series.

Wyrm Robe A fire-resistant robe made from the hide of a wyrm.

Red Scarf A red scarf that has an air of melancholy.
Neck Warmer A cold-beating garment made of a new synthetic material.
Power Belt A belt that provides support to muscles.
Black Belt A black belt worn by skilled fighters.
Megingiord A belt worn by a deity of war. It amplifies power.
Hoop Earring An earring in the shape of a hoop.
Turquoise Stud A stud earring embedded with a blue-green gem.
Silver Stud A stud earring made of silver.
Gold Stud A stud earring made of gold.
Bloody Stud A deep-red stud earring made of ruby.
Platinum Stud An expensive stud earring made of platinum.
Tear of Blood A red jewel the color of blood.
Lucky Charm A good-luck charm for prosperity.
Mina's Talisman A talisman from the Hakuba Shrine. Said to suppress dark
souls. Equip it at a certain event to see the true
ending.
Satan's Ring A ring once worn by the dark lord.
Rare Ring A ring that raises the appearance of rare items.
Soul Eater Ring A ring that increases the appearance of souls. The Soul
Drop Rate doubles.
Rune Ring A ring that boosts the speed of MP restoration.
Shaman Ring Gain more experience points.
Gold Ring A ring that makes monsters (and torches) drop more
money.
Chaos Ring A ring that ceaselessly draws dark power from chaos.
Soma's MP regenerates very quickly.

All weapons have special attacks that can be executed with the A button.
Some items cannot be found simply laying around the castle; so will appear
only after defeating certain foes, acquiring certain souls for synthesis,
and bonuses for having played another Castlevania game. Here's a breakdown

6) Secret Items

Bell Obtain the Hippogriff Soul in The Abyss. Return to the bell
Room in the Dark Chapel. Use the Hippogriff Soul to super jump
into the large bell on the far left.
Crown Go to the long vertical section of the Demon Guest House.
Go into the small room that is above the Save Room. There
Should be nothing but a Waiter Skeleton and a large chair
inside. After the Waiter Skeleton is gone, go to the front
of the chair and press up on the D-Pad to sit in it. After a
moment, a large crown will appear, a la old school
Castlevania. It's worth 5000 points, but sells for half.
Konami Man Go to the Cursed Clock Tower. Look for a square room almost
entirely bordered with spikes, and has a single Slime and
Tanjelly guarding it. Go to the small section in the middle
That isn't covered by spikes, then crouch down. After a moment
Konami Man will fly across the screen.

NOTE: You get these features ONLY when you start a new file. Also,The Aria of
Sorrow Bonuses only work with cartridges that are from the same country. Mixing
and matching American and Japanese imported cartridges won't work.

found in the game, complete with their stat effects. Who'd of thought all of
this stuff would be featured in only one Castlevania game? Anyway, all of these
items are just waiting to be found and used against your hapless undead foes. I
hope this guide helps you, as figuring out different and effective combinations
of items can prove a tad difficult. I hope you enjoyed looking through this,
