I might be becoming a bit obsessed with SDF. The thing is, I'm not
really sure if that's a bad thing.
SDF is becoming the first thing I check in the morning and the last at
night. I will get on and stay on, just checking bboard or occasionally
hopping into com to see if there's any conversation going. I'll play
around in lynx or gopher or play games like dopewars.
Heck, I've even started my own gopherspace and have been doing a bit
of programming (though the lack of git is killing me [I'm only an ARPA
member]). | |
This may not all be bad, though, because I've wanted a good shell
account for quite a while now (well over a decade, in fact). Also, it
is good to get real unix experience (vs all the Linux experience I
have). Also, the community is great (so far) and I really want to be a
part of it. I've even joined a bboard-based RPG (check TABLETOP and
CAMPAIGN). | |
Part of me can't help but wonder if this will be another one of my
quickly-dropped obsessions where I'm completely enamored with
something for a short time, then drop it and never look back. I don't
think so, and I certainly hope not. Only time will tell. |
