A break-through towards the realization of spintronic devices and computers
of tomorrow

Invitation to a Press Release at KTH

  Sept 22 a Monday at 3 pm
  Dept. of Materials Science, KTH,
  Brinellvägen 23 in the Coffee/Conference Room.

  It is our pleasure to inform you that a new transparent room
  temperature Ferromagnetic semiconductor with a magnetic transition
  temperature that is a world record has been discovered.

  What does that mean? It means a dream might come true. It means a
  major step towards realization of very fast and small computers and
  electronics, based on spins of electrons. It means spintronics.

  The scientific Journal "Nature Materials" October-issue (2003)
  will publish our paper on this accomplishment.

  On Sunday 21, late in the evening, Nature Materials will give a press
  release from London.

  We will hold a press release here at KTH on Monday, Sept 22nd at 3 pm.

  It is on this occasion we invite your participation with friends.

  The tentative program to be finalized soon will contain:

  animation of the significance of our paper, and introduction of the
  coauthors by Prof. K.V.Rao
    * presentation by Prof. Börje Johansson
    * Comments by the Rektor
    * Comments from a high official from VINNOVA
    * Comments from Jan Nilsson, CEO of Nilsson Materials, AB
    * Question hour for the media
    * Reception.
    * Laboratory visit for those who are interested.

  You are most welcome to this memorable 'event' on Sept 22nd.
